Alright, there are a whole bunch of reviews for sip that review their soda. If you are going here for soda this review isn't for you. But a word of advice...you do realize diet coke it just a bunch of garbage aspartame that will make you crave sugar in other parts of your eating right? Hence the sugar cookie every soda place sells. Plus, diet coke tastes like liquid moth balls. If you are going to get a soda, get a d*mn full calorie soda. Everything in moderation. ***Gets off soap box*** With that out of the way, sip has a great chai. How hard is it to make a good chai? Well, if I go to a coffee shop and see another sad box of Oregon chai I'll loose it. Sip on the other hand had a house blend of chai that was spicy, sweet perfection. Checked this place out while waiting for our take-out breakfast from the (also very Yelp-able) Janet's Sunshine Cafe. So if you're waiting 45 minutes for your breakfast to be made, run by Sips to get a coffee drink (or a soda, if that's your poison) and you'll be in Yelp Heaven in both Bountiful *and* North Salt Lake! With that preamble done, on to the review: I got a large iced coffee, of course - my signature drink. No sweetener, easy on the cream. The pebbled ice in an iced coffee was a pleasant surprise. The coffee had good flavor, a bit weak/watery, slightly burnt-tasting, but all in all I enjoyed the beverage to the last drop. Not a huge fan of the styrofoam cups, but I guess that's what you get from a soda joint. 4 stars! read more

I went to sips today and very surprised to find that my 24 ounce latte went from 5.58 with tax to 6.60 overnight! Way more than beans and brew for the same latte! i was going there at least 3 times a week but no more over paying for my latte!!!! I have visited the Sips in clearfield 3 times now because I appreciate the sugar free flavors they offer. I will say the girls at the window have always been friendly so that's a plus. But after today I will never go back, at least not for coffee. I always get an iced latte or breve, I like it strong so I always pay for an extra shot or 2 depending on the size of drink and I always ask for extra ice so it's not overly milky. I only actually got the extra ice once, but my biggest complaint is their coffee/espresso for the latte is the weakest stuff I have ever had. I thought it was just me, and I need more shots or something, but after the 3rd try I give up. They either have horribly weak espresso or they never put in the extra shots I order. My small iced breve today tastes like milk and the coconut flavor I asked for and that's it. I literally thought they forgot the coffee altogether but it has a slight tan color so I am guessing at least something is in it. Definitely do no recommend Sips for coffee/lattes etc. I almost forgot to mention they are really expensive in my opinion, especially for such a weak drink. My 16oz iced breve today was $5.90! I love sips! I've been going since it was just a trailer in the old K-Mart parking lot. They have the BEST lattes and hot cocoa (my favorite is the hot caramel macchiato latte) and I'm impressed with the progress they've made, adding so many new drinks and snacks to the menu. I stop on my way to work whenever I can-I've probably filled at least 20 punch cards here. Staff is very friendly and the service is quick. Keep up the great work!! read more

Sips is pretty good place. Their prices are a little high on their bakery goods in my opinion but their worth the price. I love the peanut butter hazelnut cookie try it you will not regret it. The drinks are good you can have them make basically any mix you can think of. Try Diet Mountain Dew with mango. I have had one guy take my order and felt like he was grumpy that day. This is probably my favorite coffee and chai in all the states I've visited. Their Chai is a house blend. Not from a can or bag. I live in Southern Utah and every time I travel up North, I make it a priority to go to Sips. Plus, their a local business and I love helping locals out. My kids like Sips more than Fiiz. And we don't really go to swig that often. They have cookies and treats that are delish. If you go and have bad customer service, go on another day. We all have bad days or are in bad moods. Sips, you may have to sell your Chai so I can have it in Southern Utah. I love this place!! read more

I actually went to Sips in clearfield. The drive thru was taking way to long so I went inside. I ordered a 20oz iced latte and it came to $6.60. Are you freaking kidding me??? As I am watching them make my drink I notice that the shots are not fresh. Pre made in a cup then dumped into a measuring cup then into the coffee cup. We were in the area for my nieces dance recital and drove past this place. On the way back to the freeway we decided to stop and give it a try, after all we need to try allll of the "Mormon drive-threw-bars". Anyway, I'll start with what i liked. Their ice. That was great! Service was fine. Building was nice. One of the reasons why we stopped was because we read their marque sign, "donut holes" sounds good, right? When we placed our order at the 1st window I saw their secret....they aren't homemade. Nope, just a big container from Costco or something, just sitting on the counter. Another coffee stop on our cross country trip. And this one made me sad. Their name is super cute and I liked the menu, so when I got my iced hazelnut coffee and hated it, I was pretty disappointed! It tastes like liquid fruity pebbles which is very strange for a coffee. I sadly couldn't even drink it. My mom did love her frappe so I give them 2 stars for that. My absolute favorite Dirty soda business! They are always friendly and their drinks are always PERFECTLY mixed. Whenever I go elsewhere, the first few sips are always a gulp of syrup! I can only assume that drive-thru soda establishments is a Utah thing. It has to be and it makes sense considering a good portion of the population does not consume alcohol. These cocktails of soda and delicious sugary syrups are a divine alternative to their adult beverage cousins. You can't go more than two blocks without spotting one of these soda slingers. Sips does an excellent job of setting itself apart from the competition while offering mostly the same stuff. For instance, you can expect your favorite sodas infused with a variety of flavor explosions and the mythical pink cookie which seems to be the litmus for these trendy beverage shacks. Sips, however, takes it a step further to include a wide variety of coffee selections. My first encounter with Sips was to sample their drip coffee for which I am a sucker. I am always on the look out for my next favorite drive through warm beverage dispensary. Sadly, the quality of Sips' drip coffee was only a half a step above my local gas station and the wait for it was much longer. Sips always has a line so you know they must be doing something right. I discovered what it must be on my next visit. This time it was for a giant soda. If you have not experienced a place similar to this, you may feel a bit like a fish out of water just as I did. Foolishly, I pulled right up to the window and tried to ask questions about what they had. The indignant teen manning the window did not have patience for my rookie mistakes so I found myself backing up like an idiot to view the menu that is on the wall next to the window. Don't forget your glasses if you need them because the print is super small on account of all the many flavor options. I also discovered that ordering needs to be done on some sort of rhythm of which I am not familiar as it seems to be different than the typical coffee shop etiquette. I ordered two larges, a root beer with stuff and a diet coke with other stuff. He confused gentleman asked if the diet coke was also large to which I responded yes and proceeded to order some cookies. We paid a little more than $10 which I thought was steep. It wasn't until I reached the second window that I discovered the error of my novice ways. The peppier teen manning the second window promptly tossed out three extremely large beverages explaining that the root beer ones needed to be sampled as the flavor may have run out. I ended up with two gargantuan root beers and a diet coke. I did try to explain to the second window lady that it was my intent to only order two beverages. My explanation was met with a confused blank stare indicating that I was stuck with all three because they had already been poured into the two-hand worthy styrofoam containers. Glancing at my passenger for any hint of affirmation, I received a look that indicated that I was the moron in the situation so I quickly ended any attempt to correct my intended order. I smiled, said 'thank you', and we were on our way. Thankfully the root beer flavor had not run out and we discovered that if you carefully remove the ice, these concoctions can be enjoyed even a day later out of the refrigerator. The cookies are absolutely amazing too. If Sips could manage the drip coffee situation, I would probably have to have my paychecks forwarded to them directly. It would also be very helpful, especially for beginners like me, to have a larger menu positioned somewhere before you get to the window. Now that I kind of know what to expect, I'm sure our next visit will be much less awkward and less expensive. If you haven't tried Sips, I suggest you do, but definitely don't do what I did. read more

I love Sips. When I was a kid, my mom used to take us here to get smoothies and cinnamon bun lattes (this was when they were in the parking lot of Kmart). I thought they had closed down when Kmart did, so when I found out they had just moved one street up, I was thrilled. The workers at Sips are the best. I'm serious, I dread going to Starbucks now because I am so used to the service Sips provides. The employees are friendly, quick, and warm. I am especially loving the new cold brew they serve -- that vanilla cream is BOSS. Also obsessed with the white chocolate macadamia latte. My only complaint is that sometimes the drinks are overly sweet, but my last few visits have scored me drinks that are absolutely perfect. Don't skip the cookies either. Super awesome place to get a drink. Be it hot or cold. I have had their chai which is amazing. Better then Starbucks or any other place I have tried and from what I'm told its made in shop. I get them hot and cold, I would suggest trying it with some coconut and Carmel in one. Their hot cocoa is also on point. It tastes so freaking good. Last but not least they have a huge soda selection and are awesome with letting try there own on top of a nice menu. The drinks seem pretty original and I like the flavors. Also they don't taste too sugary. My favorite is, I think the Dr. Brule. Tastes like butter beer from the Harry Potter Land in Orlando. read more

I like Sips for the convenience of being able to get my usual chai or vanilla soy latte, here in town, since I won't support or condone Star Bucks coffee (the only other place I can think of to get these types of drinks in town, from a drive-through). And I really do like the quality of Sips coffee or tea... But to be honest, it just depends on who is working. It is a bit pricy, (in my opinion) so when they don't come through with a well made drink, then that's a bother and really doesn't work for me, seeing as how it's $10 for two drinks. Last time I went to Sips there were two new people working, a boy and girl, and they both didn't seem happy to be working there (I instantly felt skeptical, too, since they weren't as polite as the others I've seen working so often) and I had to ask them to remake both of the drinks I ordered for my sister and I (a vanilla soy latte and macadamia nut cappuccino) The girl seemed totally perturbed and eye-rolly. I didn't mind waiting, money isn't so easily disposable and treating my sister and I to a sugary drink should be enjoyable, not something we want to throw away along with the $10... This is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5. To me, it just depends on whose working. If they take the time and know how to make an appropriate latte or cappuccino, then 5 stars all the way, plus a tip... Because a proper latte is *serious* business ;) read more

Ordered a beverage, took one sip and it was not good. Handed it right back through the window and asked for something else. Was told I had to BUY ANOTHER DRINK and that she would not replace it. I said I just wanted my money back. She refused. After her refusimg to givw me a manager or owner's info, I said I would not leave until I got a drink or my money back. I just came from Sips. I had a problem with my order, and asked for a replacement, and was told it was against store policy per the owner. Fine. I kind of don't get upsetting a customer over a drink that costs 20¢ to make, but policy is policy. What was unacceptable is the way I was treated by not one, but TWO employees. They acted like my request for a new drink was an abomination. They would not provide their names nor the owner's contact information. One of them, after snarling at us for our entire conversation, slammed the window in our face--and I mean SLAMMED, like a petulant teenager--and then another employee saw fit to come back, open the window, and say, "That's what you get for being rude!" What school of customer service is this? Any other business would fire both these employees. Disgusting. When management addressed our complaints hours later, we got even more attitude. I cannot fathom what business school encourages snark as a tenet of good customer service. It's reprehensible. read more
