It was overcooked, and mostly breading. Some of the pieces were so hard, I couldn't eat them. It was also super greasy and gave me a bit of a tummy ache after eating it. I would recommend avoiding the orange chicken if you eat here because the other menu items were much better.

Extremely disappointing experience at Sitara. The way customers are treated here is simply unacceptable. The staff showed very little respect or basic courtesy, and the overall attitude made us feel like our business was not valued at all. For an Indian restaurant, the customer service was shockingly poor. It felt like they cared more about taking the money than treating customers with basic respect. The experience was frustrating, unpleasant, and honestly embarrassing. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants, and this is one of the experiences I would absolutely not want to repeat. Good food cannot make up for rude behavior and terrible customer service. If you expect basic courtesy, professionalism, and respectful treatment as a paying customer, think twice before coming here. Very disappointing experience, and definitely not a place I would recommend. read more

Tried it once and we won't be back. Service was terribly slow but understandable as they were busy and understaffed. That would have been OK, but the food (mostly) was worse. On the positive side, the Chicken Biriani and chicken saag were pretty good. But, the Lamb vindaloo had no spices or taste at all. It was like tomato soup with meat and a couple potato chunks in it. The garlic naan tasted like it was store bought frozen from Trader Joe's, rather than homemade fresh baked. And the butter chicken was just so so. We normally love leftover Indian food and had ordered extra dishes with a bunch leftover to take home. We did have it packed up and ended up handing it all to a hungry homeless man we met on our way out to the car. He was stoked and at least we felt good about helping someone in need. read more

It wasn't even made and they didn't seem to care about me. I asked the lady up front how much time left and she said "what should i say" So I continued to wait an additional 15-20 min for my food which ended up burnt and more spicy than I asked for. not very happy with this place. Oh and instead of giving me a discount on the spot they decided to give me a hand written coupon for 20% off for next time. How nice of them. read more

There was also a ton of incense burning everywhere (not advertised online), so I won't come back. The naan was good, but didn't remind me of normal naan. It was just a flat, oily bread, in my opinion. It was the best part of the meal. The Chana masala was mid, as was the rice. Neither were anything special, and the rice was not just plain rice like at a lot of other places. The lady talked me down from spice level 5 to 4, but I'm glad that she accidentally put it in as a 5 (judging by the receipt). I'm a habanero person, and I need to stop listening to people who talk me down. I still needed to add habanero flakes. If I ever go back, I'd get it a level 6 (above the normal scale). The hot sauce they gave me had no discernible spice whatsoever and just tasted like mango. I don't recommend asking for that unless you like mild/no-spice liquidy mango sauce. All in all, it's a mid restaurant with a lot of incense everywhere. It's not BAD food and the portions are great, but I've had far better. One of my favorite parts about the atmosphere was elevator like music with the cute decor, had a lot of that old brick building vibe that Ogden is known for and it all work together pretty nicely. I don't particularly remember what care I got, but I got it with lamb and a hot level spice. I usually can hold my spice pretty well, but this push the limit on that, so for those out there, you will probably want something mild or lower as it was pretty intense, but really good! Now, for my favorite part, the naan was absolutely fantastic. Sometimes you get naan that is really dry and overcooked, but this one was soft buttery and added to the meal to an extreme level . And with it being downtown, you could eat here and walk anywhere in ogden. It's right next to the junction and everything on 25th St. All in all, I definitely recommend as there's not many places like this in the Ogden area.
