Thank you for your prompt and expert removal of my backyard Silver Maple Tree on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. On the previous Thursday, I had seen your crew trimming trees next door. My tree had been rapidly losing dead limbs for the past month, so I called the phone number I had spotted on one of your trucks. The menu options had mentioned an "emergency" contact. Since your crew was located right next door, I dialed Sid (I think), and asked if somebody could take a look at my tree. He told me Nicole would be calling me shortly. Nicole quickly assessed the situation and educated me on my options. I decided to have the tree removed. Nicole told me that Sinnott was booked nearly three weeks in advance, but since my tree was in such a poor state, I would be moved up on the list. She wrote up an estimate, and left it in my mailbox. When I retrieved it, Nicole was still out front. I quickly agreed to the price, and she scheduled me for Tuesday, October 18. Nicole stopped by late on Monday, October 17 to scout out and prepare for the removal the next day, and told me what to expect. I was very impressed with how efficiently the removal process went the following day. The various types of equipment were situated in just the right spots. Everybody knew his/her function, and the tree and stump were gone by the early afternoon. There was absolutely no mess left behind. I never felt so "good" about spending nearly $6000. Nicole was prompt, prepared, knowledgable, and polite. She informed me that a small hole had been spotted in my roof, and handed me a piece of the damaged roofing and shingles, undoubtedly due to a previously fallen limb. I asked her if/when I could plant something in its place, and she let me know the whats and whens. Nicole is a real winner--as I am sure you have already known for quite some time. Needless to say, I will most certainly be contacting Sinnott Tree Services, Inc. for all of my future trimming needs, and I will definitely recommend Sinnott to friends and family--specifically Nicole! Again, many thanks for a terrific job! read more

I had called several tree service companies for estimates on tree trimming services. I was impressed when Sinnott came out. The trees in our yard are very tall and full. With all the other companies I would try pointing out the limbs I wanted taken down but had a hard time communicating it because the branches were so high up. I found myself frustrated because you're pointing up saying "that branch right there" but they had no idea which one I was actually pointing to. And these companies charged per limb removed. When Sinnott arrived Mack was professional and friendly. He had a light pointer so he could use it to single out exactly which limbs I was talking about. It took minutes for my estimate because of this eliminating the frustration and drawn out appointment. He also said that the estimate was for what we discussed however when the crew started the work should there be an extra limb/branches that I didnt notice at estimate time they would just take care of it!!!! I was impressed and agreed to the work. The crew was efficient and professional. They used a bucket truck and was nice enough to ask me about certain branches/limbs to ensure they did exactly what I wanted. They cleaned the entire property when done. Even after the clean-up and the work was done and they were winding down I realized that there was a large limb that I had missed. I asked if they could please just get this taken care of before they left. I am sure it was a pain to drag all the tools back out but they never showed it. They did it immediately and cleaned up again. Now that is great customer service. Bottom line: the cost, work done and customer service was well above the rest. I highly recommend Sinnott Tree Service read more

I wanted to write this review for Sinnott Tree Services, even though I am not one to typically write online reviews, because Mack and the rest of his crew really deserve to have my positive words and feedback about their services to be shared with others. From the moment I talked with Mack, he was polite, responsive and knowledgeable. My project involved both removing a tree as well as replacing it with a new one, and I found his advice to be invaluable regarding which tree would be most suitable for my space. One of the things I most admired about Mack was that when he said he would put me on his schedule within several weeks, he actually did so (sometimes easier said than done), and showed up with his crew and got the work done in a professional, clean and prompt manner. The crews that came over to both remove the one tree and plant the other were both hardworking, conscientious, tidy and friendly. I love our new tree and am grateful that I selected Sinnott Tree Services as the company to help me with my project. Another item worth noting is that although you can get a tree anywhere, going with a reputable tree service who selects top-notch nurseries to purchase from, is worth it when considering the longevity we all hope to get out of planting new trees. I believe that Mack is a trustworthy person to work with and that you will be pleased if you select Sinnott Tree Services for your next tree project because he will give you a fair price, stand by his work, and will leave you very impressed with the quality of it! Definitely a 5-Star job! read more

I wish I could choose more than 5 stars! Rick Sinnott and his team of professionals did a marvelous, fantastic job removing a Norweign pine that was inches from my house. The tree towered over my 2 story home. It had to be removed because the roots were pushing into my basement wall. My wrap-around deck was built so that the tree grew right through the deck floor and ceiling through a specially made opening where the tree continued up for another 60-70 feet. I thought they would have to remove the entire deck and roof to remove the tree. Rick and his team came in and removed the tree like a surgeons. No boards were moved, not a ding, dent or scratch was made. It was absolutely unbelieveable how they did this. They cleaned up completely even blowing the saw dust from the roof, and covered the holes where the tree went through. You wouldn't even know a tree was ever growing through my deck. All of the workers were courteous, efficient and kind. They removed that huge tree, and 4 others and also planted a new tree. They completed the whole job in a few hours. Unbelievable. Do not hesitate to call Sinnott. You wont find a more professional, friendly, and accommodating company than sinnotts. I loved the tree and it was painful to see it removed, and Rick and his team were very sensitive to that, making it as painless as possible. Dont hesitate to call Sinnott, he is the best you'll find. read more

Scott C: Sinnott Tree is my first choice when it comes to tree services. A few years ago I first met Mack of Sinnott Tree and since then he has always steered me in the right direction, and has been very responsive and accommodating (thanks Mack!). Mack is a straight shooter too and has gained my trust over the years. Also, he and his crew take their work seriously and perform their work in a professional and honest manner. So far, Mack / Sinnott has removed a large tree, trimmed multiple large trees and transplanted two large 4-5" Maple trees from one side of my lot to the other side. With regards to the maples, to my surprise they both survived this past winter (they were planted in the Fall of 2013), which was one of the harshest winters on record - this was because Mack and his crew knew what they are doing during the transplant process! I like Mack/Sinnot Tree so much, that I'm trusting them with my next big tree project, which is to plant 8 Norway Spruce trees in my back yard, and throughout this latest project (planning phase) Mack as usual has been absolutely wonderful to work with Finally, Sinnott has always given me a fair price, and lots of solid tree knowledge to go with it. Thanks Mack, thanks Sinnott Tree!!! read more

Sinnott Tree Service provides excellent service in every way! I had a severely overgrown back yard, with one tree's branches hitting my roof, and several "weeds" that grew into trees over the years. Mack came out at my convenience (I have a crazy, busy schedule) on fairly short notice, gave me a fast and very fair estimate, and then scheduled the work. They were able to do the work within a week, and I did not even have to be home (which is very important to me.....did I mention my crazy, busy schedule?). On the day before the work, Mack confirmed with me, and all I needed to do was make sure my car was out of the driveway by the time they got there. They did all the work with no muss no fuss, and when I had one slight question, they took care of it immediately. Every aspect of my dealings with Mack and Sinnott Tree Service was great! From communication, to workmanship, to follow-up. I would highly recommend Sinnott Tree Service! read more

Sinnott Tree Service removed a very large tree from my neighbors backyard in which they had to use my backyard for their equipment. They also removed a tree from my backyard as well. First of all, they laid down sheets of plywood as not to leave ruts from their two trucks in my backyard. Next, they worked with extreme precision and skill as not to damage any of their immediate surroundings, for example, my garden and flower beds, my A/C unit, gutters and downspouts, and my driveway. Lastly, they did a great job of doing clean up. My backyard and driveway looked exactly the same as to when they first arrived. They also kept to their schedule and finished on time. Sinnott Tree Service is also very reasonably priced and were easily accessible for communication. I would definitely use Sinnott again, if needed, and have already recommended them to several of my neighbors. read more

I had a large dead tree in the corner of my lot. I had another tree company give me an estimate. Three months later the tree still was not taken down because there was a " delay with the energy company" since they had to turn off the power while the tree was taken down per the other tree company. After three months I called Rick Sinnott. Now the tree had partially fallen in my neighbors yard. He came that same day to give an estimate on cleaning up my neighbors yard and to take down the tree. The next day the yard was cleaned up and within three weeks the entire tree was taken down (with the power off). Rick and his team were considerate of others yards and fences and thoroughly cleaned up all branches. They had a plan before they came to minimize the neighborhood disruption and completed the job in 2 hours. Excellent job at a reasonable price. read more

I needed a 50ft maple taken down that had become a safety concern and once speaking with Rick I wouldn't have chosen another tree service. Not only did he give me a fair price I could afford but he also didn't ask for a full payment at time of service, which was one of my apprehensions of getting my tree taken down, all I did was pay half and he accepted the rest in installments . They're fully insured and my tree was cut down in only a couple of hours. They cleaned up all the debris and hauled the wood away. Even blew all the sawdust off the garage roof and the driveway with a leaf blower. Very professional and trustworthy. You don't even have to be home, which was also great. Rick went over all the details and answered any questions or concerns I had. If you're looking for affordable and trustworthy you're going to want to choose Sinnott. read more

When I called to set up a date for an estimate, I didn't hear back from them right away, they just showed up at my house to look at the tree. Fortunately, I was home when he came. However, Mack was super nice, professional and gave me a fair price on the work. He said it would take several weeks to fit me in, but a little over a week later, they called and said they could come that day. The guys doing the work really knew what they were doing, they were professional, worked hard, stopped when they needed to to get my input on certain branches and they cleaned the yard up of sticks/branches leaves, etc. They also took a blower and cleaned my roof and gutters free of branches/leaves while they are up on the lift. Would definitely hire Sinnott Tree Service again. read more

Responding promptly to every call, Mack was warm, personable, and unrushed. His crew arrived when he said it would, they performed an enormous job for a squeak under Mack's estimate and far below other estimates, and our trees disappeared with scarcely a trace. We didn't even need to be present for every promise to be fulfilled. The advice and service we received from this company were both top-notch. One tree that needed to be trimmed rather than removed was done perfectly and symmetrically without any input from us. This is no "guy with a chainsaw" operation - Sinnott has the heavy equipment to execute precision work and the business acumen to do so in a flawless manner at a fair price. read more

I had a 90 year old American Elm that had to be removed due to disease. It was a nerve-racking (for me) and difficult job due to many factors; age of the tree, the height and width of the tree, narrow access, close to the home and between 4 power lines. Sinnott was incredible. Great customer service, kept in contact with ComEd, with me, and were friendly and conscientious to my neighbors. The work was done with incredible finesse, precision, and safety. It was very clean and controlled. They cleaned all of the neighbors yards, made sure there weren't any remains of their work. If the tree wasn't gone, you wouldn't have known they were here. Fantastic Experience!! Thanks Mack!! read more

I recently contracted with Sinnott Tree Service to remove a very large tree from my yard which is adjacent to a very busy street. They did an EXCELLENT job. They worked quickly, efficiently, safely and after they had gone there was no trace of the large amount of work that had been done. They cleaned up beautifully. After I saw the amount of equipment and manpower they had used I was very surprised at the reasonableness of their price. Mack also was very informative regarding other trees in my front and back yard and what I needed to know to keep them healthy. I would DEFINITELY use them again and recommend them highly. Sinnott did a fantastic job with the work they did at our house. Mack was extremely knowledgeable and helped us pick out the perfect trees for our backyard. The crew was friendly and courteous. They were careful around our RV that was parked in the driveway, and they made sure to put back the large stones that had to be removed in order to complete the job. They also were diligent about protecting our lawn from any possible damage from their machines. Mack was able to send a crew out within 24 hours to remove a tree branch that we needed removed ASAP. We would definitely hire Sinnott again and recommend them highly. read more

Crew removed several large trees at my home, one located in a precarious spot near wires, other buildings, and difficult to access. They trimmed trees, cleaned out brush, and ground out stumps. I have also observed them working in several other yards where there were very large trees and very limited access. All members of the crews work well together, are friendly, responsive to requests, and do a thorough, professional job. They are careful about the owners property, possessions, and other landscape. I feel I was charged a fair price for the work that was done. I will definitely use Mack and his crew again! read more

This company as recommended to my by a friend. We had a very, very large dead Elm tree in the backyard that needed to be removed. One of the Sinnott Tree owners can out to give an estimate, which was quite reasonable. We set a date for the work. We were amazed at the equipment they have, especially the large crane that was used to take this tree down. Mr. Sinnott said, "we will make this tree disappear for you", and they did! Everything was cleaned up perfectly, no damage to anything, they are so efficient, such a hard working crew. Sinnott Tree Service is the best I have seen, I highly recommend them. J.E.T. read more

This was my first experience with a tree service. I called Sinnott because I had heard good things about them and had seen their trucks around. The estimate they gave me for the job was so reasonable that I didn't bother getting a second one. The job I had for them seemed tricky to me. The tree was close to a neighbor's garage and about to damage their fence. Of course there was an electrical wire running through the branches. The Sinnott workmen arrived when they said they would. The work was carried out with precision, efficiency and care. Sinnott Tree Services = Art + Science. I'm a believer. read more

I called Sinnott Tree Service for a removal quote for a dying tree in my back yard. Mac explained the tree was affected by the Emerald ash borer. Unfortunately, the tree needed to be removed. Mac gave me a very fair price quote to remove the tree, grind the stump to grade level and haul away all waste material. They arrived on time, on the scheduled day. The were very friendly and courteous. The were extremely professional and obviously very skilled at their work. The cleaned up all waste material and they were incredibly fast. I would recommend Sinnott Tree Service to anyone who needs a Tree removed. read more

Sinnott Tree Service removed a 65 foot Siberian Elm tree from my backyard. The job was quite complicated. It required a crane and cherry picker. Sinnott was very efficient and experienced. The job was finished in less than 5 hours. They also stumped and removed all the debris from the tree. Excellent clean up job!! Sinnott also offered the BEST price in my area. Most companies quoted me several grand more than them. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Mack oversaw the entire job & was very knowledgeable and personable. He answered all and any questions I had! Would definitely use Sinnott again!! read more
