Unfortunately I quickly realized the salesperson misrepresented himself and instead of being sent an ad contract I was contacted by a woman from The Facts Media who asked to record the conversation and tried to quickly confirm contract terms orally and get my credit card information. When I told the woman I would not enter into an oral contract and instead wanted to see a contract for review she assented. Instead of the promised contract I received an email memorandum of understanding that I contracted to their terms via an oral agreement - no signature needed. The owner responded to my email rejecting their correspondence. She was very pleasant in her email and asked to be given time to evidence they are a reputable company... which they may very well be. However, they are too fast and loose for my taste and the fact that they even do the recorded agreement is bizarro world for me. It's not uncommon for a sales rep to get a little stretchy with his promises which is why it is important to have a contract to review before entering into the agreement. At best The Facts Media is setting themselves up for miscommunication and disappointed clientele, at worse they are operating outside the lines of fair dealing.

They are not clear about prcing and what is included. All information changes all the time just to get you screwed up. We signed a contract that plain and clear says that we would get Sep and Oct 2010 mailing to 2 zones at $1200 each mailing total of $2400.00 for 2 zones 2 months.After the first month we received anothe invoice of $2400.00!!! When I called Pete at accounting he says he knows nothing-talk to Nick (the crooked guy behind the operation who signed the contract). We were trying to get hold of Nick for several days, he was obviously avoiding us, leaving us messages PAST our business hours that we gave and not even trying to call my cell. Finally, he did. How it turned out that EACH zone s $1200 and it cost $2400.00 PER MONTH FOR TWO ZONES ( Total of $4800 for two months!!!!) to advertise with them. There is no informaion about that on the contract. I refused to that. Nick said that it is important to him that our business gets return on investment and he will come to our office to resolve this situation before October mailing goes out. No show , no call. Finally towards the end of the day I asked my assistant to call him ( did not want to deal with him personally): Nick said that there will be no October mailing, unless we pay $2400. BS! This guy is out there to get quick money and will try to scam you-ROI is very poor. From supposedly 40,000 (which I doubt they mailed that many) we got 4 phone calls from prospective clients and had only 2 appointments. That cost $2400! On the other hand we keep getting annoying calls from other advertsing agencies who "got RSVP card"-so I do not know if our info was sold to them, or if RSVP sending cards to physical adress vs. residential only. He has always been very accommodating with me and clearly gives me my options right off the bat. He maintains great communication with me as well, letting me know when my orders have gone into production, when they're going to ship, et cetera. When I have questions regarding the printing process, he's always ready to provide answers. Absolutely love working with this printer and haven't found anyone else like him.
