Cannot say enough good things about this bike shop. Our bikes were stolen in Phoenix last year and replacing them has been a real challenge. We found a good one used but the disk brakes seemed to make too much noise and maybe they needed some repair. Took it to Single Track and Kyle was super nice and helpful. I called and made an appointment for my sons rear shock on his downhiller. I knew it probably needed more than what they could do, but took it in anyway thinking maybe they could do something? While there I also had them change the front spring out to a lighter one, and bleed the brakes on a bike I picked up while in Flagstaff that needed the brakes bled. They called two hours later and said we were ready, when I asked about the shock they, hadn't even looked at it. When I picked the bikes up, they still hadn't looked at it. The bike they bled the brakes on for forty bucks had to be worked on the next day by another shop at Sunrise. Everything was just loose. The service and the demeanor was not good here. I will personally never go to Single Tracks again, and I hope I can save anyone else the trouble. These guys do not care about their service or making anyone happy:* *As an update I did call to discuss the problem with a manager. It was early and he was not in yet, but the staff member asked if he could help me. I expressed my displeasure with the interaction, the staff listened and very politely thanked me for taking the time to call and asked for my contact information. Kyle called me back a very short time later to discuss, and more importantly ask questions about the entire transaction. I genuinely felt like he cared, and was going to do what he could to ensure it wouldn't happen to another customer. read more

I think maybe I went to Single Track on an off day, as all the reviews prior to mine are 5-star. I think the people who work at Single Track are definitely competent and quick, however, I wouldn't describe them as friendly or knowledgeable. Maybe I was asking the wrong questions. I'm kind of newish to biking, and thinking that bike service is like car service and that you're better off taking your bike to a shop that sells your brand, I brought my Gary Fisher to Single Track for a tune-up because they deal in Trek bikes. When I walked in with my bike, I had to approach one of the guys in the shop. At other shops in town, they practically fall over themselves to say hello and ask how they can help. I felt like I was nothing but a bother to the guys in Single Track that day. I've been looking to get another bike, and I was asking some questions about the Trek bikes that they have in stock. The guy I was talking to couldn't answer a single one of my questions, which made me wonder how well he knows the bikes that he's supposed to be selling. There was another guy in there looking to buy some tires, and I overheard him asking another sales guy a question, to which he was replied, "I have no idea." This is a bike shop. Where stuff is sold that you would assume the sales people are familiar with. I feel like if you already know what you want, and you have not a single question, Single Track might be the place to go. I just don't feel like it's the place to go if you have even the most rudimentary of questions. On the upside, they finished my tune-up super fast...it was done the day after I dropped it off, and I felt that it was very reasonably priced. Most of the other shops in town seem to take a week to finish a tune-up, so I did appreciate having my bike back so quickly. read more

My 27 year old Giant bike was needing some 'rescue' work,not the least of which was having a different handle bar added so I wouldn't have to bend over so much. I was also going to get new twister type shifters, cables, and a tune up. After telling Paul that I didn't use the bike much and as an old guy just wanted to keep it going for occasional riding, he gave me an estimate of approximately $200 to do what was needed. While he was getting the estimate together I noticed a $500 Trek bike that seemed like an alternative solution for me. My wife encouraged me to just get the new one, but in the end I went for the repairs. I was never pressured to buy new (except by my wife!). When I returned to pick up my bike, Paul had figured out,based on my needs, to get the repair down to $150! In the process, he did some repairs that I hadn't even known needed to be done. Was here over the weekend visiting my daughter at NAU. Her bike was broken and I brought it in for repairs.
