Buvez never fails to brighten my day, not least because nine times out of ten you end up sitting outside in the scorching sun. Jokes aside (the outside is genuinely nice though-- see pics) Buvez really is a quality coffee shop. Their location right next to the railway track and the way it was constructed around a repurposed warehouse adds a lot to the aesthetic. The baristas are, well, quintessential baristas. It's evident they all enjoy the job, and almost everything I've ordered has come out tasting great. A few of them can make some pretty killer latte art as well. Their "shtick," if you will, are their snowcones. They're not featured on the menu (it has its own miniature menu off to the side) but they're genuinely really good. My boyfriend and I enjoyed ours a lot, and their presentation is great as well. I normally make a point to visit Buvez whenever I'm back in Athens. If you're looking for a local coffee shop to chill with friends or chat about the latest Athenian news I'd highly recommend.

Super cool place and my coffee and food were amazing. Definitely on the pricey side. The inside was definitely a vibe and I think there is some outdoor seating.

cute coffee shop in Athens located in a quiet area, they have great outdoor space, interior space, great coffee, and food. There's vegan options, non dairy options as well. No Apple Pay

One of my favorite coffee shops in Athens! It's a great place to study or just hang out with friends. The shop is super cozy and a great place to chill. My go to drink is the nola nectar latte. The staff is usually pretty nice and helpful (I've had a few who haven't been, but very rare).

If you're looking for an instragram-worthy cafe, this place is it. I ordered boiled egg open sandwich with golden milk (almond milk w tumeric, cinnamon, other spices). It was pretty bland but good quality. Total came out to be $10 w tip and I think that's a good price for a quick lunch/snack while working or studying at a cafe. They have a small menu but put in effort to make it satisfying for whatever you're looking for: coffee, tea, sandwiches, snacks, wine, or beer. I'm not really a coffee person so I haven't tried their coffee but heard it's good!

Super cute vibes! They had lots of outdoor seating since their dining room is still closed. The dirty chai was $5 and I got it with almond milk. It was my first time trying a dirty chai and I really enjoyed it! My friend got the bagel sandwich which had prosciutto, cheese, tomato, & arugula - absolutely delicious!! I would definitely come back here to do work, study, or hang out with friends. They also serve beer & wine which is so fun!

Coffee was good. $11 for a cold egg ham & pimento cheese sandwich was not. Service is fine. I would just stick to the drinks

If you're there for coffee it's great. If you want food don't do it. $11 for a sandwich I wouldn't give a homeless person.

Store sold the known Creature Comforts brands of beer -including our favorite seasonal milk stout Kona Buni, logoed shirts and accessories and my personal favorite coffee liqueur - one of their newer products. The man who worked the register area also provided samples of products. He educated on content, processes to create and alcohol volume. There was never any pressure to purchase, just the opportunity to sample and experience the brand. It did lead to a purchase that was aided by the positive interaction from this gentleman and the ability to sample beers on tap in the larger dine-in area of Creature Comforts. I did enjoy the beers too. The outdoor area looked inviting, and will likely experience the next time I'm in Athens. Our visit to Creature Comforts was a great way to celebrate my Florida Gators men's basketball win over GA on their home turf!

It was a sweltering day outside and the A/C and cold beers were definitely a welcomed sight. The owner and staff we spoke with were so friendly and gave my brother in law (who will be close by now) the run down on upcoming Oktoberfest events and when the best times to visit were to avoid the insane college weekends. Inside the shop is small but they have a big beautiful outdoor seating space with games at each table. Liked the string game outside (where you try to get the string on the hook). A great little stop for a quick, cheap bite. Not necessarily a place to linger.

This was my fourth time here, and I always bring someone new and everyone always leaves impressed. We ordered the Schweinehaxe, a traditional German dish, and it was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. It's definitely something I always go for when I visit because it's a must-try here. One of my friends was seriously impressed. We also had the mashed potatoes, which were very tasty, and one of my friends ordered the meatloaf and loved it. Overall, the food is very authentic, with plenty of traditional German options to choose from. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. There was even live music, which made the experience even better. Another highlight is the view, the restaurant sits right by the river, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place. It's definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to and want to bring new people to.

We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, but were told our table was already ready, so we were seated. (The restaurant tables are very close together, so be aware that if anyone in your party is wheelchair bound, it may be difficult for them to maneuver around.) The restaurant is kept very warm inside, and I'm usually someone who feels cold easily, but even I was rather hot. A woman brought water glasses and a water carafe to our table and said, "If you want something besides water, just let me know," and then walked off. So, in my mind, that woman was a food assistant or a food runner. Turned out, she was our waitress! She later stopped by, didn't introduce herself and didn't ask if we'd ever been there before, but did ask if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered Potato Pancakes. She also asked if we wanted bread service, so we said yes. We did notice from other conversations at the very close tables near ours, that many of the customers are regulars and have their favorite waitstaff. The manager had stopped by a table to regrettably inform a couple that their favorite waiter was out for 2 weeks. So, that did give us hope that if they have regulars, it must be good. The Potato Pancakes were delicious! (I didn't even stop to snap a picture because we were very hungry!) My husband ordered the "Bier" + Cheese Burger ($16.95), and I ordered the Pork Shank "Schwweinehaxe" ($34). The waitress said she had to check the availability of the Pork Shank, so I told her that if it wasn't available, to put in Chicken Wienerschnitzel. Then she didn't come back to let us know what the kitchen said. My husband flagged her down to find out if the pork shank was available, and she said she'd forgotten to come back, but that it was. He also told her that it was my birthday, so she brought out a cute birthday tea light for the table. The food was absolutely delicious, and for the price point, you can easily see why people are regulars there! The pork shank was enormous! (We ate off of it 2 more times after we took it home. The restaurant gave us extra gravy at no charge, too.) The rosemary mashed potatoes were very good! The presentation was lovely! My husband really enjoyed his burger. Then for dessert, our waitress brought out a slice of tiramisu with a wedge of chocolate cake over it, berries, whipped cream, and a little birthday candle in it. Turned out really wonderful! Will definitely go back to this unique spot!
