Perhaps this job was doomed from the beginning. The original start date was postponed by nearly a year as other home improvements went into September, and Kevin said it was too late to start with the rains coming. When this work was done previously (3 times) the workers told me which boards needed to be replaced, repaired, etc. I always brought the deck up to the best standards. This company did not work that way. To start, Kevin told me I should use a stain rather than clear coat as it would last longer, and it wasn't until after they had done about half of the job, that he pointed out that the stain drips would show between the boards. He also didn't tell me that once I used a stain, I could not use a clear coat ever again! His workers stained everything, boards with large, large splinters extending from them, boards that were partially rotten, and a bannister beam that was seriously wobbling, rotten, and needed replacing. When I asked about repairing the bannister, again, after it had been stained, I was told I should have my handyman do it. The price was over $1000.00 higher than the previous companies, but the reviews were so good, I went with it. This company only did what their name said, RESURFACE For some reason, the nails are all coming up now. As I do not want them to return, I will sink them myself. read more

NW Surface Cleaner power washed our deck, sanded the railing, and stained it. The deck looks great! Kevin applied 3 samples of stain to our deck after it was power washed, and the comparison after a week helped us decide which stain looked best. NW Surface Cleaner power washed our driveway, and cleaned and treated our roof for moss removal. They also cleaned out the gutters. All signs of moss are gone and we are pleased with the results. Wow! Just had our wooden deck refinished, didn't look this good when it was new. I got a bid from NW Surface Cleaner. It was for $800.00 to clean moss off of roof, treat roof so moss wouldn't return for 3 years and clean my gutters. Ed (President) said it would take two men most of the day. There was one man for 2 hours and returned 2 days later for 1 hour. I asked Ed want happen to the 2 men most of the day he would change the subject. When I said you didn't answer my question he changed the subject again. I said I didn't see a bucket to clean gutters he told me they blew the gutters out. I told him I cleaned up all the dead moss on the groud that was removed, but never saw any leaves , pine needles or sticks put in the gutters by the squirrels anywhere in the yard. I guess I will find out when it rains if they are clean or not. I'm in my sixties with R. A. so I can't go on the roof and check the gutters. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND NW SURFACE CLEANER INC. read more
