From beginning to end, they were all very helpful and knowledgeable. Jenna drew up designs and took into consideration our needs and concerns. She would inform us what would or would not grow well in our area. Jimmy, the gentleman who installed the landscaping, he too was very knowledgeable and explained quite a bit about the plants and the care of them. If I could give 10 stars I would! We did a complete landscaping replacement around our house. From planning the design to completion of project was wonderful. Jenna works with you and designs your project in pictorial software that allows you to see the new plantings in Photos of your beds. Their installation crew was extremely professional and I was 1000% pleased with their work and the results. Their pricing was extremely reasonable as well. I had a consulting appointment on March 8 at which time I told the gentleman I was looking to redo my flowerbeds, probably raise them, and add some hard scapes such as a water feature, etc. Their brochure says they do this type if work, and I spoke to them at a home show. The gentleman they sent had no knowledge of landscape design and suggested I plant more Crepe Myrtles for privacy. i already have 7 trees in that space, two are Crepe Myrtles... He then told me it would take a while for his daughter, the designer to get back to me, up to ten days...no worries, I can send her photos if what I want and we can go from there......or not, as it has been over a month...: I guess my $10,000 budget wasn't enough incentive for them to get back to me. I'll give True Blue a call, like I should have done in the first place! I was given glowing reports about this company's landscaping. Called made an appointment for a walk through and for them to build an estimate. A gentleman came out and walked the property, took notes made suggestions and even a copy of our plot plan. He then told us it would take at least two or maybe three weeks to get an estimate done. They would call and set up a review with looking at plants. That was October 23rd. I called after three & a half weeks and was told they were working on it and they would call me. Crickets....have yet to hear anything. We went with Coastal Landscaping Group. Called, estimate within a week and installed three weeks from the beginning. Happy now. read more

Unlike the nursery down the road from us that treated us like gum on their shoe the first two times we visited their establishment, it was a pleasant surprise to receive the level of service provided at Southern Scapes Landscaping & Garden Center. The gentleman that waited on us was very professional and also very knowledgeable! When we checked out with our purchase we praised the manager for the attention we received while shopping at her business. Thank you all again for the great experience! Representative came out to my home and looked over the type of landscaping work I was interested in doing. Took measurements, notes etc. When he was done he told me I would be emailed a quote for the work I had requested. I am still waiting for that quote. It has been around a month since the rep was here. My opinion is try another company for you landscaping needs. read more

I am very disappointed with Southern Scapes. We ordered a windmill palm and the tree was delivered in very poor condition, not the condition we'd seen at the nursery. It was not covered in the trailer and suffered severe wind damage in transit. 25% of the fronds were damaged. The tree is now turning yellow because of poor installation. Also, we paid to have them remove an existing tree. They ripped it out of the ground and tossed it in a nearby flower bed. There was no follow up by the office to see if we were satisfied with the tree or their service. The only thing they got right IMO was delivering the tree on the scheduled day. The tree is an embarrassment compared to my neighbors' trees. I would strongly recommend using another nursery. read more

We purchased 4 palm trees from this company through our landscaper. All 4 died. They charged $ 75 dollars each to remove the dead ones. They cost $450 each so we lost $1950. Another landscaper told us they were planted too deeply. Never again. read more

We wanted our back yard landscaped with a tropical look. Unlike some of the other companies they designed our yard for free, others want to charge for the design. The design was excellent and the work was scheduled two days after reviewing the plants in the design. Their team showed up on time and worked very hard all day. She has patiently listened to my landscape concerns and has been professional, kind, informative and knowledgeable.
