I love this place. I have a couple seats out side on the sidewalk. You walk in and it opens up to huge beautiful area. There's a upstairs and downstairs is decorated very nice. They have copies Keys pastries vegan options. The staff is extremely family. They have daily specials. The prices are very the reasonable. It has a very country homey feel to it. I would rate the ambiance at a 4, but the coffee at a 3. I've tried the regular coffee, americano, iced coffees and cappuccinos...and they've each been a bit lackluster. The coffee is also overpriced in my opinion for nothing special. I'll come here only to read, write, or have a cup with a friend simply because you can only get one hour of free spotty wifi. So you may ask, why do I keep coming back? This place is adorable and it's rare to find a coffee shop that you can work from in Pedro. read more

BEAUTIFUL and serene coffee shop in the heart of San Pedro. Amazing atmosphere drinks and food (even though the selection is slim). The ham egg and cheese croissant is wonderful and all the teas are robust. As far as coffee goes, I have yet to explore any of their signatures. The only coffee shop on the block (for now). The drinks are yummy, nice variety of lattes, service is always friendly and the place is clean. I'll do the mermaid latte which is pretty yummy, it's not overly sweetened. They no longer have nitro coffee which is a bummer, and they don't serve cortados or Gibraltar's which is my usual go-to drink. Plenty of street parking. read more

I wanted to love this place, it's got a great atmosphere and I would love to linger here-I'll probably come back sometime with a good book or some friends to sit for a spell. But a place with "tea" in its name should have a better range of choices than just a half-dozen or so teabags from a single brand. I was hoping for a decaffeinated black tea but had to settle for herbal. I was also disappointed that I asked the guy behind the counter what a certain pastry was, and he replied that it was a fudgy brownie, so I bought one (just one luckily, though he tried to upsell me 2) and it turned out actually to be chocolate cheesecake, which I don't like. Again, might have been fine if I'd eaten in, I'm sure they would have made it right, but I won't come again for take-out. read more

As a nonlocal yelper, I was eager to try this place because of all the reviews. First, the coffee was ok. Nothing special but not bad. I just felt like it should be better considering the price. Even my mother in law didn't really care for her decaf. My carrot cake, crescent, and my hubby's cookie were alright. The cinnamon roll was good, according to my brother in law. Nothing too great. Customer service was great! We had a semi big order and everything was !! As for the set up and lay out, really nice. I liked the décor and colors. Super relaxed like a coffee house should be. Friendly staff, nice ambiance you want from a cafe, and good iced mocha. On a Saturday morning, it wasn't too busy and was able to snag a booth with the husband. just quite literally had the worst experience ever. Walked into this cafe hoping for much better, I'm going to start off with the manager ABBY. My friend & I walked into the building, to where my friend asked if she may use the restroom. The male worker replied yes. Although Abby wasnt to happy with the response, she gave a rude glance and continued doing what she was doing. While my friend was in the restroom, I decided since the manager seemed upset, that I would purchase something to make up for my friend just using the bathroom. I went ahead and purchased a "yogurt parfait" that had strawberries and blueberries that came also with granola on the side, it was labeled as YOGURT PARFAIT nothing special or anything different stated on it. Cost $4.85, and was served to me efficiently. stepped out of the building to wait for my friend, and decided to try the parfait. Upon opening the item, and taking a small spoon sample-- my taste buds were astonished. This was not normal yogurt, but SOUR almost like it's expired. To me it was like Greek yogurt, or anything other than regular yogurt. I decided to let the cafe know, and see if I may exchange for a different item or get a refund. Entering the building again, I let Abby know my issue and apologized profusely for the misunderstanding. She was not having it, she said "welll.... you already bit it soooo..." And I let her know again that the yogurt was sour and not regular yogurt. Abby continued to sound robotic and repetitive, I then asked if I would atleast be able to exchange it since I did not fully even take a bite I just tasted it briefly and gagged. She said no very quickly, so once I explained to her yet again what kind of yogurt it tasted like she proceeded to walk to the back without saying anything and brings out the bottle of yogurt.. to not only prove my point but to show me what type of yogurt. This wasn't regular yogurt, she showed me the bottle that stated it was DAHI YOGURT. If you look up DAHI yogurt which she probably should have before coming out to the front with it, it states it is INDIAN INSPIRED VEGAN & GRASS FED YOGURT. I ended with asking her again, if I would be able to get a refund since it was not tasteful let alone pleasant. Needless to say I left the building with no refund, no item in exchange just her talking about me to and to me while I left. really didn't expect this to be a big issue, you would assume a small shop would like all their customers to be happy, and think of them highly. Overall, if you come here make sure you know what kind of brand/ingredients it is in your food, cause if you don't like it--you either eat it forcefully not wanting to waste money spent or throw it away. DO NOT COME HERE DO NOT COME HERE can't believe the energy of the manager, absolutely rude and not understanding. read more

Misleading menu. I ordered a smoothie, which, naturally, one would think would be made with fresh fruits NOT purée or whatever ingredients they used. I expressed my dissatisfaction, but unfortunately, owner did not want to replace my drink but was offered a discount for a new drink. I turned down the discount. Sirens has a great vibe, wonderful teas and coffees, tasty food options - with vegan options too, woohoo! Staff is super friendly and accommodating - just overall one of the best coffee shops I've been to, and I've been to a TON all over the world. They could use more outlets for plugging in computers, but other than that they are fantastic. They recently closed down to move just up the street to a new location - excited for them to re-open very soon (I heard Feb 2019)! read more

This is a really comfortable space to spend time in and read, work, etc. tall ceilings, couches, table seating. It's also near some other galleries and shops which makes it a nice contribution to the neighborhood. The barista who served my coffee was pleasant. I order a black coffee house blend. It had a mocha flavor to it which I strongly dislike. I also wanted to get a pastry but virtually everything was $5. That's way to over priced for most of what they offered, which is to say basic croissants, scones, and breads. Not sure I'd go back unless I lived in San Pedro. read more

Not impressed overall, but did have some pluses. It is a historic and restored building. They had the history of the building and local people on the walls. I read all of the posted articles on the walls while I waited (in vein) for someone to unlock the bathroom door. Lovely buildings in the area. Very close to the ship terminals so it is convenient to travelers. They were out of too many things. I know staffing and supply chains are tough, but this seemed beyond those issues. The staff were obviously not very happy to be working. I don't think I heard them greet or say thank you to a single customer. Obviously, they have a local following, one kind person told me how to get their attention for some help. It didn't work -but he tried! And I appreciated that! Coffee is pretty good. I didn't try a specialty coffee or tea. I just had drip coffee. It was smooth and flavorful. I think I'll look for a different coffee place next time. One where the staff seems to enjoy their jobs and their customers. I want to be in a happy place when I am lucky enough to enjoy a specialty coffee spot. read more

OMG, how cute is this place?! It was seriously such a find. If I lived in LBC still, I would schlep all the way here to work. It is spacious, well-decorated, clean and has good vibes! Plus, they have a great selection of tea. My big pet peeve with coffee shops is when they charge $3 for tea and it's some sub par brand like Stash or Bigelow (blech). Not here! Sirens stocks Art of Tea brand tea which is one of my favorites because they're loose leaf and have a more vibrant flavor. I didn't hang out long since we were just passing through but I will definitely be back! Also, their bathrooms were cute and clean. Seriously, it is so nice to go to a coffee shop with a clean bathroom. They seemed to have a great selection of baked goods, the staff was lovely and overall - this place was amazing. I've been coming to Sirens since it opened. What should you expect when entering? Everything that every other reviewer has posted, except that the customer service has taken quite the nose dive. The tiny girl behind the counter is the worst, she literally is baiting her own demise. The only explanation why she is still there with such an bad attitude is that she is the owners daughter. And the owner... I don't know if someone shot her dog, or stole her identity, or what-- but this lady is depressed every time I come in now, and it's effecting her employees obviously I know its hard to run a business, especially it's first year, but the employee attitude problem is the first seed in a failing business. read more

I feel like I've been 5 Star Happy recently, but over the past two weeks since I first tried Sirens, I've been there 6 times and dragged 3 coworkers on separate occasions here with me. So, yeah, I like it. A lot. And the 5 stars are well deserved. The space is so welcoming and makes me not want to leave. I would even hold my book club meetings here if I could convince my Valley peeps to take the trek to Pedro (but I know that's in my dreams). Seriously though, this place is such a joy. You got coffee, you got eats, you got cozy corners and smiling faces. It really is good stuff. I can't wait to see what they grow into, because they are indeed still in the settling-in phase, but Siren's is something that San Pedro has needed for a very long time. Very nice space in a tough San Pedro market. My mocha was great. Very clean with lots of room to work/meet/relax. Free WiFi and street parking is easy. Friendly staff. A few suggestions if anyone associated with the business sees this: Coffee prices are a little high. Sales tax should not be charged on to go drinks (check with your CPA). Menu is unclear on drink sizes, and the drink choices are fairly limited. WiFi log-in is confusing but works great once logged in. Register/staff should be closer to the front door - looks like no one working at first glance. read more

I like their drinks and breakfast there! The staff is friendly, the place is very nice and clean. The only thing that kinda bothers me, they are always running out of stuff. I go there all the time and it's been like 3 times they have no kombucha. Either they ran out or didn't make it. Also they have stuff written down on their menu that are not available. So Siren's is my new favorite coffee house. Immediately walking in, the interior is well thought out and the atmosphere is calming. Everyday they have fresh baked goods that you can have warned or cold and they're absolutely delicious. They also give you the option to order thinks 'for here' or 'to go'. And the baristas make great coffee! They have some pretty cool espresso machines and their cappuccino foam is on fleek! I work at Starbucks and I'd choose Siren's over the overpriced cheap espresso we sell at Starbucks any day. They have great food, great coffee, and I look forward to the business doing well. We need a great coffee shop in San Pedro and Siren's is my choice. read more
