So I wanted to try out my bed for at least 30 days before writing this review. Amazing! Love it! After returning my last one I felt hopeless, and this was also the 3rd sit and sleep so I was cursing sit and sleep every chance I got. Until I went to this store in Oxnard. Chris was awesome! Patient, understanding, helpful and understands what customer service is. Go here for a bed! I purchased a matress and an adjustable base with pillows. read more

Warranty department is a joke!

Ken at this location, and Marshall in Calabasas were tremendous. We bought the bed from Ken here in oxnard (keep money local), and he was a pleasure to deal with. Good deal, good selections, great products. Highly recommend Ken and this store. read more

Paid over $2,200.00 for a brand new mattress & box spring. What arrived today was completely different. DAMAGED FLOOR MODEL! This is a crooked business. David at their Oxnard store cheated us. He never told us anything about a floor model. SIT N SLEEP IS A RIP OFF! DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR COMMERCIALS. I am taking action. Images available! I am surprised they are allowed to remain in biz. This place is a complete "bait n switch" operation. David outright lied to me n he's 80. I thought one would rely on an older person. Total fraud. read more

We bought a great mattress with an amazing base that allows the bed to raise up both at the head and foot portion. Dave was a great guy and never pushed us or tried to get us to buy something we didn't want. They delivered it the next day. Carlo and Fernando were our delivery guys and they were super nice and quick. Overall it was a great experience. If you buy a mattress tell them Jen Rond referred you and I will get a free pillow. read more

Great customer service. Marty was very helpful and expedient. I had an idea of what I wanted when I went into the store but, nevertheless, with all of the choices, he really helped me narrow it down. He really knows his product. I'd definitely recommend Sit n Sleep. Delivery was very efficient as well. I got a call that evening with delivery window (between noon and 3:00) then another call the next day alerting me to delivery arrival within 10 minutes of that call. Wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again. read more

Bought a mattress from this location and the employees were helpful. They didn't try to do sales tactics on us but instead listened to our needs and suggested a few models to try. We didn't feel pressured to buy something we didn't want. It was quickly delivered and they didn't charge us for the delivery. Overall we are happy with a purchase and would use them again in the future read more

Great experience and Jason Wasley was really easy and great to work with. We made the mistake of bringing both are five and two-year-olds to test out beds and those kids couldn't of been more patient and Jason couldn't have been more patient with us; we were really impressed with everybody's customer service and the behavior of our two and five-year-old. The buying experience was easy the testing of the mattresses was great. Jason was very helpful and how he approached the buying experience and the testing of the mattresses as I said very patient. The nice part was the lack of stress in buying the mattress he really was generally there to help guide us and in the end we chose the right set up for us. Unfortunately I made a mistake in which type of king size bed we needed and when delivery occurred and delivery guys saw that it was the wrong one they immediately explained that they would call corporate they would get the right mattress and Marty at the store called back within 30 minutes to advise that the the correct mattress will be coming tomorrow. Very impressed with Sit N Sleep and looking forward to getting our bed tomorrow. read more

It should be called "Sit n Sleep customer service stinks! When we purchased our first mattress with them, we did not get the mattress we ordered. After a few weeks of arguing, they finally said they would replace the mattress. We went down and picked out another mattress. It was delivered and within six months the mattress began to break down. So, we had the inspector come out again and while he stated the mattress was breaking down and covered, the box spring was not and that it was damaged as well. They stated that they would not cover the mattress until we purchased new box springs, waited six months and called them again to have an inspector re-examine the mattress at that point. I do not understand how people can conduct business is such a manner. You clearly state the mattress is defective, but you won't replace it? Nice loophole! read more

I was fully expecting to walk into this store and have to lay on every mattress to find one that I liked, but that was definitely not the case. Marty was so quick to help me, and by using Bed Match I was able to find the perfect bed in less than 20 minutes! Not only was it so easy to find a bed that I liked, but buying the mattress was so quick! Instead of getting it delivered I chose to pick it up in the store, and when we got there we literally walked right in, grabbed it, and put it in the back of the truck. Marty even helped us with moving the mattress! I could really not have asked for a better mattress buying experience!! Marty truly is a great asset to this company. I would recommend this Sit 'n Sleep to anyone!! read more

We visited the Oxnard store and bought 2 mattresses only because we were tired and in dire need to replace our mattresses. I like to look around on my own then ask for help. We got here and it was a very slow night as we were the only shoppers. Unfortunately we were ambushed by "Dave" who ignored every "I would like to look first". We decided on a mattress but he never allowed us to look for anything else. Not only that but he practically called my husband a liar when we told him the measurement of our mattresses which we had just measured. We were exhausted by the time we got out... OVER AN HOUR LATER. I've bought a car in less time! He is obnoxious and never lets you talk let alone buy accessories for yourself. Won't refer people to him at all. read more

I bought an adjustable bed from them and my remote quit working so I called the number on my remote for service and they said they would need the serial number off of my base or call the store and they should have it but they didn't and I am disabled so can't get underneath my bed to get the serial number my complaint is why don't they write it on your receipt or at least tell a disabled person that if you ever have any trouble you will have to get underneath your bed to get the serial number. I had an excellent experience here. This was the second store I visited in search for a mattress and when I walked in, I was nervous. David Stengel introduced himself; instantly, he was very friendly and ready to help. He wasn't over eager, nor pushy. He showed us a variety of mattresses and stayed within our price range. He never once pushed for over our budget and working with him was a breeze. We were extremely satisfied with the whole process and Davids excellent customer service! read more

Worst customer service EVER! They left us without a bed. We had to stay in a hotel room because of their delivery screw ups after re arranging our work schedule twice to accommodate. Called the store to get help. Assured our complaints would be addressed by top level! After a week, No follow up. This was my third mattress from them. So much for customer loyalty and respect. Clearly, they made their sale and couldn't care less about what they put us through. Lotta talk, Larry. Deplorable. read more

My wife and I were looking for a mattress. I started the search online and boy did I get on over my head!! I didn't realize there were about 10,000 mattress companies in the world! After being inundated with mattress adds in FB and IG! I'd had enough and decided to go old school. Don't laugh, my wife and I walked into a mattress store!! Boy am I glad we did!! It was late on a Friday, so we had the whole store to ourselves. We were helped by Alex. He set us up on the bed that assess your body type and narrows the beds that work for you. It really narrows down the mattresses that you have to look at. Once Alex took over, he was extremely knowledgeable! He has been in the mattress business for 11 years and it really shows! He is also very personable and you really doesn't make you feel like you are being sold through the whole process. We ended up with a $1300 mattress that we got a great deal on for $800! I highly recommend Sit and Sleep in Oxnard and especially Alex! read more

We came in to buy a new bed after having a sleep number bed for 12 years. Alex made our buying process so easy. He is upbeat and friendly and has a tremendous amount of knowledge on the many innumerable types and manufacturers of mattresses. But he doesn't stop there! He also is an expert in bedding textiles and pillows as well. We could not have sorted through all the information and choices without him. Very very happy with our experience with Alex and Oxnard Sit 'n Sleep. We cannot wait to finally have a comfortable night's sleep! read more

I hate to be this person!! But I feel like I have no choice at this point. Let me express that David at the Oxnard store was great! Did his job and we purchased a mattress. David assured us that the mattress would be delivered on a Sunday. PERFECT!! I am off Sunday's that is just perfect! I work in health care with this Covid-19 I have been working up to 100 hrs! Our hospital has blacked out any and all PTO if ppl hade vacation approved, well it was revoked. Now the company has called & after speaking with 4 different people they can only deliver Monday's between 9-12 ugh! Or giving me the option of picking up in Gardena I mean where the heck is Gardena! NO that's is not an option. They tried to use the virus as an excuse. I mean like the virus is going to change from Sunday to Monday. Couldn't work out delivery asked for a refund. Guess what! They can't tell me when the money will be refund could take 10 days. I'm SO upset!!!! Not writing names because I'm above that, and they are just employees. read more

Omg why didn't I come here first ?! So after trying 3 different online mattress companies (purple, nectar & dream cloud) all of which were anything short of horrible. We decided even with COVID that we had to just try in person. We came into sit n sleep and found Alex who was nothing short of amazing. We had a screaming tired toddler in toe and even with all that Alex was patient and professional and made sure to take his time explain everything and make sure we got exactly what we wanted and needed. Nothing less and nothing more. There was no pressuring or sales pitch only simple to the point information. The place was spotless and we felt very safe especially with a toddler among COVID concerns. As soon as we came in we were directed to a console that asked personalized questions, after answering a handful we were directed to lay down on a mattress connected to this computer while it read our body and had us lay in our preferred sleeping position. After the data was collected we were told that the "blue" marked mattresses would be the best choices for us. Let me say this was a huge help and really cut the guesswork and time we spent shopping in half. So glad we decided to go and again Alex was amazing definitely ask for him to help you. You won't be disappointed. read more

My wife and I have been looking for a new bed set for about a month and today we finally found the right one. Right away as we walked in we get greeted by Alex Muro, the assistant manager all I've got to say is wow hit right on the money on what we needed. We first got our bed type using the bed match machine it set us both up with the best bed set ups for us. We laid on three beds and by the third we made up our minds Alex did an amazing job going into detail with every question. By the time we had finished both my wife and I had a much better understanding witch bed would work for us best we chose the perfect bed and below the price range we had in mind . We did try out the more expensive type of beds but we didn't feel pushed into the expensive beds like some of the other furniture stores we had visited before. Instead he focused on our needs and took us right to what would be the best for our needs. It felt as if we were family rather then them trying to make a sale witch is nice considering we've been on the hunt for a bed but felt as if we only got shown the expensive beds because of our budget we had but not here we got what our body needed vs making a profit off of us and for that I will be definitely returning for our next beds from now on and will be sending anyone looking for a bed this way read more

GOOD JOB ROBERT! Came in to buy a bed with adjustable base for our mom. She's read up on the reports of the benefits of adjustable bases and decided it was time to update her old mattress and frame. Robert provided us friendly & professional sales service, the delivery was on time, all the items ordered were delivered and set up completed according to paperwork. So much so that my wife and I ended up purchasing a new bed thru Robert with, of course, and cool adjustable Series630Plus base. A few minor issues that were straightened right out and all in all we are very pleased. Thank you Robert and delivery crew of Christian and Kevin for a job well done! read more

Go to the Oxnard store! This is a copy of the letter I sent to Sit and Sleep customer contact: I am writing to you to express my appreciation for the excellent customer service I received from your store manager, Robert Flores, at the Oxnard Sit and Sleep. After buying an adjustable bed and mattress I was unhappy with the mattress as it did not bend well on my adjustable frame. Robert had encouraged me to purchase the mattress protector when I purchased the Simmons Mae mattress and I'm so glad he did because after 30 days I was not happy with it. The protector assured the mattress was in, as new, condition which enabled me to exchange it for a foam mattress. My new Serta Prodigy mattress bends with my adjustable frame and I am very happy with it. Robert went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and comfortable with my mattress purchase. I hope that this is the kind of service continues to be present in your stores as this is exactly what customers want to have. I plan on buying another adjustable bed and mattress this summer and I will go back to Robert at the Oxnard store due to his knowledge, patients and fantastic customer service. Please let Robert know that he is an asset to Sit and Sleep and that customers appreciate him. Thank You for hiring him! :-) As a side note. I was very happy with the comfort of the Simmons mattress but due to the coils it just never bent the way I expected it to. That is the only reason I exchanged it. I wish it would have worked out because the foam Serta cost me extra money but it bends with the adjustable frame and well worth the money to me. Lisa Mac read more

First of all this company is false advertising. They state your mattress is freee! When we first bought our bed we let them know that about our physical conditions and looking for a bed that would help us both sleep better at night. Even though we both have medical challenges we are not heavy set our bodies will not sink a bed in 6 months. Around 6 mnths the bed started sinking in getting softer. My husband called costumer service just to get one of their experts to do an evaluation on our bed. This guys was heavy guy. Sat on the bed to do the test. He only made it worse. We received a letter saying our bed was in good condition firm. That was not true. Now we are stuck with a $2000 bed. Please please do not buy from this company because it's not true if your not satisfied your mattress is freee! It's not free! read more
