    $34 per drink?

Sinaloa Cafe seriously look at your check when dining here, mistakes made often in their favor. We used to love this place, this last visit was embarrassing as we took family with us and said how good they are. Unfortunately, the waitress we had was really out of it, could barely get water to the table after asking for almost 20mins, my poor mom had a hard time bc there was nothing to drink with the salsa and chips, the waitress just didn't care, the food was mediocre this time and we got charged $68 for two double vodka sodas. $34 per drink????!!

Margarita review only! House margaritas were some of the worst we've ever had (and I have a room with ~400 bottles of tequila at my house). Rot gut Torada tequila that's $13 a liter, but a 7-8 oz margarita is $15?? On the tequilamatchmaker app, it gets 32/100! The worst rating I've ever seen!! At least get Hornitos or something.... You should be embarrassed.

Great Mexican restaurant right in the heart of Morgan Hill's downtown area. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There are both inside and outside dining, as well as a full bar with great drinks. I had the steak fajitas and they were very good with large portions. You will not leave hungry.

    Combination Salad

I've been here several times and most of the time the food is good, but typical. But not today. I ordered the combination salad and it was SO GOOD! One of the best salads I've had in a long time. Although expensive, the prawns were cooked perfectly with just a perfect amount of "blackening". The asparagus we're grilled to perfection. The greens were crispy and fluffy and fresh. But the part that elevated this salad was the hearts of palm. Excellent service! The waitress actually suggested the salad. She was friendly and engaging. The ambiance, ehh. Not bad, but it does have that "older building" feel to it.

We enjoyed dinner at the bar with friends last Friday night. Brian Ward was playing our favorite tunes. The Carnitas plate with black beans and a Cadillac Margarita was a very tasty treat. Fernando and Rich are favorite bartenders in Morgan Hill.

Delicious food, that is authentically made. Excellent friendly service and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Great place to have a Michelada and some lunch!

I had a great lunch here. The service was great and this is one of the few places that still give you chips and salsa complementary. I would come back just to have their amazing chile verde sauce again. I had it on my chile relleno and enchilada. It was delicious! They have a parking lot next door. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well.

The food is a bit pricey. Excellent Margaritas! The first basket of chips/salsa is complementary.

We had a nice lunch on the patio. The chili verde and red salsa was very good. The rice and beans had good flavor.

It's locally family-owned and operated, and you can absolutely feel that welcoming, community energy the second you walk in. They've got a solid lineup of beers on tap with some house staples (Farmer Nelson IPA is my personal go-to) plus rotating options that keep things interesting -- we especially love the seasonal sours. They also have sodas and chips, plus their own craft root beer, which is a fun touch. There's always a food truck parked outside (except Mondays), and we've consistently had great meals to go with our drinks. The space itself is a win: bar seating with purse hooks, several large indoor tables, and a large outdoor patio. Inside you'll find two pool tables, shuffleboard, a video game area and board games. Outside there's ping pong, which makes it extra fun for groups and kids. They also have large restrooms with baby changing tables.

They even let us bring in pizza from down the street to enjoy with our drinks. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside, plus a cozy little couch area to hang out. In the back, they have a couple of pool tables if you want something to do while you sip. They're definitely dog‑friendly, too. One of the coolest touches is the artwork on the ceiling, inspired by the owner's favorite record albums. They were setting up the stage for live music while we were there, unfortunately, we had to leave before the show started. They host a lot of events, including food trucks, which is always a bonus. Their beer selection is wide, and they offer samples so you can find the right fit. I tried the Farmer Nelson Hazy IPA and really enjoyed it. Their pours come in UK pint sizes (20 oz), which is a nice surprise. My wife had the Go Nuts Cream Ale and loved her pick as well.

We started with Sangria (both red and white) and tho I like the white a bit more, both are really good. We also had the "a little bit of both" share charcuterie, and that was much more than expected! Not fancy, but 2 cheeses, 2 meats, assorted nuts, olives (have pits be safe!) and grapes with a few slices of a nice crusty bread and these really good large cracker type bread that was just perfect to have with our sangrias. We sat outside while a great local band played, the heaters were perfectly warm, nice string lights, and a good atmosphere. We also ordered a coffee and a beer later on, but I forget what kind of beer. Was good, I just don't recall the beer or ale. Staff was pretty attentive most of the time. The reason for not 5 stars: while I was in the industry for almost 50 years, our server seemed to get bored with us at some point and we had to flag her down. It was busy so I understand but the attitude changed a bit. Also, we wanted an item on the menu from The website and it wasn't available as the website wasn't updated. Minor issue, but the server seemed annoyed. Next time I keep the menus so that doesn't happen again. Still, totally worth the visit and since I live in the area now I would love to become a regular! Next time I want to try the flatbread

We were promptly attended to by both Cristina and Melanie, who provided us with the menu and shared some background about Vera. The dining area was bright, clean, and spacious, and the menu was simple and easy to read. I ordered a glass of Sarah's Vineyard Pinot Noir, while my daughter chose a Winter Four drink. Our meals arrived promptly. I enjoyed the Yuku Salmon Bowl, which was delightful and refreshingly fresh--I cleaned my plate! My daughter had the appetizing Ahi Tuna & Saba Noodle Bowl. We concluded our meal with Profiteroles, which were bite-sized caramelized puff pastries with the perfect amount of sweetness. Complimentary, custom-made flower arrangements were beautifully crafted by Dani, who helped make our dining experience at Vera memorable. I would like to give compliments and a shout-out to Cristina, Melanie, and Dani for their excellent service. Overall, I highly recommend Vera Restaurant as a must-visit eatery.
