I purchased a used zero turn mower and bagging system. The bagging system was custom order because of the age of the mower. It wasn't installed correctly and was blowing more leaves and grass back onto the lawn then it was collecting. I brought it back to them. They made the adjustments and delivered the mower with no cost to me. That's the way to treat your customer. They have me as a customer as long as I'm here. read more

I was not happy, but I did not make a scene at the time. Later, after I thought about it, I called the owner and explained to him what happened. He was not aware of the situation. Faulty website and rude employees. I ordered parts on the site 7/28. Delivery estimate 8/5 - 8/8. 8/8 evening I send email asking for tracking#. 8/9 no response. 8/10 no response. I call 8/10. Employee can not find order, refuses to let me hold while he looks. Hangs up on me. I call back and yes, I show my irritation - he hangs up on me again when I insist to speak with manager. Later that day I receive an email that the site does not work and my order has been cancelled. I waited two weeks for parts and then am advised my order is cancelled. Horrible experience. Oh dear !!! I sent my riding mower in to be fixed at a time of the year when mowing is slowing down, hoping to get it back within their advertised time frame. Without going into too much detail let me say that these folks are EXTREMELY disorganized. That includes not being able to find my mower! Okay, they had an excuse -- but they have excuses for everything. They are not timely, you will NOT get your mower back when they promise, they will NOT keep you informed, and they make no apologies for anything. The recording on their answering machine in the Fall of 2013 is talking about the soon to arrive Spring of 2013 -- no surprise there! I don't know what kind of quality the work will be, but it is not worth the pain of dealing with them. I'm trying Conway, SC next time. read more

Ripoff! Took my chainsaw there to have the fuel line replaced had it for over a week, pick it up it would not start and it was leaking fuel. They refused to fix it or give me a refund. read more

Took my lawnmower to GSE to have it fixed, it wouldn't crank. My mower had always been garage kept. GSE kept it for almost 8 weeks, didn't fix it, then left it outside in the rain, after they told me they would keep it inside. If they would have called me I would have gone and picked it up. I want all the stickers to stay on it. Then didn't call me to let me know they didn't think it was cost effective to fix it. I had to constantly call them to find out when it would or would not be fixed. I drove 50 miles and spent $50 to find out my lawnmower won't crank. I already knew that. Nice showroom. Taking it to another shop Friday for second opinion. They also used some kind of solvent or sompin that took the paint off me motor, that weren't cool. The Easter Bunny's comin. read more

Very bad customer services. Have done business here for years working for a large forestry company. Simple needed to make a return for an unopened in box generator and was told no returns or exchanges for generators. The receipt does not state this neither does the check out folks when purchased. Exchanging for a larger unit that was not in stock prior or store credit was not an option. The employees at the counter were rude and not understanding. Called several times and finally got thru to leave Jim the owner a message but never got a call back. Use the husqvarna folks in Andrews or Surfside instead they are much more customer oriented. read more

At one time this was a great place for buying lawn care items and for service. That is all in the past high prices poor slow service. Go anywhere but back to G'town small engines. I dropped off two chainsaw chains to be sharped, got the wrong ones back and grossly overcharged. They did noting to help find my chains. read more

I normally do not share my experiences in writing, I share my like or dislike through word of mouth; however, I am so displeased with this company that I do not want to see another person deal with any representative of this company. Three years ago I purchased a riding lawnmower from the owner of the company. I was told that if I would have my unit serviced before the end of February each year that they would pick up and return the unit free of charge since I had no way of transporting it approximately 25 miles one way. Needless to say, and after they complied to this agreement, it was something I needed to pursue to have them honor their agreement. I treat my mower like a new car. It is thoroughly cleaned and waxed twice a year. I called for service this year and had to go through the same process with the delivery agreement. Prior to them picking up my unit for service this season I washed the mower and sent it down clean. Two days later when they returned it the mower was filthy and damaged. It had 2-chips on the body of the mower, branch hanging from the frame, and mud and dirt all over the mower. I called the company, sent the unit back to them and then proceeded to drive to the store to speak with the management. Once there I was told that they would contact the owner in order to see what needed to be done. That was on a Thursday around lunch time. Friday came, Saturday, Sunday and Monday till 12:10 pm. NO CONTACT from anyone from the company. I finally called and was told the unit was done and that they were waiting for a driver. Tuesday came, Wednesday came no contact from anyone. I was playing golf on Thursday and after finishing my round I saw that I had 6 phone messages. they were waiting in my driveway to delivery my mower. Never a call from anyone from the company to tell me that they wanted to delivery the unit that day. Instead there was a message that said if I did not appear to accept delivery that I would be paying for the return and delivery of the unit. I was so mad that I immediately called the company to speak with the person that left the message. He told me that his delivery man told them that he spoke with me. I told him that his delivery man was a LIAR and that NO ONE ever contacted me about returning the unit. I am not happy with the repair. It is still noticeable, and when they waxed it there was polish residue over the whole unit when it was returned. In my opinion this is not a company you should do business with. read more

May 20th, 2015 I took my cub cadet to have the belt changed. They were to call when it was ready. I told them I would be out of town for a few days but would be back later the next week. I called on May 30th. I was told the belt had just came it and my mower would be ready the first of the next week and they would call. On Friday, (today) June 6th, I called in the am to see if it was ready. I was told it was in line to be completed soon. They recognized that I had been without a mower for 14 days and promised it to be done today. They did call and I did pick it up today and $150.00 later it has the same problem, and the belt was not changed (by their own admission). Apparently, they took the fender off to "adjust" the idler. So what was up with me being told a week ago that the belt had just came in?! I would love for someone to please explain to me what I waited for 2 weeks and paid $150.00 for?!!!!! I will NOT recommend to anyone!!!!!!!! read more
