Wide array of flavor options. The lavender latte was fantastic! Tasted better than my big city latte, bravo. My boys got cinnamon rolls and devoured them. Get this place on the map!!!

We stopped by after visiting the Superman store. We got a coffee and a pear chai tea. The tea was so good! My picky 10 year old even liked it. Would recommend. They had some other fun sounding lattes.

Iced sugar cookie. So soft!

Super-excited about these Super-awesome goodies from @sissys_asweetshoppe in the Super town of Metropolis, Illinois! I know, I know, that was Super-terrible, but my goodies were Super-fantastic! Ok, I'm done being Super. Blueberry pastry, good old sugar cookie with icing, and a strawberry lemonade cookie. Yuuuummm!! All excellent, but I think the sugar cookie was my favorite. Sissy's has more than just mentally nourishing food sweets!), there is physically nourishing sandwiches and salads, too, along with coffee, but I was just interested in the baked items. Park by the Superman statue and you can walk a few blocks down Main Street to Sissy's, taking in other cool stuff in Metropolis before (or after) you get your sugar fix or other needs met.

This place rocks! It's accidental that we ended up in Metropolis and looking for a restaurant for breakfast and stumbled upon it. Their sweets are amazing, have not had like it before. I had almond croissant and wifey had walnut danish. We had to buy more to take home with us. Their coffees are better than Starbucks, at least the one we order regularly. This girl Brianna bakes them daily. We think she should supply coffee shops with it. If you are in the area, give it a try! No regrets here. Happy Eating!

I was working in Paducah, KY for the week but wanted to make a trip to Illinois for breakfast since I've never been to the state. Stopped at this place and it was so cute! Nicely decorated, really really nice employees, and the cutest desserts. I got the cinnamon bun and it was tasty and simple warmed up. Also picked up some peanut butter fudge for my coworker (and he loved it!) I recommend stopping by here if you make the trip to Metropolis because you're a block from Superman and can take a picture with this cute mural on the side of the wall! Great place! A block-ish from Superman. So unexpectedly quaint on the Metropolis downtown strip. Got a drip coffee which wasn't as hot as I like and the woman working made me a new pot without hesitation when I mentioned it. Appreciate that. Unfortunately, I'm rarely in the area, but if I needed a decent cup of coffee, a place to meet a friend, or a pleasant environment to sit with my laptop and work (free WiFi) I'd be at Sissy's.

Such a cozy coffee shop & bakery. Lunch options also available. Their homemade soup is delicious. Love the gooey butter bars too!

Spectacular sweets and great coffee. I've had some of the best breakfast pastries ever at Sissy's.

Menu at first was a little daunting because it felt more like an alacart style. Food is fresh and hot. Service was friendly and accommodating. The collection of random coffee cups was the main selling point for us, and would strongly recommend if you're in the area to stop and try it. Very underrated and undiscovered place.

Almost every breakfast item on the menu Said served with biscuit and gravy or toast. Before the waitress took our order, she informed us they had no more biscuits and gravy. Almost every choice on the menu was served with gravy and biscuit or toast. We ordered two sausage egg sandwiches;one wheat one white. we only got wheat bread.Over medium eggs, one with hashbrowns one with American fries.. The sausage on the sandwiches was falling apart one sandwich add one egg the other one had two pieces. One order the food was cooked just as ordered. The other two were not cooked to request.. the eggs were not cooked and runny That person could not eat the eggs. We asked for three orders of wheat toast and two white. everyone got wheat bread. If the waitress would've smiled or at least been cordial, it might've been a better experience. Couldn't get a smile out of her for nothing. My water. A slight brown color that wasn't noticed until after I drank almost the whole glass. I guess for five of us to eat it was only $47. Very cheap service terrible cleanliness I give it a two. Overall experience 1.1.
