We recently held a private event in Sinatra's Banquet Room to celebrate our daughter's wedding. It was a sit down dinner for 18 people. The food was excellent, the room, spectacular and the service, impeccable! We can't say enough about our super attentive waiter, Jake. He was marvelous. If I could give 4.5 I would because the only negative was the wine by the glass list. Hubs and I don't like the same kind so bottles don't work for us. It was strange walking in with no hostess stand but server came over right away. Menu was large and I love specials menus. The wine i did have was one of the best. Waiter was helpful in choosing one for the hubs too We started with the cold seafood platter. So easy to enjoy because it came all cracked and ready for us to devour. Hubs had the lasagne which was fantastic. Homemade, right amount is cheese and sauce. Loved the change up adding brasciole. I had the Palermo. Chicken and eggplant parm together. Yum!! Just had dinner there and we've been dining at Sinatra's for many years. As we've been gone from Buffalo for past six years our go to place when in Buffalo is Sinatra's. They were rude, service was average and many new faces. The owner Mike in all the tears I've been dining there barely acknowledges me. Sorry to say our last time dining here. I've been a big fan of Sinatra's, old building and new, but my last experience was less than stellar. The quality of the food was amazing, but one of orders came late, my side dish never arrived, the side orders of rigatoni came as spaghetti and no anchovies for the Caesar salad. A local took us to this restaurant and I was hesitant due to the varied reviews. The artichoke appetizer was delicious. I've never had it prepared this way and it was great. I have never had braciole before and gave it a try. The portion was huge and good. Not my type so I cannot criticize it. Just prefer other dishes. Great dessert (tiramisu). Didn't have the greatest experience. Went to Sinatra's for my daughter's college graduation. There were 12 of us. Dinners were fairly expensive. We ordered some appetizers, some wine etc. Most of us ordered Italian dishes. My husband, however ordered lamb chops. When they came out, they were awful. The bone was so huge, there was very little meat. Mind you, they were $40. We complained to the "manager" or so I think he was, and he was very argumentative stating that no one ever complains about the lamb. Telling my husband that that's just the way they are........With a huge bone. Needless to say, we were very upset by his attitude. I give this restaurant a 1 star only because of the way we were treated by the hostess ( a lady with glasses don't know her name). I had called the restaurant last night to make reservations for two and a baby. I had spoke to the same hostess who greeted us at the door when we got there and specifically mentioned that I am bringing a baby stroller to the restaurant, which she said will be accommodating us for and she can remove one of the chairs from the table so we can replace it with the stroller. Upon arrival she tells us she only has the bar area open and the patio which is enclosed. Mind you it's 34F degrees outside and there were empty tables in the restaurant. My husband and I walk to the patio area and it's freezing cold! I mentioned to her that it's too cold and won't work out plus I have a 4 month baby!!!!!!!! She continued to say I can turn on the heater and I'm just looking at her in awe. Did she not get that I have a baby who is only 4 months old?!?!?!?! She seemed like she just wanted us to be out in the cold with the baby (to not make noise in the restaurant) while other people are inside enjoying their meal in a warm atmosphere ! I got very upset the way we were treated and I nicely told her that we called to make the reservations to ensure you guys will accommodate us for the stroller and you agreed to it. She started to give me her attitude and she looked at the table and moved one of the chairs and said yes I am. I was shocked by her reaction then she finally says I have a table in the front of the restaurant would you like to take that one? I nicely said yes. By far I never had the worst experience in a restaurant like this before especially with a hostess who was trying to exclude us out from the restaurant and to sit outside in the cold with a 4 month baby to ensure that my baby won't make any noise! However, my baby was so quiet that night and didn't even make any noise while we were there eating. Never again will I ever come back because of the way we were treated by this hostess!!!!! Sadly, much of what made the original location truly stand out has been lost with the new space. While the old place had decent Italian food, what it had in spades was charm. The bar was intimate, almost from a movie set, the patrons looked the part, and the bartenders were welcoming and droll. I always looked forward to a glass of wine at the bar before our meal, just to soak in the vibe. The old dining room was crowded, but in a good way. While the food was always pretty good, you always got a large helping of obviously home cooked food. The new place has lost much of this. There's nothing particularly bad about the new place, but nothing particularly notable either. The bar and dining room, while nicely appointed, could just as well be from a new-ish strip mall restaurant in Dallas/West Palm/Any Other Sprawling City. On the plus side, the staff was hospitable and on par with what one came to expect at the old place. The food was just ok, honestly on par with Olive Garden, with noticeably smaller portions. I had the eggplant parmesan - just meh. The prices seemed inflated compared to the quality and quantity of food received. This is Italian food, after all - it's not supposed to be exotic or expensive. Cucina povera and all that. I'm sad to see how the new place has turned out - it's Sinatra's in name only. We really lost an irreplaceable gem when they turned the old place into a parking lot. I wouldn't be surprised if the restaurant is closed in 5 years or contracted out to another vendor (unless it already is). read more

If you haven't been here you need to go!! Perfection!!! the bread service is incredible with this chilled marinara. Server was amazing. Cocktails chilled were delish. Carpaccio was amazing. They gave you salad with the house Italian and crumbly blue. Yum!! I got the mushroom filled pasta with creamy blue cheese sauce. It was perfection!! Who wants to read a long, boring review of anything, let alone a restaurant. For this reason I will keep this short. We arrived at 9PM and were in a seated at a table by 9:05PM. Our server was on the spot and attentive to our needs. Ambiance was very good as was the decor. I went with arancini, the caesar salad, and the veal chop. Arancini, excellent, extra credit for the red sauce. The Caesar was one of the best ever, and very well portioned. The veal chops were huge, delicious and cooked perfectly to medium. You can tell attention and care goes into everything. This is incredible Italian, and probably the best chop I have ever had. read more

This Has to be the worst ever restaurant your help is terrible the service is terrible, Your help has a terrible attitude we had a waitress named Jessica who is a joke I asked for a sharper knife because I couldn't cut the SALAD!!!and she says to me well if you insist but they're all the same needless to say I didn't get another knife my salad was horrible, I had the roots of the salad in it it was hard it was tough and it was all rusted!! The friend with us a paid his bill was $100 bill and his bill was $48.56 and she gives him back a $50 bill and he says that's not the right amount and if she says we don't have anything smaller I think the police should be taking a little trip over there and check it out how many people they screwed out of the money, I would not recommend this ever and I used to love Sinatra's but since they've hired people,who have no respect for their customers I do not recommend this restaurant because the food is gone way downhill and so has the service!!!!! read more

Very disappointing dinner experience. First of all acoustics in this restaurant are awful. Atmospheres is very loud and difficult to have a conversation with other guests at your table. My wife's eggplant Parmesan was served cold and undercooked. It was returned to the kitchen and brought back out when the rest of us were almost done with our meal. They asked if we wanted to take it home. We politely declined. We did not spend $200 to do take out. My shrimp/lobster scampi was a sticky mess with tiny pieces of lobster. Also, hardly any shrimp in this dish. Another guest had a pasta dish that was supposed to contain meat in it. Guess what? There was hardly any meat in the dish! We sat at the table with dirty dishes for twenty minutes. The server apologized saying that he had to bus his own tables. The male hostess was rude to my wife when inquiring about her botched meal. He asked if she wanted to take it home. When she said no, he abruptly walked away. No apology so why pretend that you cared? Very disappointing evening to say the least. My husband and I couldn't wait to try the new Sinatra's. We had heard mixed reviews from our friends but had to try it ourselves. We were not disappointed. First of all the restaurant is beautiful. It was a little crowded and loud but not surprising for a Saturday night. We had stuffed mushrooms and calamari for appetizers and both were delicious! I ordered the lasagna and my husband had the bracciole. Our entrees were both very good. Their drink special "The Sinatra" was also very good. We were too stuffed from our appetizers and entrees to have dessert but we will definitely be back! The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 was because our waiter took a little while before he came to take our order and he we felt he wasn't really interested in telling us the specials. read more

Our reservations were for 7:30. Took 5 minutes to find host/hostess. Was seated 20 minutes later without an apology or drink at the bar. Would have set the bar for customer service. Dinner was okay, not great like I remembered from years ago. Took at least 30 minutes and then...All of our entree's were served to the wrong people. So between the runners and ourselves, changing plates. Not professional upscale restaurant. Then we decided to order dessert. Shame on us. We ordered Creme brûlée, cannoli and cake. All made ahead of time. Why did it take them 25 minutes to bring dessert. Again no apologies. Noise level was terrible. For an "upscale" restaurant, there are many more excellent restaurants in Buffalo with great service, and not in an area that is off a main drag. Will not go back. My two star rating is because the food is quite good, if you can actually get what you'd like off the menu. Sinatra's had been a family favorite, and we'd been going at least a couple of times a month for about 10 years. The servers knew our family, and what our food and drink orders would likely be. Sadly, once they moved across the street, things changed. We first tried the new location after they'd been there about two weeks. We came in at about 6 o'clock on a Sunday night, which was our usual night to go there. They were already out of several of our favorites. :( We were told they were still getting used to the larger numbers of guests, and how they should be ordering/preparing. While we were disappointed, that seemed reasonable and we thought we'd wait awhile before trying them again. We waited a couple of months before going back. I made a reservation for Father's Day at 6:30. We arrived on time, and were seated promptly. Our party of seven was looking over the menu, making our choices, when our waiter appeared to take our drink order and informed us that they were "out of ALL seafood, and meatballs". What?! As our favorite dishes, the ones we specifically are looking for when we choose to eat there, are all seafood dishes or pasta with meatballs, this was a huge disappointment. My mother can't have gluten, so she was planning on shrimp scampi with gluten free pasta. Obviously, the choices became very limited, and we certainly weren't looking for a steak dinner when we chose to make a reservation here. It was baffling to us that at 6:30 on Father's Day, they were already out of a huge part of their regular menu items. As I mentioned, we were regulars, so this was beyond disappointing that literally NONE of the items we normally look forward to having were available. Through Open Table, we found another upscale dining option that was close by, and we enjoyed our Father's Day meal there. I will sadly miss Sinatra's. Maybe at some point in time we will try it again, but not anytime soon. Fortunately, there are many other fabulous options for Italian food around WNY. read more

My third trip to Sinatra's, so I must like it...or I keep giving it a chance. Sunday night and the place was packed. Now I know I'm picky, but no one welcomes you to Sinatra's except a large commercial coat rack as you walk in. After a few minutes someone, a waitress or busser, shows us to our table in the corner. The conversation level is fairly loud, and the decor is dated. We needed to change out a chair before it fell apart. The night's trouble started when we tried to order. My wife mouth was watering for Osso Bucco, which they were out of. Then our table mates wanted linguini and the other wanted penni. "Sorry, the everything is cooked to order so the kitchen rules are everyone gets the same pasta." That's a new one for me. I've eaten in Italy at least a 100 times, and everything is cooked to order and no one -- not even Mussolini-- ever dictated the type of pasta I must have. "Not my rule, the kitchen's rules," said the waitress. It goes downhill from here. The calamari sounded good, but was swimming in a puttanesca sauce. Tasty, but I didn't realize it was in that sauce, since I also order spaghetti and puttanesca sauce. (No heads up from the waitress that I just ordered two similar dishes.) We waited then nearly 45 minutes for our salads. The table next to us had sat down after us, but they were now finishing desserts. We were still waiting for salads. We are 1-1/2 hours into the meal, still looking for a little lettuce. Of course the entrees came out nearly on top of the salads. Food quality and taste ok, but a bit heavy on the red sauce and pepper. Shrimps were excellent. And my pasta? It was linguini, not spaghetti. But the waitress made sure to tell us, that she negotiated with the kitchen and got my companions the penni and linguini they wanted. (Maybe we send her to North Korea for her negotiating skills.) 2 appetizers, 1 bottle of wine, 4 entrees, 2 coffees, no dessert, $200. The restaurant is pricey, and the service and decor need a upgrade. ($6.50 for a scoop of gelato. They must fly it in from Roma.) The place obviously appeals to a lot of Buffalonians. Looking at the reviews and my experience it seems a bit uneven for a great restaurant. It's OK and that's why I gave it 3 stars. read more

O.M.G. Went here last weekend with the bf's family and had one of the best Italian meals of my life! No joke! First, we started at the bar. Apparently Lenny, the 'tender, has been there forever and he is a staple to the experience! I highly recommend grabbing a drink and chatting it up with him before being seated. He has seen EVERYTHING and he'll tell you all about it as you sit back, drink your bubbly and relax to some Ratpack music in the background. At dinner, I ordered the chicken parmigiana, which was seriously the best chicken parm I've had in my life!! The cutlets were perfectly crisp and seasoned, the red sauce was perfect, and the cheese was AMAZING! Every bite was seriously heaven--I wanted to expand my belly just to finish the hefty plate! Looking around, it appeared that the other people at my table were enjoying their meals too, so much so that they probably didn't wanna share! This place was hoppin' last night. There were couples, small groups, and large groups seated at the 20 or so tables. There were old people and young people and lots of those (of us) in between. We had a reservation for 7:30 and weren't seated until 8:00, but I hardly minded because the stools at the bar were so darn comfy. I was a tad disappointed that the bartender didn't know how to make a "Bellini" (it is an Italian drink after all.... hailing from Venice), but my "Cosmo" was good enough. Two of us were eventually seated at a cozy table by the wall, but in the middle of the action. We decided to each have a glass of "Baby Amarone" with dinner (foregoing our usual bottle due to the cocktails at the bar) and honestly it was a bit disappointing. It was really very "muddy". Oh well...onto the food. We shared the arancini appetizer. Man, those rice balls were THE BEST I've ever had! There were three on the plate topped with mighty good sauce and basil. I loved the olives and peppers inside with the ground beef. I could have easily made a meal of half a dozen of those babies! Next we shared the Sicilian Olive Salad. I was originally confused because two bowls were brought and they were both of good size and I wanted to made sure we were sharing one salad and not getting two.... which we were. The salad which had many different sliced olives, celery, and onions and which was drizzled with balsamic vinegar was FANTASTIC! Especially when accompanied with the hearty Italian bread that was brought to the table (a bit late, but it did eventually arrive). For entrees I had the ravioli and meatballs and my date had the lasagna. My ravioli was so-so and the sauce was a bit on the weak side. I wish those pasta pockets were topped with the same sauce that was on the arancini. The meatballs were terrific though. I think the meat was ground twice. They were so tender and delicate (a strange way to describe meatballs, I know). My friend's lasagna was described as WONDERFUL. Layered with lots of pasta, ricotta cheese, and braciole (VERY UNUSUAL), it was hearty and flavorful. And, nearly half was brought home for another meal.... and this guy's a big eater! For dessert we shared a slice of cassata cake. Now I LOVE cassata cake and you rarely see it on the menu anywhere... so I was delighted that it was available. It was just okay. The filling and (REAL) whipped cream on the side were pretty darn good, but the cake itself was rather tasteless. And, the chocolate and raspberry sauces drizzled on the plate were more of a distraction than a compliment. read more

8/10/18 Food tastes great, however side dish portions are small, Clams Casino a little bigger than a quarter, Chicken Picatta, no better or worse than local pizzerias, Lack luster service, Waiter did not even look our way to see or ask if we needed anything, multiple times. I love their food, unlike most Italian restaurants this is one place I feel like I couldn't make the what I am ordering. So I am okay paying more then Olive Garden. I agree with some of the other reviews that their atmosphere doesn't fit the quality of their food and it could use a facelift. But in a way the atmosphere is kinda what gives Sinatra's its charm and real italian feel. It seems like the many older Italians that are in the restaurant have been going there for decades and would be up in arms if the place was updated. The bathroom however I feel they have no excuse for, it felt and looked as dirty as a gas station bathroom, and there is no heat so it is 0 degrees while you go to the bathroom. I'd be fine with it if I was at a fast food place but when I am spending so much I need to use the bathroom in style! read more

I went to Sinatras for first time last night and was blown away by the food and the service. It is authentic and fresh and executed perfectly. Table shared Fava beans, escarole, calamari, carpaccio and were all top shelf. Had special of pasta bolognese which was the best I have ever had. I could not recommend more for the best Italian food in the area. As for the people who complain about waiting for food, what's the fucking hurry. As for people who complain about bathroom, ask to see kitchen it's spotless. My advice is ignore anyone who gives this place 3 starts, they don't know what the fuck they are talking about! read more

Honestly the BEST Italian restaurant I've ever been to. I've lived in San Fran & eaten in little Italy & traveled all over this country. This restaurant was amazing. We loved the gorgonzola stuffed banana pepper & the artichoke appetizers. The veal chops were huge, delicious & cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the frangelica creme bruele & taramasue. Both were just perfect not too sweet & as tasty as any I've ever had in my life. Who knew this hidden gem was right in my backyard in little old Kenmore, NY. We will be back again & again. On the plus side, the braciole is excellent. I had the lasagna which is layered with braciole so had the best of both worlds. We tried the stuffed banana peppers because of all the positive comments and they were so hot we couldn't finish them. Thank God the bread was handy! On the negative, the tables are really tight and the acoustics are so bad you could hardly carry on a conversation. Romantic? I think not. The service too was a negative. Our waitress was very nice and competent but everything came just a little late. I noticed several other tables checking their watches too. Would I go again? Their food and service have been consistent for years and Lenny is the best bartender between Chicago and Manhattan. The Artichokes Francaise app is a slice of heaven. Very nice place for a special occasion. Appetizers were plentiful and very tasty. We had shrimp and stuffed hot banana peppers. Salads were good and homemade dressing was delicious. Main courses we order chicken parm, house sauce with meatballs with ziti, lasagna and chicken Marsala. All meals were very good and plates were large. Pasta could have been a little hotter. That said everyone had leftovers and were happy to take them home. Waitress was polite and very attentive. Solid 3 1/2 stars. If pasta was hotter an easy 4 star. Went here tonight for my birthday dinner and was so happy with the choice. We had never been to the old location but was told how good the food was. We received a gift certificate a little over a year ago so we decided to wait until the new location opened. It is really beautiful inside but a little loud when full. We went to the bar to wait until our table was ready and had a couple of sangrias that were very good. Once seated at the table we ordered the Artichoke Francese which was delicious. The sauce was so light and the fry on the artichokes was also a lighter tasting bite. We were looking at a few different items on the menu so we decided to split two entrees...Chicken Palermo and Seafood ala Sinatra. The Palermo was tasty with chicken and eggplant. The side of pasta was cooked perfectly. As for the Seafood ala Sinatra...it was phenomenal. There was an abundance of seafood which was great since we split the meal...all the seafood tasted fresh and it was cooked very well....be ready to take home some left overs. We then split a piece of Cassata Cake for dessert. I'm not a cake person but it was moist and the best part was the cannoli filling in the middle. We loved it and will definitely be back. well, finally tried this restaurant last weekend. I love old time italian and this place did not disappoint. It reminded me of rose lands, cappelinis, mulberry? Took my mom for her bday along with grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. It was a bit different from last year's celebration at lombardos..so that said,these two italian restaurants are in different genres. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and comfortable-old plates and pictures on the wall. There are two dining areas-one in the bar and another separated by a wall-yet still with the same comfortable atmosphere. reservations were effortless..had to change time and add people. wait staff(I think barb) attentive and knowledgable. seating very comfortable.service time excellent. So, why only 3 stars???? Basically the food. Although everything was ok, it didn't stand out. The pasta eaters noted that the pasta was too al dente. My halibut was good, but not wonderful. I ordered the vegetable accompany and it 3 thick slices of zucchini-not quite grilled. The desserts were ok. taramisu and cannelloni were served with a whipped cream like side. Came here a couple years ago and was treated really poorly, heard people gossiping at the counter, unprofessional. After no one came up to us at the host counter we walked a bit further inside And a worker said "can we help you" in a rude way when my friend and I entered. It was as if we walked into the wrong place and they didn't know why were there. It was very unwelcoming. I asked for a table and they seemed irritated or shocked. I feel as though we were treated poorly because we were not dressed in expensive attire and because we were younger, perhaps they thought we couldn't afford their food. We just wanted to have a nice meal together. The food was okay but nothing to rave over and certainly was not worth it. Sinatra's has been a weekly stop for me for years! I have never had a bad meal! Actually I have had nothing but a fantastic meal in the dozens and dozens of times I have been here. The lasagna is fantastic, the strip steak is superb, and the halibut over white bean and escarole stew is to die for. Make sure to stop and gather at the bar for a drink before dinner. We show up and the bar is mostly reserved by the owner, probably for his clients. The hostess was very rude. Have always heard how good this place was .... And tonight confirmed it! The ambience was there- love the "Vibe" of this place! Food was delish! We didn't over order - just did dinner & desserts- and all was delish . I had the braciole with a side of zucchini and it was amazing! Salad was perfect! We diddesserts - tiramisu & cassata cake which were served with beautiful fresh fruit on the plates! Will definitely come back here!! read more
