My favorite coffee shop!! So happy my favorite drink still tastes the same after all these years and the vibes are as immaculate as ever!!

Half of the chai latte before it made my stomach hurt from the sweetness and lack of chai

We pass this place once or twice a week and wanted to give it a shop because I liked the vibes. Can't attest to the coffee quality but ordered a chai latte and got way more latte than chai. It was more of a chai flavored milk.

There was a long wait at the breakfast place down the street, so we opted to stop by Sips and try it out in the interim. Needless to say, it was a great idea! My first impression wasn't the best. The Sips interior is a refurbished... something. I couldn't quite make out what the shop used to be, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the interior (an assessment which encompassed their wall art and seating placements, which I still maintain aren't great). Discounting the odd interior, however, the place was a joy. Our barista truly made the experience. I asked about the cubano and she immediately launched into a spiel about what's in it, how it's made, and its history (concluding that her favorite drink was the similarily made cortadito). Either she was a coffee nerd or Sips trains their employees spectacularly; probably a mix of the two. Upon getting our drinks we went to sit next to the fireplace in the little parlor area. The interior began to grow on me, and I came to the (belated) conclusion that I did, indeed, enjoy Sips. Would highly recommend. Oh, and maybe try their cortadito.

I had an early appointment at Piedmont cardiology this morning. Since I am definitely not a morning person I felt like a cup of good coffee would be a great idea. There's a little coffee shop right across from the hospital, so I decided to drop in there and give them a try. The young man working the counter was very helpful discussing the menu. I don't know much about different kinds of coffees so I always have to ask about them before I order. I opted for a medium latte with sugar-free vanilla syrup. I was glad they had the sugar-free vanilla as many coffee shops that I've gone to were always out of it. I guess it's a popular flavor. Sips had quite a few in-house baked sweets. There were so many yummy looking options; it was hard to choose. The young man recommended the zucchini bread; said it was probably the most popular thing they offered. I ended up buying myself a lemon blackberry scone to have with my coffee plus a fat slice of zucchini bread and an apple scone to take home. Sips has a covered patio out front and another patio on the side. They don't really have indoor seating although the covered patio out front could be enclosed in the winter for a seating area. I sat outside and enjoyed the morning sun with my scone and my coffee. The coffee was delicious and the scone was wonderful. I don't get out this way all that often, but when I do, I'm going to stop at Sips again. They have good stuff.

If I could give 100 stars I would ! I LOVE SIPS !! The service is always wonderful and they never fail to make a good coffee . Every single time I come here my drink is always amazing no matter what I order. I love their seasonal drink menus that they come up with and the names are hilarious plus it kind of gives me the chance to get out of my regular coffee order and try something new . I always recommend this place over and local shop in Athens because they are so consistently good and consistently kind

Favorite cafe location is good, drinks are always delicious, staff is kind Highly recommend hanging out here or studying

I think Sips is awesome. When I go there I always get an everything bagel with cream cheese (along with something on the menu that is coffee related). Their bagels are awesome. Very fresh tasting and good quality for the money. I have had a couple of different coffee drinks from here and enjoyed both of them. I will say, I tried one of their smoothies and was not a fan. It tasted very pre-packaged and sugary. After that I decided to stick with coffee and bagels from here. Service is always fairly quick. Friendly staff and I love the walk up window to order.

The honey lavender latte is out of this world! Not too sweet and the lavender flavor is perfectly subtle. Highly recommend.

I don't plan on going back only because SIPS sells Jittery Joe's coffee and if I want that I can just go to either of the Jittery Joe's which are closer to were I live.

While it was good, nothing was truly hot. Both the CFS and MPs were warm, with the gravy being barely as warm. Though, the BePs, were warmest. However, I found, the CFS to be on the dry side. While the Cornbread was firm, it was good. Unfortunately, they charged me for 3 sides, instead of just 2. So, because of this, I didn't give a voluntary tip. Fortunately, Chris had gotten some Kenyan Hot Sauce, which I tried on the CFS. And, it really helped with the taste. Sadly, they only 1, 10 oz bottle, which I let them have. And, I bought a 5 oz bottle. The HS has a unique texture, but isn't "hot" in the traditional sense.

The Mahi Mahi is one of the best fish sandwiches in the lake area. Hand cut fries are always a nice treat. This time I tried the pecan crusted chicken salad dressing on side. Chicken was heavily crusted and good for deep fried chicken. They need to be so much MORE generous with the apple and other toppings at that price point. Tables are clean, you do your own pick up. No options to tip. Hours are limited and I do wish they were open on Sunday but, welcome to the South. A market is attached, items vary and have many local choices. Meat prices are high, like real high. Overall, a fun place to stop.
