Not only was she friendly and knowledgeable, she made sure I was comfortable with the information she provided and allowed space for me to ask follow up questions without ever getting impatient or frustrated with me. My handle came off and, in our attempt to replace the screw--it was dropped and lost. Upon arrival, I was told by Tina, Hardware the store did NOT carry this handle. She referred me to Millwork's. "Lil John" from Lumber without any hesitation he and Tina tried to locate a screw to fit my door handle. After multiple failed attempts--they suggested that I find the door model number to try and locate the handle. Upon my return, I met Sarena (Millworks) and Theresa (Pro Desk); these ladies went well "above and beyond" searching on-line to find the replacement door handle. They were able to find the part on-line. I want to formally commend these four (4) employees for their "professionalism" and "willingness to assist" me. Based on the customer service I received I will be returning to the Capital Heights, MD store. JOB WELL DONE!

It was available as stated, I was notified in a good amount of time and the pick up process was seamless. They check identification, which I'm happy about, as so many places these days simply take you at your word and don't. With high price items, it is a must. I came in to look for outdoor deck cushions and a storage bench. I've been looking and had already been to the other store. They also had what I was looking for so I just needed to make a decision. I like that the deep cushions for deck furniture comes is sets. They sell the deep cushion and the pillow together. They have an array of colors. While here I went to the plant clearance section. YES! Lowe's has plants on clearance! I always go check it out. I was trying to figure out the prices when the gentlement escorted me to the sign. Doh! So, I bought a few palms, pansies, and a beautiful assorted plant all on clearance. WINNING! Come check out the plants on clearance!

They scanned the barcode, and it came up in their system--but they still couldn't return it because it had been delivered from the Waldorf store. Apparently, since it was a special order (34" x 81"), it had to go back into that store's inventory. What's the point of shopping at a nationwide retailer if returns are tied to individual store inventories? It feels like they care more about their internal systems than customer service. My advice: never place special orders for delivery--have your contractor pick them up instead. Ironically, I'm returning it because I don't even need a "special order" size after all; I just needed a standard 32" x 81" door.

I was especially impressed on the most recent project that included mounting of a digital photo frame. Carlos simply "wasn't having it" to mount the frame with the electrical cord showing! He expertly drilled holes and snaked the cord through the inside of the wall and back out just above the electrical outlet for an amazingly clean look. He had the finishing caps to cover the entry and exit holes too. Carlos and the crew also took a very personal interest in mounting my career memorabilia (22 plaques and awards!) beautifully in my home office. And they are undaunted by "oddball" stuff like mounting clips for a tapestry in my media room to cover unsightly electrical panels. Their excellence starts with the manager Marc who gathers a LOT of information from you (pictures, model numbers, installation videos, etc.) so that the crew arrives fully prepared. Not only are their prices very competitive, but Flatpack offers a flat RATE quote so that the crew stays until the job is completed. I'm very pleased to have found this amazing company.

Updating review on this inconsistent company. After a great first experience, I hired them a 2nd…read moretime. Completely different story. They do not stand by their work. Everyone makes mistakes, (I had specifically requested 6 brackets be installed; was told that was overkill, 4 would be plenty; it wasn't) but you communicate with your customers and you fix them. This company was interested in doing neither. Within two days of completion, the shelves they built came crashing down, inflicting further damage on my wall, closet, and adjacent mirror that was knocked off. Of course, I reached out immediately, asking that someone come back to make the necessary repairs. (Mind you: I couldn't even access my closet during this time without making it worse, nor could I move my dresser to plug back in my nightstand light, which had been knocked out in the crash as well.) It took a week to even get a response, which was basically "Oh, I didn't see your email." (Note: Their full page invoice does not include company phone number on it, so I assumed email was their preferred contact. I'm sorry you were out of the office, but maybe your business could set an auto-response email at the very least?! And maybe when you return, check your in-box?? Or better yet, follow up to assess client satisfaction after project completion?) Marc informed me that he wanted the same worker to come out and handle the repair, but that he was out of town and would reach out to schedule me by Friday of that week. I asked that he respond by phone or text (wanting to get this resolved quickly). He didn't listen, and instead emailed again, declining my request to please just send whatever worker was available sooner. I followed up a week after that, only to understand I'd been forgotten about again. I tried a third time. Three weeks later (it has now been a month since shelves fell) --nothing!!! I gave up and had to hire another company to come fix everything, paying them to undo the job I paid Flatpack for, AND repair (i.e., remove damaged metal strip along closet, mud and tape drywall, re-paint after re-hanging shelves securely) the further damage they caused. Completely unprofessional company management. Lesson learned. I had at least three more days of work for these guys ready to go, but would never hire them again. If you want to feel unvalued as a customer by a company that doesn't stand by its work, this is the one.
