I can't believe I haven't been there all of these years!!! We were shopping close to this restaurant and we decided that we would like to have fish and chips! The atmosphere and interior design was perfect and cozy! The customer service was awesome and the waitress was very kind, friendly and helpful! The quality of the food was great and the portions were perfect! I enjoyed my first visit a lot and I'll definitely go back there again! If you crave fish and chips, I highly recommend this place!

What a delicious spread. The dinner was a little bit on the expensive side, but the food was absolutely amazing. We had the cod and chips.

The food, the service and the ambience were outstanding. The portion sizes were very large. It was exactly what I was hoping for for a really good fish and chip dinner.

One piece of haddock and chips.

I tried Sir Winston's Fish & Chips from their food truck at an event, and was impressed by the portion size and quality. The piece of haddock was huge, lightly battered to perfection, accompanied by a mountain of fries. I wish they had some fresh tartar sauce on the side, rather than those packets that taste mostly of vinegar, and it is a bit pricey - but you get what you pay for.

Easy to find via Google Maps. Lots of parking in the parking lot but this place is Busy! 90% full when we got here at 5:30PM and stayed that way until we left at 6:30PM. Staff were friendly but never came back to refill my water. I tried the 1 piece Halibut with chips. My friend tried the 2 piece cod full meal deal (full meal deal = non-stop pop and a side of coleslaw for an additional $3). I was worried 1 piece wouldn't be enough but the Halibut was quite large and definitely enough. The cod is a Lot smaller and 2 pieces was appropriate for 1 person in that case. Halibut was a lot thicker and more fish to batter ratio. Very moist and great batter. Quite pricey. Cod was thinner and longer and more batter per bite. Coleslaw was worth the additional price. Not too rich, crisp cabbage, I really liked it. To me honestly the cod and halibut tasted the same but I liked the fish to batter ratio of the cod better and that you get 2 really big looking pieces. Fries were fresh and well cooked. Could have used more salt in my opinion but there was salt on the table to add. Overall great fish and chips place I would highly recommend. P.S. 10% off the meal deal if you check-in with Yelp!

Halibut and fries take-out from Sherwood Park location.

Halibut and fries take-out from Sherwood Park location. Absolutely gross!! I don't believe they served halibut because I've eaten halibut many times and the texture was like crab flakes. I could handle the texture but the taste almost made me hurl. I won't be back. FYI, they also charge $1.95 +GST for the thin plastic bag in which they pack their rotten food.

Okay so I came across this place through TripAdvisor. The photos we had seen of the sizes of a piece of fish looked like a joke. A piece prettt much as big as the plate just didn't seem real. In walking into this place I have never actually been to a fish and chips place in Europe. I imagine it may look something like this or be as homey as this one is. Wonderful colors on the wall and art all around. Loved to look around and see all the random things around. We stopped in tonight to check it out and try this big fish and chips. We started with some calamari and mozzarella sticks. Now mozzarella sticks are pretty safe bet, these ones had a really crisp putter that was nice. On the calamari it was so damn tasty that we did not even need to really use the sauce, yes the sauce is good but stand alone it's delicious! Not over cooked and easy to chew and they actually give a lemon slice! A big slice of one as well ensuring you can cover your calamari, very nice! Our fish and chips came out and no joke, it's damn near as big as the plate. We got one piece and chips each and got damn! That was overly filling but filling as in able to eat it all! The batter wa snot stupidly filling right off the bat nor was there an air pocket or over coating of batter. Again they give a massive slice of lemon to coat your fish in and changes the color of the batter as it soaked up that juice Making a crisp bottommbatter and a soft top batter that just need a little tartar sauce (again, do not need the tar tar sauce but it's a good addition). So eating and enjoying it all was delightful! The coleslaw had the addition of dill to it, totally make it a better taste then the usual that is all around. All done by a server working the floor herself and absolutely nailing it! Didn't slip up our order and we did not have to wait to get our food or a revisit. We will be stopping in and I recommend stopping in to anyone who likes true fish and chips To sum it up, I will say this is maybe the best relish and chips in Edmonton. The environment alone is reason enough to stop in.

I love everything about this restaurant...friendly atmosphere, family friendly, reminds me of a British Pub, great beer selection, live music, and amazing food with friendly owners. We started with deep fried scallops and veggie spring rolls. Both came out hot and tasty and paired well with our beers. The batter on the scallops was particularly good. We also each chose the one piece haddock with fries. Again, great batter, generous piece of fish that was tender and hot. I also was suggested by the owner to try the curry sauce which I will totally now order every time we go there. The owner gave us a tour and was very hospitable and treated our children like actual customers and not a nuisance. This was very appreciated by our family. This will be our to go place for Fish and Chips!

Fried goodness! We had oysters, clam strips, halibut and haddock! It was all fried to perfection. Golden and crispy. The fish (both halibut and haddock) was on the dry side, but the size and batter definitely more than made up for it. We ordered it for pickup and it was ready when they said it would be. Definitely a place that will fill your cravings and a must try!

The menu had a wide variety of burgers. I got the swiss and mushroom burger on a lettuce bun, with a side salad (extra $2.99) and the usual salad dressings to choose from. The portion size of the salad was good. The burger was a good size and I appreciated the lettuce bun, but the meat didn't have too much taste, and there weren't a lot of mushrooms. Since it was a lettuce bun, they could have given fewer mushrooms as it would have been messy to eat. It wasn't a terrible burger, but it was only ok. I tried one of the thick cut fries, but it needed ketchup as didn't have much taste. The service was friendly and attentive. If I'm in the area, I would give this place another try.

Food options included were sourdough pancake, sourdough pancake with blueberries, sourdough French Toast, scrambled eggs, Fruit Cobbler, Sweet n' sour pork, Potato pancakes, Smashed baby potatoes, bacon, sausage, fresh assorted fruit in fruit bowl (all mixed and diced - watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, few blueberries, melons, apple), and freshly carved ham. Also they make omelettes fresh/on-demand. sourdough pancake with blueberries - made fresh on a griddle right behind the counter, no sour taste which I was happy about. sourdough French Toast -no sour taste which I was happy about, really nice bread used. scrambled eggs - a little rubbery for me Fruit Cobbler - some of it was too soggy for me (I don't like that the bread was soggy where it touched/sat in fruit juice). Sweet n' sour pork - nice light flavor, not too tangy. Potato pancakes - a little bland for me Smashed baby potatoes - really well done, loved the crispy bits. bacon - unlimited bacon! but there is a lady who doles it out but she was happy to give by 3 slices 3 different times. Sausage - BEST breakfast sausage I have ever had. Not fatty or greasy. Super nice flavor. Assorted fruit in fruit bowl - Was easy to pick out the fruit you wanted as long as you don't hold up the line. All cut up already into bite-sized pieces. freshly carved ham - really nice, not too salty, not dry. Omelettes fresh/on-demand - my aunt was really happy with hers. Overall 100% would recommend if you don't mind finding your own table, getting your own food, and doing a little waiting in line (there was aways a small line to move though the food). Kids 5 and under eat for free. Ages 6-12 cost $12.95. Ages 12-17 cost $19.95. Adults are $34.95. We came in through the Sawmill doors but noticed that half of the place has been changed and is called: The Mill | Craft Bar + Kitchen. It seems all blended together but we did end up being seated more on The Mill side; so I'm not sure if access to the brunch mattered with which side of the restaurant you sat on but it didn't seem so to me. The website really isn't clear or easy to navigate and nowhere on either website can I easily find information about the price of the brunch. When we did arrive the brunch was the only thing they were offering us so it made our choice very simple, but I'm not sure if it was because we came during brunch time so the main menu wasn't available? Seemed kind of strange. I enjoyed the huge breakfast/lunch selection of foods. We saw: egg benedict, sausage, bacon, waffles, fish, ribs, prime rib, salad bar, potatoes, yogurt. I especially loved the fresh fruit next to the chocolate fountain. There was a table of desserts: plenty of cheesecakes and small cake options. Our server and the servers in general were all friendly and engaged with us even if we weren't at the table. Not hesitating to listen and bring us water, our plates always being cleared quickly. The brunch was quite popular and so both sides of the restaurant were very full when we initially arrived around 11/1130am but luckily our group of 7 were still able to get in and get seated. Overall I could see us coming here again to enjoy the brunch.
