He couldn't believe what had happened to us and made it his mission to help us get our home and our peace of mind back. Chris and his crew started immediately and went above and beyond in every possible way. Since we were living in the home during construction, he built us a makeshift kitchen, secured areas without windows, and made sure we were comfortable and safe while the remodel was underway. His workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding -- he not only fulfilled our plans but added thoughtful extras, like a beautiful half bath we hadn't even imagined could fit. The primary project goal was to customize the home interiors to work better for the family living arrangement and bring more daylight into the home. The budget was fairly tight but there were lofty design and detailing goals. It was difficult to find a contractor that was interested in a project of this scale, who could deliver the level of finish expectations, and meet the clients' budget and schedule goals. We were introduced to Matan, who ended up being the perfect match for the project. Matan was thorough and transparent with his estimates in the initial budgeting stage. He carefully reviewed drawings and asked questions to make sure the design vision was being executed to a high level. He was very communicative about progress and construction issues, to ensure the project went as smoothly as possible. When unforeseen conditions were discovered, he addressed them quickly and fairly. The family moved out of the house during construction, but with young kids, they were eager to get back in as quickly as possible. Matan prepared an initial schedule and attentively managed the project to stay on track and get the family back home on time. In the end, the project was a huge success thanks to Matan and his team.

Jacob was an outstanding owner to work with. He approved everything quickly, stayed flexible, and worked with us on a payment schedule that made the process smooth and stress‑free. His communication was clear, and he made sure we always felt supported throughout the remodel. From the project manager to the foreman, to the crew and subcontractors, everyone showed up ready to deliver. Jacob's team moved fast -- gutting the kitchen, updating the wiring, and completing an impressive amount of work within the first four days. The craftsmanship was excellent, and the workflow was organized and efficient. Jacob was involved with our supplier who handled all the materials, including our new cabinets and kitchen counters. They kept everything on schedule and made the selection process easy. There was no constant back‑and‑forth, no need for us to oversee every detail. The team stayed on top of the project from beginning to end, keeping the schedule tight and the quality consistently high. Out of the companies that responded through Yelp, he came across as one of the most professional and serious about understanding the project rather than simply giving a quick estimate. He replied quickly to my questions through Yelp and was able to come out in a very reasonable timeframe to evaluate the work and discuss ideas in person. We hired Moe and the Optivest Build team for a decorative pergola/faux balcony repair and replacement project involving redwood, exterior trim work, stucco work, door jamb and casing repairs, sealing, and painting. The contract process was straightforward and I appreciated the flexibility and payment structure based on project milestones rather than everything being front-loaded. After Moe's initial site visit and evaluation, it became clear that a more comprehensive rebuild approach for most of the structure made more sense than piecemeal repairs. Moe explained the long-term benefit of rebuilding the deteriorated portions together rather than replacing isolated components now and potentially dealing with additional mobilization and repair costs again a few years later. I appreciated that he was not simply replacing wood, but also improving areas where the original design appeared to contribute to moisture issues. As the project progressed and portions were opened up, some additional weather and age-related deterioration was uncovered, which led to a few adjustments and additional repair steps along the way. Moe worked with me through options for addressing things as they were discovered and helped walk me through the process and next steps, which reduced some of the stress and uncertainty that can come with larger exterior repair projects. What stood out to me was that Moe stayed involved throughout the project, communicated with me consistently, personally came by to check on things, and had his project manager and crew return when touch-up or punch-list items needed attention. Even as the scope evolved, Moe stayed engaged throughout the project and continued working through follow-up, touch-up, and close-out items professionally. The crew was always polite and respectful of our property, worked hard throughout the project, and the project was fully cleaned up and closed out professionally at the end. No construction project is completely stress-free, but I appreciated that concerns were addressed and that the team worked to make things right when needed. In the end, the pergola turned out looking great, as did the additional trim, stucco, and repair work completed throughout the project. We are happy with the final result and would feel comfortable recommending Moe and Optivest Build to others looking for a responsive and professional contractor. Grateful to Moe and his crew for their job well done.
