The food here is amazing! If you want to eat ajarski khachapouri then go to Sipan Bakery. It is just magically delicious, even the bread alone is tasty. The bread has some type of herb or seasoning that just makes it so delicious and full of flavor. The zahtar with cheese is also just as delicious. I don't know what it is, but I just love it. They really know how to make delicious food that fills you up. The owner is very nice and funny too. If you want to try something, he will give you a generous sample. The lahmajune and breakfast pizza sounded really interesting but were too salty and dry for me. I would have liked more sauce or moisture and airiness in the dough. Judging by other reviews, this place makes pretty authentic dishes, so maybe this type of food just wasn't for me. They sat down with us and explained the sizes, how much each served, and how much food we would need for the particular size of party we were hosting. They were spot on with the amount of food to order. We ended up with having the perfect amount of food. Additionally the prices were great and we didn't end up spending a fortune to cater. I've been coming to Sipan for quite some time now and if there is one thing I love, it's consistency. This place tastes great, any time.. every time! They have all kinds of middle eastern baked goods and the guys are Syrian-American. They take my phone order 10 minutes in advance before I get there so its hot and fresh as soon as I arrive. Their menu is often evolving and improving as I see they have added some new things on the menu since last time I was here. Some of my favorite foods here include the ajarski, lahmajune, shawarma tacos, the different boreks and tahini bread. I think what really makes this place is the fact that I can order my food and pay after I'm done! They even bring the food out to your table. You can choose to sit inside or outside and there is always people. The prices are decent too. In my opinion its the best Ajarski in Glendale. read more

The owner was very nice and explained what everything was, and brought out the food when it was ready. DELICIOUS! Olive beorek was a good appetizer and the veggie ajarski was pretty good, but the falafel tacos were the show stealers. They have a great spicy dressing and have a touch of mint in them which waa surprisingly tasty. We also got a spicy cheese beorek that I would have passed on if i had a do over. Altogether with a couple drinks it was about 20bucks. We will definitely be coming back. I was thinking of getting a vegetarian lahmajun but the server said they don't make those which doesn't jibe with the reviews I had read. Maybe I'll try again next time. read more

I'm in heaven. My only sadness is that I no longer live up the street from here :( I did a quick search for vegan in the area as I was in Glendale for other reasons and I came across this place. I knew I had to give it a try, I'm not Armenian but grew up with Armenian food in Glendale and I miss it since a lot of items aren't vegan. But Sipan Bakery did not disappoint! I tried the falafel taco, zaatar manaeish, potato borek, and the spinach borek. Oh man, so simple yet so delicious. Enjoy the potato borek with some sriracha and you're golden. read more

Of all the Armenian/Middle Eastern bakery's Saipan has to be my absolute favorite. Everything and I seriously mean everything is so good. Everything is made fresh daily and if you come later in the day warmed up in their wooden oven that seems as though it was just made. Nothing is kept under a heat lamp or such thing. The second you walk into Sipan you're always greeted with a warm welcome and automatically taken back by the aroma of freshly made hot cheese bouregs coming out of the oven. When you come in the the mornings you can't miss the Arabic music playing, I absolutely love this ace. I recommend the muhammara both open face and sandwich form ( includes mint,cucumbers,olives,cheese, and fresh olive oil), and definitely try the lehmejune, I get mine spicy. Pair your meal with a pineapple bon juice and it's like heaven. read more

Falafel taco is very yummy and light. They even have falafel "lettuce", great for those watching their carbs! They have wraps for breakfast and lunch/dinner and it's very fresh, made on the spot.
