So this is a lovely little cafe across the parking lot from a Winn Dixie. I started off sitting outside since they have some cute little tables there and there was plenty of shade. However a lot of folks were smoking so I made my way indoors, and thankfully had no problem finding a place to sit. Both areas are super nice. I saw a lot of folks indoors working on their laptops. I don't know how crowded it gets. There are cozy spots inside if that's your vibe. The servers were super helpful, you will need to ask one for the Wifi password. The cashier took my order and then brought it out so quick. The coffee is solid, and I'm told the Black tea is good, but I think the food really shines here. I don't know what they do, but the hashbrown was far better than I was expecting. I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area. read more

I used to come to this location a lot back in the day, but haven't been in a while. I stopped here to meet a friend who was traveling from Miami and it was a pretty good experience. The people behind the counter could have been a bit more friendly but what can you do. The food was good even though it's pricey, but that is to be expected at Victoria Park. A place of zen to sip a coffee or have a snack. Enjoyed the 1980s rock music playing lightly, which helped the eerie silence of the place. Every patron had their faces inside their laptops with empty coffee cups next to them. Just had my 3rd cup of coffee at a nearby cafe and now required something simple and tasty to eat. I chose the hash brown patty which was crispy and temporarily suppressed my hunger for an hour until I find a local pizza place to try. The gender assigned bathroom was clean and had a cool picture of the Brooklyn Bridge that added some color into the gray and white room. I spent a lovely Saturday working on my laptop in the afternoon at Sip Java. The atmosphere is friendly and chill, with a steady flow of customers but never an overwhelming line. I ordered an iced coffee (good flavor, though I wish they offered extra ice or kept some chilled nearby mine melted pretty quickly after the hot pourover) and the chicken salad on toasted sourdough. As someone allergic to dairy, I appreciated the many menu options, and the sandwich was delicious, a great dupe for Cheese Course! I just wish there had been a bit more heaped on for the $9 price point. The staff were genuinely kind, polite, and hustling nonstop; both the cashier and the server were friendly and upbeat. My absolute favorite part? So. Many. Dogs. Every few minutes another adorable, well-behaved pup strolled by. heaven!!The space is clean and cozy, though the bathroom (while tidy and midrenovation with cute paint swatches) was out of soap that day. One downside: no air conditioning. The open doors and cross breeze helped in early October, but I can't imagine it in peak summer. Love this place. Of all the Broward coffee shops I know (pretty much all of them), I find this to be one to be the best for getting proper work done. Partly it's the nice variety of seating options, partly it's the good wifi, partly it's the fact that the place seems to attract people looking for the same, creating good community work/study vibes. All of that is great, of course, but also, this place gets the basics right. Very good espresso drinks at reasonable prices, pleasant service, convenient parking (in a strip mall), etc. One area for improvement, though: I've been here twice now when the staff have started disinfecting the premises with a pretty astringent cleaning product, something that irritates my asthmatic lungs and also makes it hard for me to enjoy my coffee (and has forced me to one of the outside tables). I'm all for cleanliness in food service establishments, but indoor air quality is also important. read more

So let me start off by saying- I used to LOVE this place. I used to eat here every weekend as well as any other time I got a craving for one of their yummy sandwiches or baked goods. But like most things in Lauderdale once they become mainstream things slowly but surely change for the worse. Food, though the quality remains about the same, every month they're changing the prices. It's become more like Subpar Miami everyday - Give as little as possible to the customer while squeezing out as much profit as possible. Service- They used to be soooo friendly here which left you with that neighborhood spot feel. Now they just seem to go through the motions. Ambiance- well it is set up like a regular cafe. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It always saddens me when one of my favorites changes. But such is the cycle of businesses I guess. They either retain what made them special in the first place or they decide that profit is most important. One strategy retains loyal customers and the other does not. Specifically, the air conditioning is broken, making the workplace uncomfortably hot and humid. Furthermore, I have concerns about the manager,Carolline , who is an immigrant and allegedly brings her personal issues to work, negatively impacting staff. This place was such a nice find. There is a good amount of space to study. At least four large tables with outlets and a nice couch situation if you want to just sip and sit. The music isn't obnoxiously loud and the cafe isn't wildly loud as well. Lighting is solid as well, lots of sunlight! Definitely coming back. What a cute cafe! It's sort of a blend between a modern, bougie cafe while also having the vibe of something a tad older from the early 2000s. Very open with lots of light, good amount of seating. I wanted to try their version of my favorite, an iced latte. To my surprise they had some delicious sounding signature drinks & tasty bites on their menu. I wasn't really hungry but was eyeing The Rosalie toast. Ricotta, fresh berries, almonds & honey, yum. I'll definitely be back for that for sure. I decided on their Electric Shock Iced Latte. Wow loved it so good! It had caramel, vanilla & cinnamon flavors. Perfection! Sip Java is located in a busy plaza but I was able to find parking. The shop is a nice size with plenty of natural light. I've been here a couple of times now and honestly find the espresso to be pretty tasteless, not sure what other coffee others have tried on here but personally I wouldn't recommend the iced lattes from here. My family really enjoyed their lunch offerings though and I personally enjoyed a delicious brownie that was from a local bakery. Perhaps the good food and table set up for those looking to work is more the draw? They have a standing desk section which seems novel. Though, I prefer the comfy couches hehe cause of the cushions ;D In addition, I saw beautiful paintings they had displayed on the walls! Spi Java is a charming little café tucked away in a shopping center off of N. Federal Highway. The location itself is quaint and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating options for sipping coffee and relaxing in the morning! There is a large menu with a variety of breakfast, lunch, pastry, and beverage selections. The venue was crowded with Sip Java regulars at 8:30 a.m. today, which is always a good sign! I got the iced electric shock and was overjoyed to see that they have sugar-free syrups! The drink itself was delicious, with the cinnamon powder on top balancing out the sweetness. Overall, the drink offered the electric caffeinated shock to energize me for the day. I also purchased a chocolate chip muffin--upon recommendation from another customer--but my cashier, Emma, seemed to give me a cranberry orange muffin instead, which isn't my favorite flavor. She appeared to be a little frazzled at the counter, so maybe she wasn't paying attention when she selected it. Either way, the muffins are not baked in the house; they procure them from Weslley Farms, which is supplied by BJ's. Overall, the cafe is charming, and the coffee is excellent.
