Coffee is okay, service is terrible. There are plenty of other coffee shops in town that offer better service and more flavor. I have tried this coffee shop a few times over the past 5 years. I've never had a great experience with service. I thought I'd give it another shot today, but again left disappointed. Before ordering I asked if they took Apple Pay, I was told they did. When I went to pay the reader kept saying someone about "one card". After the 2nd time the barista making drinks rudely told me that I should only have one card up on my Apple Wallet and it was my fault it wasn't working because I was trying to use multiple cards. I only have one card set up on my Apple Wallet and have never had a problem using Apple Pay. After receiving my drink I looked around for a straw but only saw metal ones for sale for $1. The staff decided to close over thirty minutes early today even though their posted hours for Sunday's state they are open till 5PM. Neither of the two staff members rushing around outside could be bothered to say anything as they watched us walk inside. It was only after we came in that they decided to inform us that they were closed. Even when confronted with the plainly posted hours of operation on thier own front door we were told that that was incorrect. One of the staff members went and double checked the hours on the front door and that's when the story changed to "We were told to close at 4:30 today." Don't waste your time coming here unless you want lung cancer and to be molested by tons of second-hand smoke. The inside and outside of this place looks very inviting and comfy. The outside patio has some cushioned chairs perfect for relaxation or to dig into a book. But my friends looks can be deceiving. Unfortunately for me I already bought a tea and headed outside just for my nostrils to be greeted by the disgusting residue of second-hand smoke and cigarette chemicals embedded in the cushioned seats. To make things worse some jag-off came and sat beside me with a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. I immediately got up and walked around the corner only to be greeted by some other Jag-off succulently sucking on a cancerous butt. So there's 3 people outside puffing on death smoke and all the outdoor seats smell like second-hand smoke and cigarette chemicals, absolutely disgusting. This is my first and last time coming to this place. I can't believe you actually have coffee shops that let these suicidal jackasses smoke outside on their premises. For those who don't know Cigarette smoking causes about one of every five deaths in the United States each year. Ahhhh!!!! Found this place by chance! I was meeting some friends for dinner locally and wanted to get some work done. I looked up local coffee shops and found Sip Java. As soon as I walked in I loved the atmosphere. The guy at the counter was awesome! He greeted me with a friendly face and had a great attitude. I looked at their menu and was instantly intrigued! I decided to try their electric coffee iced! Btw the smallest size for iced coffees, lattes, etc. are only available in 16oz which was perfectly fine with me. I was trying to watch my weight, but it must be a sign that I dont need too. (Hair flip lol) I looked up on Yelp and saw that they had avocado toast, who doesnt love avocado toast? But then I looked at their board and saw tomato basil avocado toast. I loved the combination, so I went with it. I was assigned the letter "I" and the guy was so awesome he gave me a word with it. "I" FOR INTRIGUE. Very cool I thought. I'm not going to lie I'm usually scared to try new coffee spots because I'm particular with my coffee, but my oh my the the mix of carmel, vanilla, and cinnamon was a great idea. I loved it and couldnt put my drink down. Then my tomato basil avocado toast came out and the server who brought it to me was so kindly enough to cut it up for me. I was even more excited when I saw that there was balsamic vinaigrette on it. It was like a party in my mouth. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a hip, chill, and cool study, work or chill spot. This place must have changed hands in the past few months, because it used to be called Brew, now it's called Sip. No big deal. Most of the beverages are the same, most of the food tastes the same, but you can tell that the management and staff have changed. The new owners appear to be Eastern European and have a heavy accent-I was laughing hysterically as one of the apparent regulars was clearly flirting with the sales girl in what sounded like Russian or Czech. This is not a place where I will come often seeing as it isn't really near my house but it's a stone's throw from one of my offices. They have some interesting microbrewery coffees that aren't bad and I have had one of the breakfast sandwiches (when it was Brew) that was pretty damn good. I do find it oddly irritating that they don't seem to provide you with free wifi (that I could tell). They seem very techie using the ipads with Square to checkout, but in the 5-10 minutes I sat in here, I quickly opened up my ipad and it appeared that the wifi was a locked/secured network. Boo. Also, the Square app is cool and all, but it automatically expects between a 15-30% tip. You can choose none, but then it becomes immediately apparent to the person serving you. I'm a tipper when it's necessary but pouring me drip coffee really has never been an avenue where I see a need to tip on the regular, and 30% is outrageous in any scenario. Outstanding barista that makes my hell morning better and makes me smile or slips me an extra espresso for free? Sure. tip. Not a bad place to grab a cup of Joe though, smaller and cooler than a Starbs and likely less crowded but I'm not crazy enough to try coming here at 6:30 am on a Tuesday. read more

Love this place! My girlfriend and I are always looking for alternatives to the big name chains and this place was an awesome find! The coffee is delicious and the food is fresh and scrumptious. We had two breakfast sandwiches and the avocado toast and ate every single crumb. The atmosphere is cool and cozy with indoor and outdoor seating. I go to this place too often. I drive past at least four or five coffee shops to get there. I liked it when it was Brew and I still do. I find the place very comfortable. There are regular customers I see on nearly every visit. They read, study, or quietly conduct business. I guess "chill" describes the experience. Mind you, I do understand that the choice of a coffee shop is a very personal matter. Your mileage is, well, yours. The coffee and pastries are great. (And yes, I have had their coffee without hiding it in a latte.) Considering the quality, the prices are reasonable. My only gripe is that I wish they had more cushy seating. (As in more cushy seats, not seats that are more cushy.) Buy some more couches, guys! (Ditch the cabinet and the chairs at the south end of the shop, stuff a couple more compact-ish couches in there and you would actually gain about three seats.) On the other hand, if you are into working with your computer on a desk/table/counter, their current layout has you covered. There are tons of seats like that and power plugs are within reach of most or all of them. The WiFi works fine, too. Totally worth checking out. read more

I got a medium vanilla cappuccino with ricotta, honey, fruit, and almond toast. The toast was made with a substantial slice of ciabatta bread. It was fresh and sweet but not overly so. My only complaint is that the coffee was too sweet for my taste and could have benefited from less syrup than was added. Ultimately I would say for your money this would be a good step up from places like Starbucks where you will ultimately pay the same for a lesser quality product. I like the changes they've made since they used to be Brew. Although it kinda went from urban hipster to bright modern hipster. I liked both vibes but I do love the brighter atmosphere. The girls at the counter were really friendly and helpful they made suggestions which were great. I got the marsala chai which was perfect & my sister got the serendipity which was also awesome. This was...WAS the place ro get an awesome Pour over; things changed. The staff didn't know where their coffee came from and told me the Espresso was 'Italian' Only after I began looking around did I see Argyle Coffee for sale and educated them in their coffee. My wife ordered a Chai Latte then, 20 minutes later I got credit for due to them not making it. A 'Barrista' confusing Argyle with Italian speaks volumes. I'm glad I didn't order a Chemex or Kalita as her "skillset' in executing a pour over was probably as expert as her knowledge of Coffee.
