I could compare it to a teaspoon of salt and they would break even. Not sure what took place in that kitchen, but I literally could not eat it. The chicken was also very dry. A chicken flavored salt lick. Bummer and a waste of money.

While I may not be an expert in pupusas, having only had them at a few restaurants in San Jose, these were undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The staff informed me that this restaurant has been in operation for a year. I was unaware of its existence and make an effort to stay informed about the restaurants in town. The young lady who took my order at the register was friendly and helpful. She brought me warm chips and great tasting salsa. Three people came by to serve me the chips, horchata, and burrito. All were young and very nice. Plenty of parking in front of this place. Oh, the chile relleno was full of gooey cheese the way I like it. And it also contains whole pinto beans and rice. I'll definitely come back soon.

I didn't have the highest of expectations, as I work in a "upper scale" Mexican Restaurant back home, and I'm pretty high maintenance when it comes to Mexican food. Chips and salsa came quick, let me tell you, I LOVED the salsa, I ate 3 refills myself . We both got the Mezcalita, also delicious, we both got 2 each. Then it came down to our main course, I threw a curve ball and got the Guachinango A la Veracruzana, a Wild Red Snapper with olives, onions capers etc. I WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED. It was absolutely delicious. I'm craving it just talking about it now. Holy Moly. My partner got chicken enchiladas, he said they were pretty basic. So I'm giving 4 stars. Service was slow but you could tell he was a little overwhelmed. Overall, I'd recommend this place! Try the Veracruzana .
