3 cups has lots of seating area inside. The people who work here are very kind. Parking is very easy, they have a parking lot in the back. Their coffees and teas are very tasty. It's a great place to do some early morning or late night work at. They also serve wine and cheese in the evening, they also have gelato and other dessert as well. Very nice cafe to grab a beverage. It was really nice and spacious inside as well so you can definitely lounge about too. They have great looking pastries as well (didn't get any but definitely considered the chocolate chip cookie). Their staff were friendly and the latte I purchased was great. Decent coffee. They do offer a lot of seasonal flavors, and it seems to be a hip place to have coffee and chat or work, but the coffee is fine. One thing worth mention is their gelato. We went just to get food, and for all three of our very simple foods it took over 30 minutes. We waited 30 minutes for a baguette that should have taken five minutes. When we asked the workers about it and asked them if we could have it, they started whispering and talking bad about us right in front of us. My friends and I came in, were not greeted, and when we tried to order, the woman with blue hair was not attentive nor present with us. This coffee shop is right off a busy street, with great visibility and even a few tables outside to enjoy a cuppa while soaking up some sun. Parking back of building. There is outside seating. Inside was busy on a Saturday morning. I got a regular coffee and my husband got an açaí bowl. I liked the coffee. My husband like the açaí bowl. The line was long but it was quick. Their food case was sparse looked like they were running out of pastries. Only thing I didn't like and I know they can't control it is flies. I'm not frequently in the heart of Holliday, but I have made it to 3 cups on a few occasions. They have a great layout and location for a nice cup of coffee. But in addition, they also have unique ice cream flavors, that make a great affogato. I tried a high west whiskey ice cream with mine, and it complemented beautifully. The other drinks are good as well, and on par with other coffee shops. The staff has always been friendly and my drinks came out quickly. They offer a number of snack items as well that are worth trying out. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more

The americanos come with milk unless otherwise specified which I wasn't anticipating but wasn't disappointed by. By far my favorite local espresso I've tried. Went here on a first date, and I honestly don't think I've ever experienced worse customer service. We stood waiting while the woman behind the counter made a coffee and didn't acknowledge us at all. My date finally asked if we were in the right place to order, and she snapped, "Yes, I'll be with you in a second, can't you see I'm busy?" When I ordered, I asked for a glass of wine, and she told me she couldn't sell it unless I bought food, which I understood. But when I took a moment to decide on a cookie, she kept pressing, "So what are you going to do?" The whole interaction just felt unnecessarily rude. The food and wine were okay, but the customer service completely ruined the experience. I wouldn't come back. read more

Bummed to leave this place a two star review but frustrated with the customer service. We had a togo order with a couple of scones, cinnamon roll, and a tart. When we got the box my mom asked is everything in here and the cashier confirmed it. Long story short we went back after about 45 minutes of getting it. We just asked to get the cinnamon roll and instead of being apologetic about forgetting the food we paid for, it was more of a rude "here you go" like we did something wrong. Best coffee in Holladay! 3 cups is a great place to study, meet with a friend, or have a bit to eat with a cup of joe! I love how they are a safe and inviting space for LGBTQI+ community and teammembers and that shows in the kindness of their staff. The drink menu specials are awesome and I chose the Cereal Milk latte. While I would have like it to be a bit sweeter, I'll keep that in mind for next time! If I lived closer, I'd stop by 3 Cups all the time. The space is bright and bustling. The pastries are jaw dropping. And the staff is very friendly. It was refreshing! The only unfortunate encounter was when they automatically added cream to the drip coffee. I guess I should have specified that I wanted it black when I ordered, but typically drips come black and you can add cream or sugar later...I won't make the same mistake twice! The morning tart was seasoned perfectly. If the tart is anything like the rest of the baked goods, I will definitely need to explore the display case on my next visit. Good spot for a great coffee. Limited seating creates longer waits during prime hours and leaves very little seating if you want to stay, visit with friends or work. The crowd causes lots of noise making it hard to visit. The space is clean and crisp with a very minimal-modern chic feel. Food options aren't typical of a local coffee shop, but that might appeal to some. Lots of unique snacks and even gelato. Coffee was good, I got a hot lavender + vanilla latte with oatmilk. Latte was frothy, creamy, and espresso had a warm and consistent flavor. Would go again, but probably won't be my go-to coffee shop. read more

Anything that is good about 3 Cups could be a lot better. Here's what I mean: - Coffee and Food- good not great. Chai is a crappy concentrate, the teas taste generic. Pastries are a little bit short of same-day fresh. Not as good compared to another SLC place like Three Pines or Tres Gatos, whose product is locally made and fresh daily. - Space- very spacious, but staff isn't on top of cleaning when folks leave, so you'll be bussing someone else's dirty plates and napkins. Floors could be cleaner too. Back tables outside aren't good--always staff smoking around there. - Service- not good. My friend described 3 cups vibes to me as "off," and it's been consistently weird every time with their employees. Staff aren't quick or friendly or smiling. Slow, not talkative, and sometimes even rude or standoffish. Would be one thing if this was a one-time thing, but it's always that way. read more

Our favorite Saturday spot! We have been here every weekend for a month- for the coffee, gelato, avocado toast, and pastries. Located in the delightfully cute downtown Holladay, where they have fun shops and eateries. 3 cups stands out as one of the best coffee shops in Salt Lake County. They have yummy seasonal drinks such as a lavender latte and spicy mocha latte! The egg salad/toast is to die for and the pastries are fresh everyday. We tried the GF cinnamon roll and it tasted just as good as normal! The staff is nice and edgy! The parking is out back but can get packed fast. They have socially distanced booths and window seating. They have clean/dirty signs on all the tables along with easily accessible sanitizer. read more

Came in the morning hours and there was no wait. The service was friendly and there's plenty of seating (for an hour, then there's a fee). The prices are similar to Starbucks. The coffee itself was rich and flavorful. I had the vanilla latte and most of the sugary vanilla flavor fell to the bottom of the cup.
