I absolutely love LOVE L-O-V-E Las Isabellas & happily drive here from San Jose just for their AGUAS FRESCAS which are made-to-order FRESH on-site WHEN YOU ORDER THEM!!! The best part is there's NO added sugar!!! Quite literally THE BEST AUGUAS FRESCAS EVER! Their food is delicious & authentic Mexican cuisine. I'm in love w/their enchiladas rojas. They also have super tasty chips & salsa! Las Isabellas is a family owned & run so sometimes service can be a little slow if they are short-handed. (Once my cheese enchiladas were not fully cooked due to be a bit short-staffed in the kitchen, and for me while I was saddened like a little kid, it wasn't the end of the world. ) Definitely recommend you make the drive out to Las Isabellas!! read more

Delicious food and very nice people. We both ordered the chile verde plates with pork smothered in sauce, rice, beans and salad. It comes with either corn or flour tortillas and we had DELICIOUS flour tortillas. So fresh. The salsa is very good, too. Not super hot, but very tasty. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered to go because needed to get to an event in the area and stopped by here because burritos are usually pretty quick to make / saw it had good reviews. I ordered a super burrito with lengua. The meat was cooked well and for the price of approx. 11 dollars per burrito I think it's very worth! They give a generous amount of avocado and don't overload with rice and beans. It came with chips and salsa. The salsa has good flavor and was probably mild level of spicy. Service was very quick! I heard this place was family owned and local so I wanted to try. They let me choose my own seating and were prompt. Their customer service was great. Ambiance was fine. Their prices are pretty amazing and competitive. They were so accommodating towards my baby's plate. My enchiladas were good. I was so impressed with their serving of food. There is parking in the back. The only thing I didn't like/ appreciate is that they gave my baby a lollipop without asking me for permission. Other than that, give this place a try. read more

Really good agua frescas but the chips were stale and the food was ok but not great and not super authentic or fresh and the corn tortillas were very poor quality and not handmade. Came here for dinner tonight on a recommendation from a friend. We were warmly greeted and told to sit wherever we liked. Once we sat down we were brought menus and complimentary chips and salsa, which were very good. This is a small mom and pop, family run restaurant. Everyone there was so friendly. And the inside of the restaurant was very clean. We were offered ice cold water which we appreciated, since it was so hot outside. My husband ordered the chili Colorado plate and I ordered a shrimp super burrito. Our food came out fairly quickly. The portions of the food were very generous. My husband loved the chili Colorado. He said it was the best he ever had and that is was very authentic and spicy. My burrito was huge. It was stuffed with beans, rice, shrimp, sour cream, guacamole, Pico de gallo and cheese. Every bite I took had shrimp in it. The only negative was that the shrimp was over cooked. That being said, that wouldn't stop me from coming back and trying something else. Besides the extremely chewy shrimp, the burrito had excellent flavor. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced. We will definitely return to try different things. read more

This place is not a great place and I have no clue how it has 4 star reviews. First I must say the chips looked like they came out of a bag and the salsa was bland. Should have left at that but I stayed to try the place. I was on a business trip and ordered the carnitas dinner which said it came with a side salad. Little did I know it came on the plate with hot food. I had asked she bring it with Ranch for dressing. These carnitas is nothing I've ever seen before. Sliced pork roast is basically what I got. The rice was dry and not good and the beans had no flavor. The price of the food was $16. The other plate ordered was enchiladas and they said the sauce was not good either. Do not waste your money at this place. Then as we were leaving I look at my texts and see that the other guest with me had seen the cook picking his nose when we walked in. Steady stream of dine-in customers and take-out orders on a Sunday mid-afternoon during both our visits in late-August and mid-July. As soon as we sat down, fresh salsa (medium+ spicy) and chips were placed on our table. Super burrito 5/5: overall flavorful and filling On this most recent visit, the carne asada had some very fatty and chewy bits (~10%). During our first visit (mid-July), DH and I thought the carne asada (beef) was a bit salty. Menudo 4/5: offal (tripe and tendon) stew. Flavorful with a bit of 'funk'. Adding the provided dried oregano and raw onions slightly reduced the 'funk'. Pollo con Mole Rojo 3/5: Chicken smothered in a thick red mole sauce Fall-off-the-bone stewed chicken in a tomato based mole sauce (included 3 chicken wings with tips and a quarter piece of bone-in breast meat). Mole tasted one note, perhaps needed some spices to elevate flavor. Horchata 5/5: tasty and refreshing on a hot summer day. Other aqua frescas available and look forward to trying other flavors. I love when I find awesome little taquerias and this one is a gem. The atmosphere is great. It's nice, clean, and pleasant. The service is great. The waitress who served us was pleasant and on top of things. Most importantly, the food is really great. We will start with the chips and salsa. Ok, the salsa can use some kick. They do have a bottle of Tapatio on the tables so I would recommend spicing it up a bit. As far as the chips go, I'm not sure if they are freshly made or store bought. I AM sure that they are unique and delicious. My wife and I ordered an Al Pastor soft taco, a carnitas soft taco, a Carne Asada Quesadilla, and a Carne Asada burrito. The portions were substantial, the prices very reasonable, and the taste was very yummy. The tacos alone will fill you up. Anyway, I will be in that area more often these days and when I am, this will be my go to taqueria from here on out. Well done! UPDATE We went again today. Still outstanding, pretty much. My wife got the fish tacos and she wasn't thrilled with them because she was expecting them to be breaded. I count that as a personal preference and won't hold it against the restaurant. I had the outstanding Carne Asada quesadillas and also the carnitas soft tacos (oh yea baby)! I don't know what kind of voodoo magic they do in the kitchen but the results are out of this world! If we had to rate the meats so far, we'd rate them: 1-Carnitas 2-Al Pastor 3-Carne Asada 4-Fish (in the tacos) The first three are essentially tied. They are all very very good. The fish in the tacos has a bit more distance between it and the 1-3 rankings. I don't know why there aren't lines out the door at this place! Try it. Not sure what has taken me so long to try this place. To be honest, I thought it was a grab and go taqueria. I even have a friend that lives in Santa Clara that swears by it, yet I still didn't try it or ask my friend any questions...just kept assuming it was something it wasn't. Anywho, I just tried it for the first time. It was everything I didn't think it was going to be. Ha! It's a sit down restaurant. I went with three other people and all of us would go back again. I had the vegetarian burrito, no sour cream and added extra cheese. The burrito was large (not huge), but my first thought was "there is no way I'll finish this whole thing in one sitting". I took the foil off, cut it in half and took a bite. My first thought was "oh wow...this is delicious". I devoured the first half and to my surprise...I ate the second half as well. It was so freaking good!!! I want to go back and get it again! The enchiladas (green sauce) also looked tasty as well. The service was awesome! The place was clean! And the prices were very fair! I'll be back and this could very well be a restaurant that ends up in my "local rotation". Extra parking in the back was easy!! read more

Chips and salsa brought right away w the menus. Nice cold and tasty salsa, good chips w no salt. I ordered a chevela & he got a michelada, both w Negra Modelo and they came nice & cold. We shared the plate of Chili Colorado, great portion and meat was very tender. Service was timely and everyone was pleasant. Games were on but not too loud. Felt like getting some authentic Mexican food for lunch. This place had great reviews so we thought we could check it out. The parking is out back. The restaurant itself is not very big, but they have good amount of seating. We went around 2ish, there were only few people. Seemed like they were popular with takeouts. Their menu had a lot of different options. We ordered the lunch special enchiladas and the fajitas mixtas. There was soo much meat and shrimp in it, it was amazing! It was so filling, we had to take it to go. For drinks, we ordered mango and horchata, those were pretty good too. The service is pretty fast, and everything is fresh. The quantity of food was great, and the price was even better! Very reasonable for such high quality or food. It was very authentic, and definitely seemed like a healthy option. read more

Las Isabelas is a small family-operated restaurant with spacious, indoor seating. Parking is available in a front and side lot. Clean interior with tables of four that can be re-arranged for larger parties, there's also a few spots available for counter seating. Two TVs were on showing the latest novellas. We had early lunch, they serve breakfast also, of: Chicken Mole, Garlic Sautéed Shrimp, two Regular Horchatas (they also serve blended fruit smoothies), and complimentary premises-made Tortilla Chips and Salsa. Each entree comes with beans, rice, and corn or flour tortillas. The food was basic family-style comfort food that satisfies you but won't Wow you. La comida reminded me of lunches I would have at a friend's house, comforting and simple and a lot of it. We ate all of the garlic shrimp and half the Shredded Chicken Mole (usually comes in larger pieces but the kitchen only had shredded chicken at the time) which we boxed for home. Las Isabelas is one of the family run gems off the 101 in Morgan Hill that we found with the help of the great reviews from fellow Yelpers. Ambiance isn't anything fancy, but clean and homey with TVs blaring spanish football and music. Service is welcoming and helpful. The food is why you really want to come here. We have been here twice, and the portions are generous, well seasoned and delicious. They bring out complimentary chips with perfectly spicy salsa, after they seat you. We've ordered the following, but only have pictures of a few before we dove in. Lunch specials - pollo taco plate and shredded chicken enchiladas were more like dinner size, with beans, rice and fresh onions and cilantro and they were delicious. Wet burrito - carnitas were delicious with lots of tender and juicy pork. Regular burrito - was also stuffed with juicy carne asada, rice and beans. Las Isables is true hidden gem in Morgan Hill. If you're craving Mexican food and find yourself hungry, I highly recommended paying a visit to this charming family-owned restaurant/taqueria. Las Isables provides ample seating with dine in service for people who prefer to sit down and enjoy their meal instead of taking it to-go. The food they serve here is nothing short of delicious. I've tried numerous items on their menu and I've yet to be disappointed. Some of my favorite things to order are their super nachos (it really is super, fully loaded with a mountain of delicious meat of your choice), their chile relleno plate and wet burrito (I kid you not, the last time I ordered this burrito it was the size of a football). I recently ordered the shrimp a la diabla plate and immediately going to add this into my rotation. The diabla sauce was soooo good and spicy! Truly, one of the best things about this place is their generous portions. They genuinely understand the meaning of satisfyingly meal and the prices here are incredibly reasonable, especially in this day and age where a simple super burrito can set you back almost $20. Really tasty sauces and freshly prepared! I got the red mole and the heat was no joke. Love the tanginess from the tomatillo. The cubes of meat were so tender. This might seem inconsequential but it's not, their chips and salsa were delicious. Crunchy and not stale at all, and the salsa was not weirdly watery like it is in so many other places.
