Their work might have been good, but customer service was unacceptable. Who mocks their customers!? Someone who wants a bad name. They gave no time frame of when they'd be here. We live in a split level, dogs downstairs in backyard. As someone was knocking on the front door, someone else went down in the back and the dogs went crazy. I had No notice or time to get them put away, and once they saw a man at the gate!!! I went up, asked the guy with the beard why they did that,," we didnt know" ? No matter, all other service companies announce arrival before barging in. So ok, forgiven,,,Until,,, the man with the beard stood in front of the ring camera and said " sorry about interrupting ( the female ?) downstairs, but nobody cares". Action Northwest has impressed me many times over, as family members and I have used them several times through the years for a variety of services from roof repair to gutter cleaning and more. The owner, Guy, is truly a stand-up, well "guy"! For example, when my father had them out to assess a leak in his solarium, he had already gotten much higher quotes (2 to 3x the price) from other companies, which is why I suggested he call Action NW. They repaired his issue for a fraction of the cost. Likewise when I inquired about having several services at once, Guy actually suggested I wait on a couple of the services (completing them in a different order than I had planned) to save me some money/having to repeat the service again later. Who does that these days? They are honest, SUPER efficient (can quote most services using Google maps without the need for an appointment). I can't recommend them to you enough! In response to Action Northwest's remarks regarding our review of the pressure cleaning of our patio: When the crew worker showed Jim how much sand he was removing from the patio, Jim advised the crew worker to proceed with caution and not remove any more sand from in between the stones. Well, there must have been a breakdown of communication. It is our understanding that with a little finesse, the cleaning could have continued without removing a great deal of sand. The crew worker apparently was not knowledgeable in the use of the pressure washer even though he continued to finish the job, removing a great deal of the sand. We have since spoken with folks who are knowledgeable in the use of the pressure washed and advised us that removal of the sand never should have happened. Jim and Muriel Goldberg read more

When we bought our house last year, the previous owners had Action Window and Gutter Cleaning clean the clogged and overflowing gutters. They did clean the gutters but they missed doing the downspouts, which caused the gutters to continue to overflow, so we to unclogged them ourselves. Fast forward a year, the gutters are clogged again, we thought we'd give Action another chance. I tried to contact them via email and their web site, but no luck, so I called their office. Ended up talking to them a couple of times and both people I talked to were very very friendly and were able to schedule the gutter/downspout cleaning for the same week. So their crew comes out to do the work. They spent a fair amount of time swearing quite loudly, which in my mind is unprofessional. They also used our hose and left it scattered around, and left the back gate open, fortunately the dog didn't escape. I don't know if they actually cleaned the gutters and downspouts, it's raining this weekend so I'll find out soon enough. If they didn't, they won't get paid. I won't be using them again. read more

We used this company for the first time today to have our windows washed and our roof cleaned. From inside the house we could hear some type of power tool being used on the roof, went outside to look and saw that they were drilling holes into our roof! We asked them to stop and called the office for clarification. We were told that regulations require them to install a temporary roof anchor. Safety concerns are reasonable, however, why was I not told that they would be compromising my roof by drilling holes in it?? Now they tell us that they will be repairing the holes by using caulking!!! Caulking is a temporary material and not an appropriate patch for a roof. So now we have nice clean windows but brand new damage to our house that we did not have before and will now have to deal with. If we had known they would be drilling holes in our roof we would definitely not have used them for this job. We have had workers on the roof MANY times in the past and have never ever had anyone drill holes into it. I certainly would never expect to have something like that happen without them first asking us for our permission and explaining to us what they were planning to do. Simple communication. I would rather have permanent, professionally installed, roof anchors placed ONCE, rather than temporary ones that are removed, "repaired" with caulk, and installed again each time, creating more holes! The owner did call us to listen to our concerns and feedback, and was very nice, which we appreciated. The crew was friendly and polite, did a very good job cleaning the gutters and windows, and a thorough job cleaning up after themselves as well. Overall, though, I don't think we will use this company again. read more

I set up an appointment for an estimate after getting ANW's name from a friend and seeing their high reviews. There was a no-show at the appointed time. I contacted the office 30 minutes in and was told sorry, there was a mixup but the representative would be there within the hour. I waited and waited, saw no one. Several days later I relayed this and was told the technician had actually come and gotten the information needed for an estimate. An estimate would be coming soon. No estimate was received. I emailed after about a week relaying my this fact and saying I was no longer interested. I received an apology and offer to send estimate if I changed my mind. Other companies I had contacted were amazingly swift with visits and estimates. Just saying. read more

Although I've used them multiple times in the past, I strongly feel they deserve an updated review due to services recently-rendered on our new house. Our new house is 3 times the size of prior residences, has multiple floors, and half the roof is inaccessible/treacherous due to solar panels and a high pitch. Not only did they do a fantastic job, their professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail continues to impress. Upon scheduling, I received a detailed quote itemizing the work to be performed, estimated cost, and expected completion time. My gutters were cleaned, gutter faces power-washed, and downspouts cleared. They even emailed a final statement that included numerous before/after photos, which is more transparent than most banks/brokerage firms these days. I highly recommend them as they're properly licensed, bonded and insured which is vital considering the potential liability a homeowners could incur hiring low-cost providers such as the kid next door. This company was hired by my apt complex to pressure wash all the buildings and sidewalks within the complex. As it sometimes goes, accidents happen.. my 'new' car somehow got mixed up in the 'Action', (pardon the pun!) and was damaged by the rocks and mud kicked up by their equipment during the process. I contacted the office and spoke with Kate about the damage. She was a pillar of professionalism!! She relayed the facts of the incident to the owner Guy, who came out the next day to view the damage and he agreed to pay for an auto detail shop to buff out the scratches. I took the car to the detail shop, the scratches were buffed out and my car is as good as new!! I couldn't be happier! I had Action clean my gutters in May of 2015 for $220. It didn't rain much after that for a few months. Around Sept, there was a good rain and a gutter was over flowing. This gutter was in a location that I could reach with a ladder so I took a look. The gutter was clean but the down spout was not so I cleaned it out myself and no more over flowing. Now it's December and there has been a few good rains. Another gutter has been overflowing since the heavy rains started. I was able to take a look in the gutter over the weekend and it is clean but the down spout is not. It is located in a spot that I'm not comfortable accessing. The down spout is clogged though since you can see very little water flow with an over flowing gutter. So I just called Action and was told that it will be a $150 service call to take a look. I mentioned that it's been clogged since they clean the gutters in May. I was then told that they disagreed since I had not already reported it. Bottom line, if you use these people to clean your gutters, don't do it in early summer with no rain forecasted. Also, you should be there supervising them. I was at work trusting that the work would be completed as advertised. It was not. read more

They were able to develop an estimate over the phone (this was a first for me), stayed in good email / phone communication, made the changes I requested, and did a quality job. They were able to schedule the work weeks ahead of the original estimated time. They arrived on time, did a quality job, and seemed to be very concerned about my view of the work. In addition to the roof blow off and gutter cleaning, these guys delivered new downspouts and leaf trap clean outs that I had been wanting for years. Well, we thought we were getting good work done until we had the company that originally hung our continuous gutters come back, only to find out Action NW reattached a stretch driving in the nails in a way in which water would eventually get in and rot the wood. And, according to the original company, the gutters weren't cleaned well. On a side note, one of the workers accidentally dropped a tool onto our glass-top patio table and broke it into a million pieces. That was successfully dealt with. We wouldn't call Action Northwest back. read more
