Although I'm a bit of a Starbucks addict, I'm always happy to support local small businesses. And, unlike Starbucks, the blenders are rarely running so Sip Java makes for a much quieter environment to get some work done. Also, they have free wifi and convenient parking. My favorite drink is The Flirt (white mocha and raspberry latte), which I get iced. The food menu is limited but there are some great places to eat nearby if you're seeking a full meal. read more

The vibe here was hip and relaxing, with great service - and lots of humor! The coffee was expertly done, and I sat and used the wifi right at the "bar." The highlight, however, was the avocado toast - super yum! A healthy style, thick cut piece of grainy toast with avocado sliced and spread on it. Super delicious! I'm new to Fort Lauderdale, but so far this is my favorite coffee joint. It is really cute place to sit, get a coffee (and/or tea, pastry, sandwich) and study. My wife and I have been coming here on Sundays to read and get work done. It's pretty quiet and the other customers are typically friendly and polite. The coffee and food are great...my favorite drink is the hot Canadian (which I had to try since I am married to a hot Canadian) which is sweet with just a hint of maple syrup. Best of all is their customer service...everyone working there is so nice, friendly and helpful. It is a very relaxing environment where you feel at home. I highly recommend. read more

This is place like out of a TV show. Everyone knows each other, everyone knows the baristas, the baristas are the friendliest ever I've encountered in a coffee shop. Maybe living in the NE this is shocking but this is like the community center here. The coffee is outstanding here too. If they had a place like this in DC I'd come here five days a week. Even though I was at the front of the line, the attendant (who is Caucasian - I am not) decided to serve someone else (who is also Caucasian) who was behind me. I promptly left. Just tried this place for first time and it was worth it! The owner was so warm and helpful since the moment we walked in. The shop is cozy with free wifi and seating for inside and out. Loved the menu, different options for coffee and food. I had their Affogato and Angelo iced latte and both great! This was an awesome find for me. First off, the ladies working there are so kind and sweet. They were checking on all of the costumers, making sure everyone was satisfied with their drinks and food. I only caught the name of one, Betsy, but they both were so great. I grabbed coffee with some family, iced and hot and it was ridiculously good. The word I kept on saying was smooth. Great stuff. Not only is Sip Java Co a wonderful facility, which offers a multitude of coffe options from your hip cold brew, to interesting coffee concoctions and a good old fashioned large black coffee. The environment is very friendly and open , I have had many interesting conversations with other costumers and the amazing staff. Cafes were traditional where people exchanged intellectual ideas and did important work and this facility offers that atmosphere. The treats are also great as well as the tea selection. This is one of my personal favorite spots to do work or read. And the staff is very helpful and friendly. We went close to 10am on a weekday and I mistakenly thought since it was after 9am work rush it'd be pretty empty. Not even close! I was surprised how packed it was. And it was a younger crowd! Is this where all the under 40s have been hiding in SoFlo?? Everyone greatly enjoyed their very large cups of java no complaints. The inside is tiny and it's really not set up very well for groups. There's one table that sat maybe 6-8, the rest single chairs or two-seater tables. The only sofa looked like a two-seater and was taken over by one guy who had sprawled out with all his stuff so no one else could sit there. (Don't do that. Rude to hog the only sofa in a crowded coffee shop). So our group was forced to sit outside with all the nasty smokers. Hot as blazes and so noisy from street traffic we couldn't even hear each other. We moved to the east side and found a little table. Again only two seater tables so we had to drag a chair over. Much quieter on that side less traffic noise! Still hot as blazes needs shade. Coffee was good but seating is challenging. Not enough "comfy" seating. Hard metal chairs or barstools. One small sofa. Perhaps they don't want you lingering all day on your one cup purchase. The seating would suggest that. It's small and there's not much seating and what's there isn't comfy or set up for groups over two. If you're just stopping in to grab and go, or sit briefly, it's no prob. If you're meeting friends to social like us you'd be more comfortable elsewhere. I wouldn't go back unless someone else really wanted to meet there. read more

One of the best lattes I've ever had. If you are lactose intolerant, they have variations of non-dairy milk. They also have a good food . I love to have for breakfast ABJ sandwich which is almond butter and fresh blueberries with drizzle of honey on whole grain toast.
