New crew got the job done. It was a very rocky start multiple times returning to fix errors. But in the end it was done right.

Clear Choice Windows & Doors

Our house was built in 1995 and the windows had been replaced once (according to neighbors) but…read morethey were very cheap quality. With the heat we've had the past few summers and then the snow that seems to be a yearly event now, we thought it was time to get a really good widow upgrade. We also wanted out house painted after installation and Clear Choice set that up for us as well. (See my review for Triple A Painting). What we loved most about dealing with Clear Choice Windows & Doors was the personalized service we received. They have a large selection of window frame materials to choose from and our choice of fiberglass was an easy one. It was explained to us that fiberglass windows are stronger than both vinyl and wood, making them incredibly resilient to weather and climate -- perfect for PNW homeowners. From start to finish, our team of window installers provided friendly service, excellent craftsmanship, and it took only two days to install the 10 new windows in our home. Before, during and after, the team cleaned up and kept the work site tidy at all times. There was minimal damage to our landscaping as well. We can feel a definite difference in the inside temperature of our house since the new windows were installed. Our AC doesn't seem to work as hard and it takes less time to cool off in the summer and to heat in the winter. The outside look is classy and fits well with the style of our house and the neighborhood. We highly recommend Clear Choice Windows & Doors if you're looking for new windows.

8/2026 Be very careful with the sales tactics at Clear Choice. The salesman blatantly lied to me…read moremultiple times, claiming that upgrading to a more expensive glass door insert qualified for an Energy Trust of Oregon rebate. After installation, I contacted the Energy Trust of Oregon directly and they confirmed this rebate program ended back in December 2025. When I confronted the salesman, he denied ever telling me about an energy star rebate, despite promising multiple times to help me with the paperwork. Watch out for fake financial incentives used to upsell you." I might add that when I contacted the salesman about his false promise he offered me he said he was going to meet with the owner and said "I'll make things right" he said he would send me an amazon gift card as compensation which never happened.

Back in the spring of 2018, Renewal by Anderson replaced 21-Windows and two sliders in our home …read more 13 of the windows were custom sized. Total cost: $51,000.00. This was a "discounted" price but we've been very happy with them since. I even gave them a 5-star review post installation. The quality of their product and the skill of their crew couldn't have been better. We were told at the time of the sale in January of the same year, "iyou ever need repair, adjustment or replacements of our windows, screens or sliders for as long as we owned our home to just call." We even have that promise in writing. Jump ahead to early this year. We have an issue with the downstairs slider. It has stopped being easy to open so I called RBA to please call me as I explained the problem on their voicemail system. As of this date, I have not received any callbacks. I even tried prompting them with the the possibility of me writing a review/complaint on Yelp and posting it on Facebook. Crickets. Still no call after almost two months. Last year, I told my brother-in-law to use RBA for their new replacement widows which he has since ordered yet to be installed. You would think they would put 1+1 together and give me a call. Nope!

I signed a $29,715 Renewal by Andersen of Oregon contract and cancelled before the follow-up…read moretechnical measurement, financing or any paperwork - just the sales guy after 4 hours. Without even asking if there was anything they could do or ask why I cancelled, they sent me a bill for 15%, which they rapidly sent to collections. (I've NEVER been sent to collections!) The contract states that its late-cancellation fee is intended to offset incurred labor, administrative and material costs. I disputed the charge in writing and requested documentation supporting the costs claimed. I continue to dispute the debt, Anderson would take your first born if it said they could on page 87 after a 4 hour demo on someone else's computer. I am now pursuing the available consumer and regulatory dispute processes, but what a life suck. They know most people will be pushed into fulfilling the contract or just paying them. Such a gross company - I don't care if their windows are made of gold and lollipops. At the end of the day, they'd take my family's money for absolutely no work done and no explanation aside from "gotcha!" It's funny because this was the smaller house - I'd planned to use them for a larger more luxury home that would far exceed the $29K. I posted a video on social that's going viral, but Renewal by Anderson in is legally probably fine to take whatever I signed for, kidney, children - it's a lengthy sales process with, so you'll be so tired you won't even know. I'll dispute the debt, go better business bureau etc - you can have one more shot at making this right. It's $4,451 for wasting my family's, my patients and my own business' time. Don't let them into your home.

They resided my entire house (after another company did an awful job that resulted in water damage) and replaced several windows and installed a cedar soffit. Communication could use improvement, and I would not recommend them to replace any exterior doors (their bid was insanely high). There were a few issues along the way (damaged meter box, dented gutter) that I wish would have been brought to my attention, but everything was addressed and in the end the crew went above and beyond to make me happy. They did an excellent job installing a beautiful cedar soffit, which is now my favorite part of my house.

But I do need to point out some glaring details about this project as a note to myself more than anyone else before hiring this company. I first reached out to them in November last year and Manuel responded back very promptly using the odd messaging system Yelp uses. We traded a few messages, and Justin came out not long after to do a survey on the broken window in the bathroom which looked like it had been hit with a BB or a bullet. He gave me an estimate on replacing that window but pointed out that a lot of my other windows either had a lot of condensation build-up and/or mold beginning to grow out of the dampness. I ended up making the executive call to replace them all. It was a perfectly enjoyable hour or two discussing and then finishing up paperwork. He said he'd be in touch in about 4 - 6 weeks and left. That's where communication on an unprompted basis ended. I waited for almost 2 months before I picked up on the old Yelp thread because no one ever reached out during that period. Manuel told me twice he'd get back to me, but he never did. Someone named Skylar called me and told me Manuel had left on family leave. What kind of professional leaves his customers without notifying them that they are being handed to another representative? Then Skylar handed me off to Luke and despite my request to give me a heads up so I could let my work know if I needed to be home, he never confirmed anything. A third party delivery service showed up while I was sleeping and I had to clear out my garage so they had room. Then half an hour later Alex and his team showed up to start installing. I'm lucky my job was flexible enough to take me not coming in that week, but for other customers, do they have that kind of agility? It took them two days total to do the main job and then finish. After that Alex showed me the work and I signed a paper that he said was more for his team (I do a lot of projects for work and I'm pretty sure they were contractors for ASW). After that Luke said he had to do a walk for job completion that was never followed up on. I called him as promised and he said he'd get back to me, but he didn't. Then came the Docusign asking me to verify the job walk was done. I didn't sign it, thinking he had to do his walk. This was a $20k job. This is the first house I've ever owned. I wanted to be sure. He then said the job walk was done and I signed off on the work which meant the paper I signed with Alex was the final sign off, but he could have just explained this and saved us an email thread. One final laughable detail is his email to me didn't have an attachment, so his marketing team had to send me the photo he referenced to verify I signed. All in all, this whole process left me feeling like I was an inconvenience to them rather than a customer. The plus side: The windows look great. They reduce outside temperature and noise at a noticeable level. But ASW is just the coordinator. Other companies manufacture the windows, deliver them and install them. The one thing they should excel at is communication with the customer, but they decidedly don't.
