Went here on Saturday September 20th 2025 with my parents. We went to this location for the 1st time, after coming from nearby Office Depot and Hamrick's. This lowes is located in a shopping mall, which is convenient in a sense. We went in here because My dad wanted to show my mom some items like we looked at refrigerators, a broom closet. We also looked at some shelving as well. We also checked out the garden section and got a few hose attachments. We enjoyed looking at the Christmas and Halloween outside decorations, as they had a huge selection of them! There were also try me buttons everywhere! Store was clean and organized! Anyways, we then went to the self checkout, paid via a credit card, and then went on our merry way! We will be back to this one if we are ever in the area again! read more

This review targets Lowe's Corporate. Ordered 3 plants online, as they were not available locally. About $90. One plant arrived timely . Two other plants were shipped by Fedex. As i tracked them, they were sent to 6 states over 2 weeks. Arrived dead. Notified Lowe's & Lowe's credit card. Was assured my account would be credited $66. Never happened. Received a letter from Lowe's credit that because the plants were delivered, I was not eligible for a refund. Paid the bill, cut up my credit card & now shop at Home Depot. read more

Very disappointed in how Loews treated us. We purchased new patio furniture via Loews app for delivery and assembly. I will list the problems below. 1.They advised of an incorrect shipping and arrival date, subsequently causing some consternation for us, since my wife and I both work. 2. When the items finally did arrive, they were just dropped off in boxes at our front door. My wife called Loews, their response we do not assemble items that are shipped directly from a manufacturer to the customer. We never saw this policy mentioned in or order fine print, or on the website. 3.Last item, one piece of the furniture was defective and we are still awaiting resolution. read more

I needed a new refrigerator. I brought the dimensions into Lowe's Surfside Beach gave to the associate. He recommended looking at my dimensions and it's hard to tell when refrigerators are altogether this beautiful refrigerator when delivered it was a rocket ship. It was so big it overpowered my kitchen so I had to return it. I went back picking an exchange. Finally got a delivery date later than I had hoped for five days later. Waited almost 4 hours within the timeframe they gave me. They came started unhooking the one they were taking out and then let me know that the one they were delivering was damaged. The plug was damaged. It could not be plugged in so I had emptied everything out of my refrigerator and freezer again then they scheduled red delivery four days later. I kept everything in bags in the fridge and freezer because I wanted to keep it clean and pristine. Delivery between 10 and two again four days later. No text messages no updates called Lowe's at 2:07 PM was put on hold. In the meantime I got a call from Salt Lake City saying the truck broke down so they can't deliver it again. The girl checking on it said it was out for delivery so I had to update her and say no it's not. It was then documented that I was cursing to the customer service rep which I was cursing at the situation because I have loaded and unloaded three times. Customer service horrible why I wasn't notified first off they were running late and then I had to call to find out that the truck broke down. I will never do this again with Lowe's. read more

Went there today to get mulch the way they had their system set up is really bad. None of the managers don't care. They cut the attitude when all the people got really upset. They were like 20 people in line with their cars, waiting for mulch to be put in their cars. I think Lowe's needs new managers because they sure don't know how to do there jobs they had one kid out there no older than 21 years of age trying to load up all this mulch by his self shame on Lowe's for doing this read more

How's this for knocking the competitor: I am a Home Depot shopper but today, because I am pressed for time, I ran into Lowes, only because they are right near me, to pick up some windshield wiper fluid. There was a customer with a cartload of wood and joists, and as the cashier steps out to ring up the merchandise, I said it reminded me of my days working at Home Depot as a cashier. He says to me, we don't use that word here. Me: What word? Him: Home depot He enters my item into the register and one of the co-workers asks him what "word" interrupting my purchase. Then holds me up to talk business with him, leaving me waiting to finish my purchase. Meanwhile I've a ton of things I have to do, so I tap my card to make the purchase and he stops me, wanting ME to wait until the coworker tells him something that had nothing to do with me. I tell him I'm in a hurry and I can't wait and said to her, I'm sure you can wait another minute so I can go. She gets huffy and on that note I pay for my order, look at them both and say: "This is why I shop at Home Depot." read more

I didn't have problems with this Lowe's until today! I've been coming here for two years but after today.... I returned a water pressure washer cause I needed a stronger one. I asked the customer service girl to page someone to help me with the pressure washer cage. She did. On the way back I passed two employees one was a woman and the other was an older guy with a grey ponytail. He was just standing there so I asked him for assistance with the pressure washer cage. He acknowledged me. I went to the cage and stood there a bit. Came out of the aisle to find THAT EMPLOYEE WALKING AWAY after looking at me. So I left empty handed and went down the street to Walmart to buy one. I will NOT be treated like that!!! Very RUDE!!! read more

The app always gives you the incorrect directions where to find things in the stores, which is frustrating. It is also not updated to reflect current store inventory. I typically find that the employees here know less and are less helpful than at a Home Depot. One of the things I find unacceptable is that they don't train their employees to let you push the button to request an email receipt. This is obviously important for business transactions and the like. They immediately print out the receipt which requires you to go back to customer service and refund and redo the transaction. Just a simple common sense training to allow the customer to choose which receipt they want while checking outshould be allowed and encouraged. read more

I just walked through the entire store look for garbage disposal and 3 employees walked by without speaking or ask if I needed help. I pulled out my phone just to find where they were. I had to stop a lady just to ask what isle they were on. At check out, self checkout that is, I had to say good night out of frustration because the 3 employees standing there didn't speak either. I purchased a washing machine on 9/5/22 at the Lowes store #1004 in Myrtle Beach, SC. They ran my credit card through the machine at this same store on 9/5/22 and it was paid in full. I elected to pick it up rather than have it delivered due to my work situation. I was told to go to the customer service desk on 9/13/22 at the same store and they would take care of it upon my arrival. I followed these instructions to the letter. Upon my arrival the customer service agent asked for my phone number. I explicitly remember giving my personal number at checkout so I wouldn't miss a call from Lowes. I was rudely informed that it was not in the system. I pulled out my receipt and gave him my order number. By this time because of the attitude of the agent I was annoyed. I'm a business owner and generally very congenial to personnel because I know they work hard. If the two at this counter were my employees, I would have sent them to customer service classes. They don't belong behind that counter. Finally, the original agent brought the washing machine up from the receiving dept and set it in front of his station. Then the girl said that I couldn't take it out of the store. When I asked her why she said it was because I paid the North Myrtle Beach Lowes store for the washing machine and I had to pick it up there. I thought she was joking. She wasn't. This girl was unusually nasty which is amazing for a customer service representative. Lowes has outdone themselves with this person. She reiterated this multiple times to my amazement while my husband was requesting a manager. This is the funny part. Since nobody would do anything. My husband, while standing next to the washing machine, called the customer service department and requested a manager. She asked what it was regarding and he said a washing machine. She was only 3 feet away from him and turned and glared at him. She did however, put the assistant manager on the phone. Here is what happened. The assistant manager knew this was over the top and we were not going to leave without the washing machine that we had purchased at that store and told to pickup at that store. There was no way that we were going to drive 23 miles out of way. Something had been changed in the system by someone. She canceled the original order and placed a new order with a 10% discount. I think it took us approximately an hour and a half to straighten this mess out. I'm 62 years old and disgusted over what happened. read more

This morning trying to get to the garden center it took three carts then at the cashier the bag of dirt had a hole in it. Cashier wanted me to go get another. No one around to help. I spent the day with my mom and no day would be complete without a trip to Lowe's. The garden center is her favorite spot so we stuck to it during this visit. In general, the selection was a bit scarce because of the time of year. The plants and flowers are organized. They had several racks by the entrance with clearance plants and flowers. We purchased an EGo lawn mower from Lowe's last August. Registered the purchase on line with Ego as requested for warrant protection. The mower died today. Called EGo and got a case number and was told to bring the mower to Lowe's and they would send it out for warranty work. They asked for the receipt when we tried to drop it off. We don't have it anymore. We were given a number to call and told they could get the receipt number for us. One hour later and they can't find it. Nothing comes up. It was put on a Lowe's charge card but that bill isn't good enough to get warranty work done on a 10 month old $600 mower! They don't care and neither does EGo. read more

WOW - what a terrible experience. There was literally 100 employees just walking around. However, in the paint department at 1pm there was one black young man wearing a face mask. To say he was slower than "crap" would be an understatement. To say he IGNORED customers standing at the counter for help would be an overstatement. He was slowly walking to grab a gallon of paint adding color and shaking it. No hurry, no rush just slowly grabbing one can at a time just wandering back and forth. DO NOT RECOMMEND! We will NEVER use Lowes (in Surfside or any other location) again for any of our home needs and we would never recommend Lowes to anyone! August 2020 we found a water leak inside of our bedroom wall. Which resulted in our entire drywall and flooring being damaged. We had it removed and allowed it to dry out and had the drywall replaced. We could not find the laminate to match the flooring in the rest of the house so we decided on carpet. 10/14/2020 Lowes sent out someone to get measurements and stated Lowes would contact me when they recieved the measurements which would take a day or two. 10/17/2020 we called Lowes to check the status of our measurements & they were in, we just weren't notified. The same day we purchased carpet and installation from Lowes. $670.33 10/25/2020 we had a piece of laminate in the doorway that needed to be cut for the carpet to be installed so we took a photo and went to Lowes to make sure it was something they could do. They said "yes! No problem, the installation crew will take care of it!" 10/26/2020 the installation crew arrived. The crew stated Lowes is telling customers they do things that they do not do, that they do not cut laminate or install transition strips in the doorways. (We paid $50 for transition install & $60 for 9 ft of transition strips that Lowes said we needed). So the crew said if we hired someone else to cut the laminate they would come back the following day and finish the carpet. So they left the carpet hanging out of the doorway into our hallway unfinished. 10/27/2020 we went to Lowes as soon as they opened the following day to get things worked out face to face with the staff. The staff member stated the install crew DOES cut the laminate and install transitions and they will send someone out that night to finish the job. WE WAITED AND NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP! After going back and forth with Lowes and the install company manager they stated we had to hire someone privately to cut the laminate then they would come back and do the transitions and finish the carpet. Thanksgiving week- it took a few weeks to find someone to come out to cut the laminate but we did get it done finally. We called Lowes immediately for them to come back and finish the job. 12/9/2020 nearly two months later we are finally getting the carpet finished! The same guy arrives and once again stated he will finish putting the carpet down but he does NOT install transition strips. HERE WE GO AGAIN! we've spent over $100 just for these transition strips and install! My husband called the Lowes store and explained everything once again, now this staff member is saying they will have the install company contact me by Friday to schedule the install of the transition strips! So our carpet is still not finished and we are so done with them! Dealing with all of this while being pregnant has really been a horrible experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I ordered a White full size bed online from Lowe's and when I received it the bed was cream. When I called customer service the rep told me she could give me a 5% discount or I could return it with a 25% restocking fee.?? This rep also informed me that Lowe's was not responsible for what their vendors send a customer. The 5% isn't going to change the tacky color it came in. The bedroom this is for is White not cream. If I wanted cream I would have ordered cream. This is my first and last purchase at Lowe's. Lowe's is lacking severely in customer service. read more

Horrible staff! The short little manager was very rude and extremely disrespectful! I was looking for outdoor carpet. I waited for over 40 minutes after they called over and over for someone needing assistance. I requested advice on how much carpet to buy and he was clueless. After I (not him) figured out how much I would need. I asked him to cut it and my contractor would pick it up in the am. He refused and said I would have to take it with me. When I asked why, he responded that other customers ruined it for me. What?!?! He said they would have to sell it at a reduced price because it would have already been cut. Are you kidding me?!?!? If I don't pick it up and it's paid for that would be free to the store! I would never go to this store. They are short staffed and the reason is probably because this rude little manager probably treats his employees as poorly as he treats his customers! Do not ever go there! read more

If I can save 1 person the horrible experience I've had with appliance delivery with this review. They sell you in the store you pay in full get a delivery date and that date comes and goes. I called 100 x after no one you get can say where your order is. They just keep saying on the truck. A week goes by after staying home day after day to a no show. Finally 3 unsavory characters show wasted and say this won't fit through your door ‍ then you're back to square 1 and out $$$$ thousands of dollars. Delivery is a 3rd party service and Lowe's has 0 control over them. Please if you're looking for appliances go to some else. read more

Beware of Lowes I share a house with my sister in law. My sister in law decided it was time to replace the old windows in the house with more energy efficient windows. Big Mistake. My sister in law is elderly and from the sales person through the actual installation they took wicked advantage of her. She was very specific in what she wanted. The windows she had in mind should not have cost her over 250.00 each. The sales person refused to order the windows that my sister - in -law requested. Her total bill was over $9,000.00 to replace just 8 windows. She requested windows that had no inserts and could open from the top down. simple basic windows. She only wanted screens for the tops of these windows. The windows were delivered short one window. The installers came to put them in, had ripped out the old windows and opened the new ones to put them in. Low and behold they were 550.00 windows the ones my Sister - in - law specifically did not want. They all had inserts and here we were with a house with pets and had to let the windows be put in. She was told Lowes would compensate her. Meanwhile the installers left broken glass, nails, and debris all over the inside and outside of our home. She has been on the phone close to 20 times with Lowes trying to get a relolution and they in turn offered her a compensation of just over 300.00 She has declined it. I will not purchase anything from Lowes not even a screw driver because of this. They have had her in tears. Not to mention this all happened days after the tragic loss of her son. Lowes is garbage at customer service and in making things right. One last thing. The screens were full screens that were put up 3 of which were coming apart and had to be replaced. So now my elderly sister in law can't safely clean her windows. If I could have given them a 0 stars on this review I would have. I ordered a dryer and had it delivered. The dryer was not delivered until 10:00pm. After trying to use the dryer it did not work. We called the Lowes I ordered it from and was told it was shipped by the distribution center and I had to call them. We called and after being cut off the first time we were on hold for an hour and 15 minutes. They offered to send new dryer but would be another week before we would be shipped because they sold so many during the holiday sale. I said I should be moved to the front of the line since I originally ordered before the holiday. She agreed but still will be another week. Calling corporate office was just as bad. I was told wait would be over an hour. I tried to expedite a complaint on line and was informed that cost $15.00. I am done with Lowe's. read more

We ordered and paid for a stackable washer and dryer on Feb. 7th at Lowe's. Here it is May 15th and still no-go. We have a 23 inch dryer as ordered sitting in our living room, a 28 inch washer sitting in the location, of course they are not compatible. We have made 4 300-mile round trips when told delivery is scheduled to no avail. This time we were told delivery would be today but are now told they are not certain when it will arrive at their regional distribution center. In addition, they scuffed up our brand new flooring . To give them even a single star is a stretch. We have told them to come get these units out of our place and to credit our account. We'll see how long that takes. I will not use Lowes ever again for a major purchase and cannot recommend them (as you can tell) to anyone else. read more

I arrived at Lowe's 4:20pm, agter about 10 minutes waiting I asked someone to call me help, I was being pretty patient. After intercom for help at paint was called the employee (older gentlemen) looked at me and was not doing anything, 5 minutes later there are two other customers behind me they asked for someone to call as well. The gentlemen finally came and asked what I needed which was two sample paints, he looked confused and I asked if he got it and I said I'd walk around and be back in a few minutes, I came back about 4:50 for the samples and he moved on to the next customers order that was behind me in line for multiple gallons of paint and he said to me he had trouble with getting my sample to come back 10 minutes later. This Lowe's is right off the bypass with a huge parking lot. It has for sale home improvement items, i.e., panelling, tools & hardware, yard, garden & nursery items, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, lighting, fixtures, plumbing, electrical, appliances, flooring, doors, windows, lumber, paint, seasonal & holiday items and so much more. Most times, you are pleasantly greeted by an employee at the door. As you shop the aisles and come across an employee, they usually offer assistance to help you locate what you are looking for. This store has some different items than you would find at Home Depot, but it is my impression Home Depot seems to have even more of a selection. I purchased paint, and when I went home to use it, the color was too light. I went back with one half can and asked them to give me the darker version of what I wanted. They took the mixed paint I had and added more color to it, it was exactly the right color I had wanted, and I wasn't charged for the remix. The lines tend to be 4 people long or less most of the time. Several self serve registers are monitored by one employee, who is there if you need assistance. Lowe's offers a store card so you can keep track of what you purchased there, in the event you lose your receipt. I have shopped here for several years and have had Lexan and wood custom cut for me. I had no issues with any purchases here. Electric carts with baskets are provided for the handicapped. Handicapped parking is not as close to the entrance as it could be, and there are not enough spaces. All in all, my experiences shopping here are positive and I recommend shopping here for your home improvement needs. read more

This was the WORST Lowes I have ever been to...........waited forecer for someone to help me with blinds...so I just figured it out myself but 2 people walked past me in department with nothing to do...... then I went to paint department. Guy there spent five minutes tapping down lid on paint can and glancing at me out of corner of eye......but kept piddling away at small tasks. Finally after ten minutes I hut the need help button he had on counter...then he scolds me for hitting button. I said well you saw me, didnt acknowledge me, couldn't say hello I'll help you in a minute nothing. I waited ten more minutes cause someone was coming and no one ever came. I did self check out OF COURSE and asked for a manager who took another ten minutes and never showed up. STay away from this no help facility. Do I even have to give them one star? read more

I want to recognize Lowes in Surfside Beach, SC for excellent customer service. I was at Lowes today to purchase two storage cabinets. The two cabinets were unassembled and in boxes. The boxes were heavy and I needed help to move them onto the flat cart and then load them in our van. A Lowes associate named Jacob was very friendly and helpful and assisted me in loading the boxes onto the cart and then loading them in our van. Jacob did a great job and he is a credit to your store. read more

I always though Lowe's was good, but I will never buy anything large at this location again. $2,000 order for tile, made in person, was supposed to come in last Friday. It did not. I called in 4 times yesterday, and never got anyone in the flooring department. I kept getting transferred back to customer service, who then kept transferring me back to flooring, but no one ever picked up. Finally I went into the store, waited in person for a good 30 minutes. Kept asking associates for help, even went to the customer service a few times. Kept being told the would find someone, or page someone. Even heard them page a couple times. Oh, and I was waiting in the flooring department with other customers. Finally a manager in customer service informed me there was no one in flooring that evening. There would be the next morning. So, I start the circus over again at about 9 am the next morning. Again, keep calling flooring, no one picks up, keep getting transferred to customer service, who keeps transferring me to flooring. Then I tell the customer service person I don't mean to be rude, but I keep getting the run around again after what happened to me the previous evening, so she transfers me to flooring saying there is someone there, and it rings and rings and rings, it transfers me back to customer service who then transfers me back without saying a word. This goes on maybe a dozen times, taking up what felt like 5 minutes, but I'm not hanging up because I need to know where my tile is. I have people coming to start installing it today, I mean I know they have some demo to do first, but I know they will need the tile very soon. Eventually it get put on hold and I sit on hold for another 5 minutes (the complete time of the call was close to 15 minutes). At that point I break and I hang up. I called back again, and finally got someone. I'm sorry, but you should not have to go thru this much BS to find out what happened to an order you place in person, in the store, and they have you pay upfront to place it. When I called in yesterday, a simple "there is no one in flooring right now, they will be back in in the morning would have saved me over an hour or two of my time, and I likely would not have been so pissed to write this stupid review. Yes, I would have still wasted probably 30 minutes this morning in their phone circus to get hold of someone to get my answer, and to that end they need a better way of answering phones, but it would not have been so bad. I get it, they have other customers, and thanks to the idiots running the country good help is hard to find, but come on. I run a business, and if we treated a customer who paid upfront for a service that we did not provide on time, and then I gave that customer the run around like this, I would lose that customer. read more
