    Bavarian pretzel with Beer cheese
    Jasmyne R.

We went here NYE and had a couple of different items. We had the Royale Burger, Chicken wings, Bavarian pretzel, and the Fishwich. I also had the Tenacity Red Ale to drink. The food was pretty good, the only thing I didn't like was the Chicken wings. The texture of the skin threw me off. They were rubbery and kind of hard to eat. Also a little dry. I wouldn't order these again. The burger was good and so was the fish sandwich, just good. The Bavarian pretzel was huge, probably as big as my head and it came with mustard or beer cheese. So of course we got the beer cheese and that was pretty delicious. The Tenacity Red Ale was pretty good. I'm giving 3 stars for the food and 4 stars for the service. Our server was so nice and attentive. Checked on us a few times and our food came out in really good time.

Stopped in to check out this big cool looking brewpub. They were decked out for Christmas. The host came right up and offered me options to sit. I chose the bar seating area. It had a good view of the restaurant, bar, and street through the huge front windows. I got a big Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and their house mustard sauce. It was so good and very filling. They had the best clam Chowder I've ever had! It was so deep with flavor and packed with clams. Delicious. I got a house salad to go and it was so big I couldn't finish it. It had lots of fresh veggies and even to-go it was extremely well presented. I got the balsamic vinaigrette, which was perfect. My server/bar tender, Mike, was awesome. Fun, funny, and so helpful to answer all my questions, of which there were a lot. I got two of their IPAs, the Saint Urho and the ISO. Both great, but I liked the St. Urho a little more. Both served ice cold and perfectly carbonated.

I'm already looking forward to my return to Sisu! The space was great. Very spacious. Plenty of room for small and large groups. Staff was very attentive. We had the salmon cesar and chicken wings. If I had to do it again, I would not get the house smoked chicken wings. They might be your jam, but they just weren't mine. Plus, even after washing my hands postmeal, the lingering smoked scent from my fingers wafted up to my nose continually as my hands were on the steering wheel the rest of our drive home! I did not get to indulge in the beer because of the drive home we had ahead of us, but the beer descriptions sure did make the beer sound amazing! Would love to return and try something different off the food menu as well as taste testimony of the beers!

Cool little brewery with good food! I didn't really go inside and instead opted to sit on the patio. Service was good. They have lots of different beer but I only tried one. I tried the St. Urho IPA. I picked it solely based on the name alone and due to my Finnish heritage. It was one of the better IPAs I had in the PNW. My main objective was good. We started with the fried dill pickle chips. I really liked these and I feel like they were really well done. The breading was light but it stayed on the pickle. Definitely recommend and would eat again. For my entree, I had the Sisu Salmon Sandwich: grilled salmon, mixed greens, cucumber, tomato, radish, capers, mustard dill sauce, toasted bun, and lemon. The sandwich comes with fries but I opted for a Caesar salad instead. The salad was good. I'd eat it again. The standout was the sandwich. There was so much going on but in a good way. The salmon was fresh and well cooked. I've never had a caper on a sandwich and the flavor and texture it brought were a pleasant surprise. I definitely recommend this and would order it again.

We were in town and stopped at farmers market and was looking for a non packed lunch option as we had our fur babies with us. It was around 11 am and had open tables on the outside. We drive by it (at least the location) but know this owner just opened at this location. Service was okay but the food options were plentiful and well priced for what you got. I would recommend giving it a shot if you are in the area!

A great new addition to the main streets of Astoria. Taking over the Foodhub on Marine Dr. Their second location newly opened. Sisu Brewing has a well balanced tap list and tasty eats. Lots of room in the building with bench and stool seating. Great for groups. The place is very clean and bright. You can order at the bar but they will also server your table. Sports and shows playing on the TVs above the bar. Limited bar seating. Servers were polite and attentive to needs. I got a beer and some pickle chips. Both were very good. A nice spot for a quick drink in between places or for a long stay. Look forward to trying a full meal.

Who would have thought that the best Chowder on my coast trip was consumed here at a brewery!! Stopped by for a beverage and ended up with food memory! Had everything I look for in a chowder lots of chunks clams and potatoes right vegetables just right cream! Worth the stop a young brewer but nice buildup with great service.

You can either get a physical menu or use a QR code, and you order food at the bar. When it's ready, a server brings it to your table. I wasn't very hungry personally, so I ordered small salad with a chicken breast added on. I got honey mustard dressing with this, and it was delicious! The salad was super fresh as well. I enjoyed it. My daughter ordered the breaded shrimp plate. She said it was awesome and scarfed it down as fast as possible. Hubs ordered the shrimp po-boy, which he said had the same shrimp as the shrimp plate. He wished he had just ordered the shrimp plate, so he would have gotten more shrimp. Next time. Daughter ordered the housemade root beer and said it was great. She is a root beer aficionado. The atmosphere here was casual, but very cute. If I'm ever in Astoria again, I wouldn't hesitate to come to this restaurant.

Could be better: burger was overall disappointing, especially for the price. Dry, small patty, toppings seemed minimal for their burger special. Not the level I'd hope for at a brewery. Good: clam chowder was delicious! I'd come back for the chowder. My friend said the fish tacos were really good as well.

The set up here is quite interesting and comes very close to a one stop shop. It has part convenience store and beer bar all wrapped into one and the tap list of beer is pretty extensive. Lots of local or PNW area beers on tap but they also have some exclusive beers of their own that I almost missed. I was ready to go but Steve pointed this out to me so we got a beer here after all. I liked the tucked away seating and at the time we were there there wasn't anyone else having a beer so the peace and quiet was appreciated. The beer that we had was a lager and it was okay. It was apparently brewed out of Bend, Oregon but I am not sure if another brewery does this for them or not. The flavor highlights with this lager is a breadiness and somewhat of a clean aftertaste. It was fair but it kind of gave me the impression of a big corporate beer as I didn't see much personality to it in the flavor profile. But other than that I did enjoy my first visit to a Growler Guys and as the name implies you can bring in a Growler Bottle and select from the wide list of beers to enjoy.

January sounded like a slower season for them, which showed since we were the only diners that evening. Honestly, it made the experience even more special. The waiter, who was also the bartender, was incredible. Unfortunately, we did not catch his name, but he was working on January 10th and did a fantastic job. He was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely great at what he does. On to the food. We started with the fresh baked bread and Brussels sprouts. I never thought Brussels sprouts could steal the show, but these were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. I ordered the linguine, and my boyfriend had the filet with crab and hollandaise sauce. Both dishes were outstanding and truly next level. The vibe of the restaurant was perfect. Very chic and sophisticated, which felt ideal for celebrating an anniversary. We actually loved that it was quiet because it felt like all the attention was on us. We will definitely be back!

The service was a little awkward and slow. Which was unexpected as fewer than half the tables were occupied. It could be that they were short staffed that day. It was fine as long as you're willing to relax and enjoy the wait. We sat by the windows and had plenty of time to watch the locals and tourists come and go from the market. The place itself is nice. Very clean and even upscale. I'd definetly come back and try more things off the menu. I saw a couple get some excelent looking cokctails and a mimosa flight, which consisted of full size mimosas. :)
