Overall a great print shop. Friendly staff, fair prices and quick turnaround times. I follow up on an email request or request sent in via their website with a phone call if I haven't heard back within an hour or so. I also call before I head over to make sure my job is ready. I've used this place for a plethora of print jobs and most have turned out perfect. The only slightly negative experience is that 1 job got printed and cut larger than I requested, even though I specified the size in the email request. I ended up trimming 1/2" off every side and coming almost too close to the type. I would have had them correct the job, but didn't realized they were the wrong size until 3 days later when I got the envelopes in. By then it was the weekend and I needed the invites to go out on Monday morning. This is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. read more

Sir Speedy is the place for printing. I inherited using then when I started my job two years ago. They made my transition to a new job so easy and smooth because we had so many print jobs (that for lack of knowing about) were often last minute and Sir Speedy always made sure they were done and on time. One time I was actually waiting for jury duty at the court house and stressed because I was away from the office and they were calling and emailing me to keep everything going while I was out of the office. To say that my experience with Sir Speedy was a let down would be an understatement. To say that the name Sir Speedy is ironic would be an even bigger understatement. I've never felt as if Yelp needed a 0 star option until I sat down to write this review. I worked with George whose customer service skills are about as solid as the cab drivers in Chicago. We were getting envelopes printed for our wedding invites and needed the job done quickly. After having our envelopes for over a week (during which time George lied to my fiance on a daily basis telling her that they would be ready tomorrow) he contacted us to tell us that the document we sent him was formatted incorrectly. I then had to spend around 4-5 hrs reformatting the document and didn't get our envelopes back until 4 days later. I wrote to George and told him that we were disappointed in the service that we were receiving and never got a response. Any time I got him on the phone he gave me one word answers and made no attempt to resolve our issues blaming everything on a 3rd party service that does their printing for them. Eventually I told him that I refuse to pay full price and he caved. Do not go to this place if u can avoid it. read more

I want to like them, I really do. They did a great job printing some invitations for me, BUT that was after hounding them for updates every single day when they said they would be done tomorrow. Apparently tomorrow means a week to them and they don't know how to inform people of that. However when I asked if their cutting machine was accurate, he mockingly laughed at me and told me it was "VERY accurate". However when I received my invitations, many of them were not cut correctly and I had to buy more paper to have it corrected. Printing service is great. The gentleman offered me offered me options on paper stock, pulled them from the email that I uploaded my image from and they were done within 20 minutes on card stock. I have never been treated so terribly by a person that was supposed to be providing a service to me. I was lied to multiple times. We had dropped off paper to have wedding invitations printed on. After 1 week I called to see when I could pick them up, only to be told he hadn't started anything. He told us the size was wrong for our rsvp cards and he had supposedly been trying to contact our designer. This" designer" was a friend of a friend of mine and I didn't even have her contact info. I have used them for several different printing jobs- the first time was for all my printed items for my wedding including- invitations, place cards, menu cards, thank you cards, tent cards- EVERYTHING! George was not only fair and fast but he gave me the direction I needed to ensure everything would be perfect! Called Sir Speedy to get a quote on printing 5x7 black and white glossy flyers. Liked the cost, so I emailed them the info and stated again in my email I wanted the flyers to be on glossy paper. Well, when I arrived my flyers were on regular copy paper. I told him I specifically said GLOSSY on the phone and in my email. He then goes to the back of the shop and I am literally waiting for about 10 minutes waiting for him to return to tell me what is going on or how long this is going to take. Well, eventually someone came out, so I asked him how much longer will I have to wait as I was in a hurry. He tells me a couple more minutes. The guy then comes out with my flyers and then informs me it will cost me an extra $5 since it is on glossy paper! You would think he would have least not have charged me the extra $5 considering they screwed up my order and I had to wait 10 minutes. Wow...this place is wonderful! I am getting married this summer and needed customized printing done for my DIY invitations...ASAP. I also needed customized ink color. This place offered both at a fraction of the price of other printing places, including Kinko's. They will basically print on any type of paper stock without giving you a hard time and will complete small or large jobs. Most places I called wouldn't give me the time of day and said my paper wasn't "printable." I came here for all my printing wedding needs: wedding invitations, rehearsal dinner invitations, menus and programs. They are all done within 24-48 hours and look WONDERFUL!!! So professional. When I first walked in, I was a little apprehensive because the place is a little shop with papers and xerox machines all over the front room. DON'T BE SCARED!!! It doesn't look like much but they really gets the job done. They also can do customized cutting jobs for you as well as printing, which is great. They really know what they are doing!!!
