This is amazing. Two weeks ago, we went to Home Depot to purchase a new dishwasher. It was supposed to be installed on October 1st. I still don't have it. We had to have an electrician/plumber come out and do some things. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday. Someone-somewhere cancelled the order. My husband didn't, and I didn't. If I ever find out who-they better look out. I will be buying a new stove and refrigerator beginning in the new year. I will not be going to Home Depot. There are other places such as Ace, Lowe's' and swift appliances. If you see me there, ask me why. read more

I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with the Protection Plans they offer on apliances? I normally pay extra when purchasing items and 2 years ago purchased a washer n dryer and the protection plan. Just short of 2 years the washer stopped working. Service plan sent a service tech and couldn't fix it. Now I am waiting for someone at the Insurance Company ( Allstate Protection) to decide what to do next. I have never had anything negative about Home Depot before. They always make things right. Any issues with getting the protection plans to make good on their ends? read more

I laugh at the sign "help wanted" outside the store. I need to wear a "Help Wante" sign when I shop!! The employees are there, but scattered few and far between. The sales floor associates love to 'ghost' it seems. I'll walk through that store and they'll walk by and avoid eye contact dreading they might, just MIGHT, have to help. Pathetic. I rarely have anybody come up to me and ask if I need any help with anything. They'll just stand around and talk to each other or quickly turn their back and walk down the aisle. Whatever happened to good customer service? I cannot blame the younger generation. These are seniors, who apparently want to get paid to do absolutely nothing rather than be bored at home, because they do exactly that. N-0-T-H-I-N-G. So sad. Do not buy ANY appliances from these people. Once you get it delivered and it doesn't work properly, you have to deal with the vendor. Our vendor was Samsung. After being disconnected 4 times because they obviously didn't know how to schedule a service call, I was told I would have to wait 48 to 72 hours JUST TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE VISIT. That does not include the time it will take for the repairman to actually show up, i.e., more time waiting. When a manager was finally reached back at Home Depot, I was told we could come and pick out a new fridge and they would deliver a replacement....which could take up to a week. I will never purchase another appliance there and neither should you if you are smart. read more

All staff wore masks. Floor folks were helpful but there's a real lack of friendly at the Customer Service cage. I did my best to cope with rude and abrupt behavior but she was grumpier than an old mad cat. Lowes was infinitely more accommodating. They'll be getting my money not Home Despot. read more

I've been coming here for years and I have completed many projects through this store and have purchased a few appliances as well. I actually live closer to Lowes, but I make the drive to Home Depot because overall I've had better experiences with Home Depot including an easier check out process (their machines don't require every little thing to be weighed), easier to return items (with pro extra, they log all of your purchases through your phone number or cc). Would recommend to anyone you is goal oriented and wants to get a project done efficiently and professionally. read more

Went to this Home Depot on 3/15/21 around noon to buy wood screws for a deck project, complete with photo of the screws needed. Looked up and down the hardware aisle and didn't see what we needed, so my friend stopped a Home Depot employee at the end of the aisle. He was on his phone but stopped long enough to look at the photo and say, "They're down this aisle behind that black display" and then went back to his phone to say, "...and they stuck me here in Hardware....." Much too busy complaining to help us. We went back to where he'd gestured but still didn't find what we were looking for and he was still on his phone complaining so we decided to run up the road to Lowe's. Lowe's was happy to have our business, we found the correct screws, and made our purchase. read more

The store is located in a high traffic area and can be hard to get out from. As for shopping it's your typical big box hardware store. People for the most part are friendly but if you do run into someone unwilling to help you just go up front and ask someone else. I needed a piece of Masonite cut and the first guy I asked said he would lose his job if he cut it. No problem I just asked another guy and he cut it up in a couple of minutes. read more

I recently purchased a double bathroom vanity online from Home Depot. The vanity was delivery by a company called NSD, who Home Depot contracts to do their deliveries. The vanity was damaged and I called Home Depot to have the vanity picked up for return. They gave me a tracking number to give to NSD when they called. They never called to arrange pickup. It's been more than 2 weeks and I still have not received a call and have been unable to schedule a pickup. And refund. I then ordered a second vanity from Home Depot as I am working with my contractors schedule. That vanity was delivered damaged as well. Severely damaged, I might add. I again called Home Depot to have the second damaged vanity picked up and was given another tracking number. I am unable to speak to any NSD representative as they automatically disconnect the call. It is unbelievable that Home Depot would utilize such a shoddy and irresponsible third party contractor. I have called NSD everyday for the last 2 weeks. I get an automated response asking for my tracking number which I provide. I am then asked if I need to speak with a representative and when I say yes, I am immediately cut off. I have also gone to my local Home Depot store twice, they have called NSD and left a message and still no call from NSD for pick up appt. The Home Depot customer service representative had no suggestions for remedy!!!! I have 2 damaged double vanities in my garage that I can't seem to get picked up. I can not used my garage for our cars. I am also due a $ 2800 refund that I'm not getting until damaged merchandise is returned. I'm in my third week. Shame on Home Depot for not stepping in to help. This has been very frustrating to me and has taken up a lot of my time. I have been a long time Home Depot shopper. I am unable to leave a review on Yelp for NSD, I have emailed them as well. I'm am frustrated that Home Depot can not make other arrangements with other vendors to pick up their damaged items. This store is full of idiots! Two bad experiences: We went to buy a washer and dryer. Since the person in the department was clueless, he said, "why don't you Google some reviews on this and come back before the end of the month when you figure it out as the sale lasts until the end of the month." This was in November! We marked our calendars for the last day of the month and went to buy a washer and dryer and found it was no longer on sale. The sale only lasted until the day after Thanksgiving or whatever. In any event the manager was clueless and said tough luck. We waited patiently until the next sale. We went back and purchased our washer and dryer even though it was more expensive than the November sale. We said to our sales person that we are moving in a few months. He said no problem we can hold it for you. So today we called to change the delivery address to our new address. We were told we cannot do that. We are moving 2 miles away from our current home. The person said the only way we could change the address was if we cancel our purchase and rebuy at THE FULL PRICE! Seriously Home Depot is it possible to have this many stupid employees in one location or are your rules idiotic? I need to contact your CEO as this is simply ludicrous! read more

I had left some flag poles at one cash register in the garden department while i went to get something else. When i got back the cashier had moved to the other register. Okaaaay... I turned my cart to that register and went to get my poles. She said " after all, we have to do what works for us." I said "god forbid a big business do something that's right for the customer. " She looked at me and said , very sarcastically "it's really not that big a deal. " And it was, in fact, not a big deal but her attitude was. That's when i said "never mind. Never, Never, Never use the Murrells Inlet Store if you need plumbing installed...we bought a toilet and paid to have it installed...I think the installer from some local plumbing company. He arrives about 4:30. He spent a long, long time standing in our driveway smoking cigarettes. After the longest time he got our old toilet out and then he had it sitting in the drive way with the new toilet while he smoked some more. About 5:30 he announces that the new toilet ( a $260. Kohler toilet), was missing a part and so he left to find the part. He comes back at 7:15, and has just started the install. This is THE WORST service EVER! read more

I have been shopping at Home Depot since the North Haven CT store was opened, around the late 80's. I always had a great feeling about the staff, customer service etc. for many years. The only time I had a bad feeling with HD was when they decided to eliminate the % discount I would get on an item if I used my HD credit card. The times changed and Lowes opened In CT had the same % discount using my Lowes card and it is still available. I switched to Lowes for anything that they both carried. I now have retired to South Carolina and the HD is closer than Lowes, so I started using HD again for everything. Everything was fine until recently. HD, I am told, has taken the ability for a store manager to allow problem returns to be approved. I have a $209 item I was trying to return since November. Apparently the customer service rep could not find my purchase in the credit card system. So I am told that I need to talk to an outside company, The Retail Equation, to try and get it approved. Well I can tell you that TRE is a very hard company to deal with. They can quote company line and that's it. When I ask to speak to a manger there, the person I was talking to said you have all the information and hung up. This is really TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! The item I have, is in the original unopened box. They didn't care about anything I said. I would tell you that the company that you are using, TRE, Is not a company that I would trust talking to my customers, if you wanted to keep them as a customer. I am sure my purchases are not enough for some companies to worry about but I can tell you that this is not the way HD has operated for years. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT. In March I went to our local Home Depot to purchase a refrigerator. Of course nothing was in stock so I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator with a delivery date of May 5. This is for a vacation home 5 hours from home. We came down and two days before delivery we get a phone call stating refrigerator was not in stock yet so now delivery is May 27. Came back down for delivery. On the 25th I called Home Depot to verify it was still on schedule to be delivered. They affirmed it was. Next day my husband received a call from delivery people confirming we would be home today from 10-2 for delivery. He confirmed we would. Today with no refrigerator delivery by 2, I called Home Depot and they stated that you have a new delivery date of June 17. I'm not falling for that again. So called the local store and canceled order. I requested a refund check and not a refund to my Home Depot credit card because I had already paid the balance off. But were they willing to do that? Absolutely not. Refund to my credit card then I have to request a check. Worst customer ever. read more

Home Depot delivered my new washer and drier yesterday. Installers said it worked perfectly. Tried to use it today. Put clothes in. Set wash cycle. Turned it on. Came back ten minutes later to find it merrily cycling without a drop of water. The installers hadn't bothered to check if the water was even on. Not only that, but if they had, they would have caught the problem that in my new home the hot and cold on the faucet had been reversed. Lesson learned. Before you let Home Depot's installers in your front door find out if they know how to do anything but drive a truck. read more

This is directed to the Home Depot in home services outsourcing jobs I have had Home Depot to come in and put vinyl siding up on my house paid for all of front it was ordered they said the job was to start on a certain date it took about 3 1/2 months for them to get started on the job after dropping off materials this killing my grass because it's at my front yard being an eye sore for 3 1/2 months. After it was installed I was advised that if It ever needed it to be fixed in anyway to give them a call and they will be right out I have called them numerous of times already to come and fix the problem of some sagging vinyl siding that was not properly put on they have yet to show up I don't know who is to blame for this but this is very unacceptable read more

The service desk employee was very attentive, quickly contacted the department where the item should be, and had the department employee waiting for us to locate the item needed. I made an order online. The first was a table purchased through HomeDepot.com. The other was for a store pickup on 2 rocking chairs. My fiance called the store on the Friday to arrange pickup on Sunday, and we were told the chairs would be at customer service. Later that night I received a cancellation email from the store, so I decided to call the following morning. After speaking with a rep, I was transferred to the Store Manager. The following response I received is the reason I'm posting this review. He made excuses, blaming the online service, then blaming his in-house system, etc. Never once did he accept or acknowledge that his team member made a mistake. Sadly, the guy was absolutely clueless. So he locates 2 of the same rocking chairs at the local Myrtle Beach store and ask to put those chairs on hold. The day I was scheduled to pickup the chairs, I called the MB store and they said they did not have any in-stock. I've never experienced such terrible customer service. Home Depot corporate should really think about training opportunities at the Murrells Inlet store. I am very brand loyal, and I always seem to have horrible service. I can't say I'm surprised that Home Depot 's service 200 miles away from my home is terrible. read more

I gave three stars as "A-OK" only because in the end, after some of our time was wasted, much aggravation, and we were forced to send complaining faxes, a total of $420 was credited back to us We even had to email photographic proof of cosmetic damages that happened during the installation of our two new silestone bathroom counter tops. We had a good rep at H.D., but her hands were tied to her employer's procedures to handle complaints. H.D. basically makes their customers who have legitimate complaints "jump through hoops" to get justice. While it is understandable, and reasonable for H.D. to require everything in writing and photos, it is not reasonable to expect all customers to have a camera, to know how to send pic's online, or to have a fax machine at home with a dedicated fax line! After having to send a "cancellation fax" due to the fact that "Stabella's estimator" (H.D.'s Silestone contractor in NC) misled us by calling his company in front of us and telling us that they would move our two big mirrors for installation purposes ($300 credit back to us to hire a mirror company, since we were forced to pay in full up front). Here are the complaints that we emailed our H.D. rep: 1. Both of the bathrooms' walls incurred multiple rips & chips during tear out, as shown in the photos. One of the installers said that they are not allowed or expected to repair this, and that they assume this is part of a remodel and our painter will take care of it. We were not told up front that we, not H.D., had to repair any resulting cosmetic damages done to our home during installation. We did get a $120 credit back to us, which made a total of $420 in credits that we had to spend our time in getting, and faxing, written estimates from a "glass & mirror" company, and a painting contractor, or we would not have received any credits. 2. We were told that pads would be put down on our hardwood floors &/or carpet. The only pad they put down was directly in front of the sinks. 3. The first faucet hole was drilled inside the house with the counter top already installed. While they did use a shop vac, dust still went everywhere, and cleanup was minimal, including leaving dirty handprints on a side wall. My husband asked them if they could drill the other bath 2-sink faucet counter top holes outside, and they did so. 4. At first they told us they aren't supposed to caulk the side backsplashes, which would have left an unfinished look of holes & gaps. They did agree to do this caulking after I asked them to, as It didn't make any sense. Why wouldn't Home Depot/Stabella want a complete job to be done when side back splashes are part of that job? This was unbelievable to us. 5. After the previous aggravation, at the end of the install, we were asked to sign an Installation Customer Approval/Installer Waiver of all possible Liens, which we did not believe was appropriate to do after reading it thoroughly. What really upset me is that the two Stabella installers said to us that they won't get paid until we sign away all our legal rights by signing that "waiver of rights" form. I thought that was a "do it for us" sales closing approach to get us to sign. I'm sure some customers fall for it. So, while we did eventually get credits back on our up front, "paid in full" money, it will be up to you to decide if you want to have your time and talent wasted, along with a lot of aggravation, especially if you don't have the fax, pc, and camera equipment handy that we did. I say this applied to counter top installations by H.D., since I've got to believe that some cosmetic damage should be expected by H.D.'s contractor, Stabella, when doing a complete tear out/install. Oh, and it appears that Stabella also goes by the name "Stone Systems of North Carolina", as it has the same address and phone number (also same address & phone # as "Silestone of NC"). That first name is listed on the BBB website, and shows a "D" due to the fact that they did not respond to one complaint filed against them with the BBB. When I was, the employee practically ran me over with his machine then asked if I needed any help. as a way to get me out of his aisle. When I told him what I was looking for he proceeded to ignore my request for assistance by staying on his machine. I anticipated on buying a sander and a saw. Will never shop here again. Get a call from rep of home depot who didn't have anything right and could not even say my name properly. This women then put me on hold for TEN MINUTES, I finally hung up- who the hell puts the customer on hold like that. Get Another call from a rep who can't find anything and tells me to go back to the store- After I gave him the SKU# and Model#. Tried to Call the Murrells inlet store Numerous time and no one answered the phone. Went into the store today 11/3/17 walked to flooring asked for Candee said she will be in later. not even trying to ask or help. CALLED the Manager Linda and explained to her why Home Depot is loosing tens of thousand of dollars-THE INSTALATION PROCESS SUCKS, and it always has.
