I got their cinnamon roll at Whole Foods. Tasted amazing. It's great it's all vegan. However, just because it's vegan doesn't mean it's healthy. An Oreo is technically vegan. It'd be great if they made these with unrefined sugars which, in my view, are worse than animal foods when it comes to health effects. Eating whole foods in their natural state (even animal foods) I find more preferable to eating refined sugars which are responsible for so many ailments today. Recommendation: Maple syrup, raw honey, coconut sugar. These are great healthy sweeteners that are actually GOOD for you. Yes, raw honey isn't vegan but it is healthy. Maple syrup and raw honey are preferable, however, I guess coconut sugar could also be used. A gluten-free option would also be great. Also, non-GMO, and nixing the corn (maybe replacing with arrowroot powder instead which is healthy) as even non-GMO corn has adverse effects. read more

I picked up the pumpkin and cream cheese bread from Central Market for $6.49. Yes it is a rather modest little loaf and you might wonder whether it's worth the $6.49. Sure it's natural, organic, and vegan, but $7 is a bit steep for a shy little dessert bread of any kind. Seriously though - worth it. Now I concede to the possibility that my loaf probably wasn't at its freshest peak as it was sitting isolated-ly with two other loaves and couple of cookies in the pastry refrigerator. But I had read of Sinfull Bakery's vegan goodies (on Yelp actually) and despite not especially desiring desserty bread of any kind (I don't have much of a sweet tooth), I couldn't resist because who knows when the next time I'll encounter Sinfull again? Anyway, it's kind of great. Really soft, creamy bread stuff! It almost melts in your mouth, without actually being soggy. The pumpkin notes are fairly evident - the spices and fragrant pumpkin essence. The cream cheese seems like it'd be mostly decorative as shallow swirls atop the loaf, but you can actually discern a little bit of decadent vegan cream cheese fluff in the sharper pumpkin-associated flavors (I might be making that part up, by the way). I really nice balance all in all. I will admit that this is more a crumbly cake than a bread, so if that's not your thing . . . I get the feeling that this was probably fairly caloric (because it's tasty), so don't be misled that the "Sinfull" somehow ironically speaks to whether it's diet-friendly. I just bought the bakery's pecan cinnamon roll and "oh boy" that's something else out of this world! I felt guilty eating it but it's vegan ingredients. That goes to show you how much it tasted exactly like a "guilty as charged" cinnamon bun found in a regular bakery. The staff, I accidentally disturbed in the bakery were so nice and helpful and even allowed me to buy straight from their crate they were going to deliver. Grabbed baked goods from this place a couple of times from Agora, Inversion and the Rice Coffeehouse. Haven't had the chance to try some of this coveted goods but I will say, the Everything Bar is everything. I've actually been stressing-eating their cookies and this bar during finals week and I don't even feel guilty. The bar is a perfect blend of chewy, chocolate-y and wholesome. Love. Also got the dark chocolate cookie but I really didn't like it. Not sure if I just got unlucky because everyone else seems to love their cookies. My cookie was dry, tasteless and honestly one of the worst ones I've had. I LOVEEEE this place. I was in Houston for two days and had a giant list of places I wanted to try while there. I ended up going to this place 3 times instead. The people are sweet and amazing! The food is delicious and fresh. I had to spend a small fortune carting a ton of stuff home. It was just that good. The chocolate pecan pop tart was one of my favorites. Although our family has truly enjoyed all of the pastries we have ever ordered from this establishment, I will say that they need to beef up customer service! Specifically, one particular person (Morning shift 9/6/22) seems to have something cheeky and quite rude, to say in response to a simple question. Unfortunately, this has happened each time I have encountered them while patronizing this establishment. The comments have not only been rude, but suggestive of a strong bias. I let it go the first time this individual made me and my wife feel uncomfortable, but on this second occasion, I thought it only right to say something. Sinfull Bakery to the rescue! I literally made my boyfriend re-route our lunch outing today and head straight to sinful bakery so I could stock up on vegan bakery goodness before the weekend. I am already a huge fan of this company based on the Everything Bar & Cinnamon Rolls, but wanted to finally get my hands on some of the items that typically sell out quick at Urban Harvest Farmer's Market on Saturdays (since I can never manage to wake myself up early enough to get there). I picked up the Pumpkin & Cream Cheese Mini Loaf, Pumpkin Kolaches, Chocolate chip cookies, a vegetable pot pie, and of course...more cinnamon rolls. Can't leave without those cinnamon rolls. It is taking everything in my power not to finish off every last thing I purchased in one sitting. I love that all of their items are vegan so that takes the pressure out of label reading for me. The girl that helped me today when I walked in was extremely helpful and let me know what contained soy and what didn't as well as what was gluten Free. I am making a small sacrifice this weekend and eating some gluten & soy because YOLO...and because the desserts from Sinful Bakery are totally worth being a little flexible for. Several of my items had no gluten or soy though too if you are not wanting to, or can't bend in that department. So yes, I definitely 100% recommend you try some of the baked goods from this place. Specifically the cinnamon rolls...don't ever leave without taking some of those along with you. The Everything Bar & Coconut Dream Bars are amazing too--like a MUCH tastier, much healthier, soft & chewy version of a Nature Valley bar. Although I have had their desserts before, last week was the first time I had the chance to drop by their bakery. You know vegan desserts from a place are scrumptious when my carnivore sibling brags about how good their treats are. Having a few mins to spare and looking for a perfect gift to give someone, I thought to drop by. As I near the bakery, I have a hard time understanding my Google map instructions. If this happens to you, just remember that the place has a gate around it on the right side of the one-way street. This should have given me a clue that this is not a place to hang out. Good thing that I was not planning to. As I walked in, I was created by someone who asked me if I had made an order? I said no. I was advised to make a pre-order next time because they don't always have extra cookies, cinnamon buns, or muffins. I took a look at what they had, chose the items I wanted and paid my bill. Not bad at all. What I ordered were some excellent sweets; chocolate chip cookies, dark chocolate cookies, a cinnamon bun, and a pecan bran muffin. This was the first chocolate chip cookie I have had in months and it was excellent. So was the dark chocolate cookie. This was my first time eating a cinnamon bun without mucus clogging my nasal passage. Althought the muffin was the least sweet of all, I also enjoyed it's subtle taste.
