    Mojara was delicious

Great food, awesome service. Had the Mojara and enchiladas de mole. Both were delicious. The aguas frescas are a must try too.

I heard this place was family owned and local so I wanted to try. They let me choose my own seating and were prompt. Their customer service was great. Ambiance was fine. Their prices are pretty amazing and competitive. They were so accommodating towards my baby's plate. My enchiladas were good. I was so impressed with their serving of food. There is parking in the back. The only thing I didn't like/ appreciate is that they gave my baby a lollipop without asking me for permission. Other than that, give this place a try.

Delicious!! Great portions, fast friendly service. The restaurant was clean as was the restroom. The food was so good different from other Mexican restaurants I've tried.

My family love this place, esp their wet burritos. I like their lunch deals which are just $9.95 and it includes a can of soda. They have generous portions. The staff is nice and the restaurant is spacious and clean. I see there's negative comments on the chips and salsa, but it's free so what more can I say on it.

We stop by this place for dinner on a trip to Morgan hill. This quiet Mexican restaurant seems operated from family business. The shrimp taco is very flavorful, so does the bean. The serving lady is very friendly.

Came here for dinner tonight on a recommendation from a friend. We were warmly greeted and told to sit wherever we liked. Once we sat down we were brought menus and complimentary chips and salsa, which were very good. This is a small mom and pop, family run restaurant. Everyone there was so friendly. And the inside of the restaurant was very clean. We were offered ice cold water which we appreciated, since it was so hot outside. My husband ordered the chili Colorado plate and I ordered a shrimp super burrito. Our food came out fairly quickly. The portions of the food were very generous. My husband loved the chili Colorado. He said it was the best he ever had and that is was very authentic and spicy. My burrito was huge. It was stuffed with beans, rice, shrimp, sour cream, guacamole, Pico de gallo and cheese. Every bite I took had shrimp in it. The only negative was that the shrimp was over cooked. That being said, that wouldn't stop me from coming back and trying something else. Besides the extremely chewy shrimp, the burrito had excellent flavor. The food was plentiful and reasonably priced. We will definitely return to try different things.

    Carnitas dinner.

This place is not a great place and I have no clue how it has 4 star reviews. First I must say the chips looked like they came out of a bag and the salsa was bland. Should have left at that but I stayed to try the place. I was on a business trip and ordered the carnitas dinner which said it came with a side salad. Little did I know it came on the plate with hot food. I had asked she bring it with Ranch for dressing. These carnitas is nothing I've ever seen before. Sliced pork roast is basically what I got. The rice was dry and not good and the beans had no flavor. The price of the food was $16. The other plate ordered was enchiladas and they said the sauce was not good either. Do not waste your money at this place. Then as we were leaving I look at my texts and see that the other guest with me had seen the cook picking his nose when we walked in. Totally disgusting.

Friendly and efficient service at this mom & pop restaurant. Good value with decent portions. Steady stream of dine-in customers and take-out orders on a Sunday mid-afternoon during both our visits in late-August and mid-July. As soon as we sat down, fresh salsa (medium+ spicy) and chips were placed on our table. Super burrito 5/5: overall flavorful and filling On this most recent visit, the carne asada had some very fatty and chewy bits (~10%). During our first visit (mid-July), DH and I thought the carne asada (beef) was a bit salty. Menudo 4/5: offal (tripe and tendon) stew. Flavorful with a bit of 'funk'. Adding the provided dried oregano and raw onions slightly reduced the 'funk'. Pollo con Mole Rojo 3/5: Chicken smothered in a thick red mole sauce Fall-off-the-bone stewed chicken in a tomato based mole sauce (included 3 chicken wings with tips and a quarter piece of bone-in breast meat). Mole tasted one note, perhaps needed some spices to elevate flavor. Horchata 5/5: tasty and refreshing on a hot summer day. Other aqua frescas available and look forward to trying other flavors. Parking: plentiful on the left side/back of restaurant

I love when I find awesome little taquerias and this one is a gem. The atmosphere is great. It's nice, clean, and pleasant. The service is great. The waitress who served us was pleasant and on top of things. Most importantly, the food is really great. We will start with the chips and salsa. Ok, the salsa can use some kick. They do have a bottle of Tapatio on the tables so I would recommend spicing it up a bit. As far as the chips go, I'm not sure if they are freshly made or store bought. I AM sure that they are unique and delicious. My wife and I ordered an Al Pastor soft taco, a carnitas soft taco, a Carne Asada Quesadilla, and a Carne Asada burrito. The portions were substantial, the prices very reasonable, and the taste was very yummy. The tacos alone will fill you up. Anyway, I will be in that area more often these days and when I am, this will be my go to taqueria from here on out. Well done! UPDATE We went again today. Still outstanding, pretty much. My wife got the fish tacos and she wasn't thrilled with them because she was expecting them to be breaded. I count that as a personal preference and won't hold it against the restaurant. I had the outstanding Carne Asada quesadillas and also the carnitas soft tacos (oh yea baby)! I don't know what kind of voodoo magic they do in the kitchen but the results are out of this world! If we had to rate the meats so far, we'd rate them: 1-Carnitas 2-Al Pastor 3-Carne Asada 4-Fish (in the tacos) The first three are essentially tied. They are all very very good. The fish in the tacos has a bit more distance between it and the 1-3 rankings. I don't know why there aren't lines out the door at this place! Try it. The place is a little hard to see but it's located just south of Cosmo on Monterrey. Try it, you'll like it! I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Great taco salad with chicken. Coffee shop ambiance with soccer on medium screens. The chips and salsa need a LOT if improvement.

Some of the best local Mexican food, very tasty served nice and hot (not cold), fresh ingredients…read more Very reasonable prices for the large amount of food. The service was impeccable, very nice, ensure we had water, offered menu suggestions.. felt like they were trying to build a dining experience not just get you in / out as fast as possible. (Very refreshing, most other restaurants are just trying to 'turn tables quickly') It really looks like a hacienda, they have ample indoor and outdoor seating, and a well stocked bar. They also have a nice happy hour selection weekdays in the afternoon. Our new Goto, for Mexican food in Morgan Hill.

This review is specifically for Carla H. as a waitress on 6/19/2026 from 6-7:30pm…read more We live in the area and this is our go to restaurant for Mexican food if we want to sit down especially after a long day of work. The food is great and we enjoy the ambiance and environment. We have had Carla 3 times in the times that we have been there. Moving forward, when we do go there, we will request another waiter/waitress in the event she is assigned to us. The first time, we got there before happy hour ended, like 15 minutes before. By the time she came to our table it was just minutes before happy hour ended. I shared that we sat down prior and it took some time before she came to take our order. On any other occasion, the other waitors/waitresses were able to accommodate us with no problem. We are not trying to work the system, but we're talking minutes. The second time, it was a time delay in service: checking in with us on drinks, napkins, and check. When my husband suggested this place to eat for dinner, I was hoping we didn't have Carla as our waitress. Today, we did and I was hoping that her services would be a lot better than the past two times. We gave our order: Kids cheese quesadilla with just rice with lemonade Kids chicken quesadilla with just refried beans with lemonade Baja fish with refried beans and rice Chicken echilada with refried beans and rice My husband and I just had water and we asked for lemonade. The entire time we were there, we were not once checked on. We saw all other waitresses/waitors checking on their tables multiple times. We had to flag down staff bussing tables to ask for more chips and get more drinks. Mind you it's me, my husband, and my two kids 3 and 7. It's unfortunate because my kids drank their drinks fast and did not have their own set of napkins to begin with. She also did not get our order right. There were no lemons in our water and our son who ordered the chicken quesadilla only had a cheese quesadilla. Our son didn't have a problem with it, but had Carla checked on us, we would've brought it to her attention. We noticed she spent a long time chatting with an elderly couple when we were ready to go and waiting for our check. At this point, I took my boys out with me in the car since they were fidgety and ready to get dessert elsewhere. I passed by her as she spoke to the elderly couple and tried to make eye contact, and she ignored me. My husband was left at the table to pay the bill. I shared with him to make sure to bring up the cheese quesadilla. Of course, when she brought the bill, she charged for the chicken quesadilla. She tried to explain to my husband the order, but she didn't have it right when she tried to explain which son had what. She goes back and changes the bill and my husband has to wait again for her to return to pay for the bill. My husband very kindly shared that the service was horrible and we were not tended to with drinks and napkins. We had to resort to getting service from staff bussing tables. She shared with my husband, "You didn't go up to the front desk," and "the other staff are supposed to check on you." My husband shared that we watched all the other waiters and waitresses tending to their customers and we were note. Carla continued to ask, "Is this your first time here?" My husband responded, "We've come here a few times." Carla responds, "Yes, I've seen you and your family here." Carla definitely lacks in customer services and basic reciprocal conversation skills. Business Manager Ana ~ I hope you take this review seriously, because I've been on yelp a very long time and very few times I have written negative reviews. This time, I couldn't hold my breath and not say something about Carla. She needs to have a refresher on what her roles and responsibilities are as a Waitress. I will still continue to visit La Hacienda, but the next time I am there with my family and Carla is our waitress, I will request not to be seated at the tables she is assigned to. Never have I ever felt so disrespected with the lack of service by a particular waitress. I would be happy to continue this conversation Business Manager Ana to discuss further about my horrible experience.
