Fix-Auto was on my insurance company's list of approved providers, so I took it to them. Ricardo and the whole Team were professional, communicative, kind, and fair. The work needed was more expensive than I thought it would be, but that's just how things are in our overpriced, corporate-run country. The guys did everything they could to make sure ALL the possible damage was covered by my insurance and really went the extra mile. Just this past week, my wife had a very minor incident in a parking lot that popped the front bumper assembly out and caused a very small scuff, and I asked her to take it back to the guys at Fix. Yes, the damage was very minor, but they popped things back in and added some extra backup support and didn't even charge us for it. Thanks, Fix Auto, for your fair and conscientious customer support. You will have my business in the future!

Arthur and Ricky did tons of research too on the value of my car due to the classic elements which helped get the insurance to cover the full cost of parts and repairs!!! This week my husband came in the shop for the exact same repair, and was quoted ~600. Interesting. The repair was good both times, but don't waste your money here. I won't get that extra ~200 back, but the mental image of the lady jumping out of her skin with fright as my husband caught her admitting to the overcharge is priceless. Warms my heart lol.

The bad news is that plastic deforms too much from a collision, you can't just massage it back to shape with a hair dryer. Also, who knows if anything else on the car behind the plastic is damaged or out of alignment. California Collision came to the rescue and was able to replace my bumper cover, have it painted, and then recalibration done for the various car sensors to eliminate fault codes. Even minor collisions can cause sensors to be faulty, so don't assume it's a cosmetic thing and try to cut corners and get your vehicle repaired properly. The job took a few hours one day to paint match, then a separate full day to install, recalibrate, and test drive the vehicle to ensure bo more fault codes. George was extremely friendly and transparent with the repair process. He even gave me a tour of his shop and explained the workflow. Its a family business as his son and daughter also work here. He obviously values work-life balance and is closed Friday-Sunday. Body Shops are not cheap but if you need a thorough repair and want things done right, I highly recommend California Collision. This was a very good choice. George and his staff did the grueling work of haggling with the insurance company, multiple times, over weeks. He also did an excellent job reconstructing my vehicle within the constraints of the insurance coverage. I got my adventure wagon back in good-as-new condition. Customer service and communication were excellent. About 15,000 miles later the rebuild has been tested and proven. Happy to support and rep this business.

I had a very disappointing experience with this auto repair shop. From the beginning, the customer…read moreservice representative came across as arrogant and spoke to me with a tone of superiority. Instead of making me feel like a valued customer, I felt as though I was asking for a favor rather than paying for a service. Communication was poor throughout the process, and my vehicle repair was delayed by 10 days without a satisfactory explanation. After dealing with the lack of professionalism and unnecessary delays, I contacted my insurance company and requested that my claim be transferred to a different repair facility. That decision turned out to be the right one. The new shop treated me with respect, communicated clearly, completed the repairs promptly, and provided the level of customer service I had expected from the start. I hope this shop takes customer service more seriously because treating customers with courtesy and respect is just as important as the quality of the repairs.

They told me the proper fix was a new bumper, which I'm sure is true, but when I explained that my current budget was more in the "please make this stop hanging off the car" range, they worked with me. They were clear that reattaching damaged plastic isn't the same as magically making it new again, but they didn't push me into spending more than I wanted to. They also gave me the usual list of other things my aging Civic could use, but it felt much more like a doctor saying "keep an eye on this" than a mechanic saying "your car will explode by Thursday unless you give me your credit card." That makes me much more likely to actually come back and have those things addressed later. Then I picked up the car and discovered they had CLEANED IT. Not a courtesy wipe-down. My car was gross.
