Actually saw the vendors at Morgan Hill Walmart parking lot. I was their last customer of the day because I got their last three chicken tamales!! The tamales are super flavorful and were filling! Very generous amount of meat as well. They were selling the tamales out of insulated coolers and were still hot! The vendors were very friendly as well. Will be getting more! :) read more

Tamale Lady - Chicken tamale - Mexican Near Me - Gilroy, California

The green chili sauce is spicy stuff but it's delicious I had it on her chicken tamales which I'm sure is a staple as they never run out of the chicken but have the beef before. I've had the pork as well They make home made Mexican delight. I guess there's about four places in the area they park for a day Try it , you'll live the sauces! read more

She must be a cigarette smoker because everything the bags and tamales smell so strongly of cigarettes made me feel nauseous I didnt smell it until I opened the bags. I paid $20 for 6 tamales. I'm so disappointed & disgusted. I've got Tamales from her before they were good. But the cigarette smell made me feel sick I had to throw them all away. read more

I have purchased tamales here many times (both at the Safeway and Walmart locations). They are always delicious. Good ratio of meat to masa. My only negative comment is that the green chicken tamale is very very spicy hot. Aside from that, I highly recommend the Tamale Lady. read more

I ordered tamales and when I picked them up. They gave me, two pork and one cheese and I order chicken, pork, cheese. They gave me pork because they sold the chicken tamales I ordered a week in advance.. the tamales were not the best.. never again! Pedí tamales y cuando los recogí. Me dieron dos de cerdo y un queso y pedí pollo, cerdo, queso. Me dieron cerdo porque vendieron los tamales de pollo que pedí con una semana de anticipación... los tamales no eran los mejores... ¡nunca más! read more

Always been looking around for a good tamale place/person who can make them to perfection etc...well definitely word of social media does help, one of my friends who works with me at the hospital shared Martha's hot tamales (tamale lady) on her social media so decided to give it a go. Started to follow her on social media and went to the location where she was at on that day which was at my job area next to other food trucks. I bought 6 cheese and Jalapeño and 6 pork tamales...omg pics do not do justice, the tamales I kid u not were huge and lots of meat in the pork (not greedy with the making of this). The cheese and Jalapeño was soooo good like omg...the cheese is loaded and taste of Jalapeño too, definitely worth it and also was not greedy on the cheese, lots of it. Now guys, that's what I call a real tamale made from the heart n efforts. If u buy tamales from others off the street (some put too much masa and hardly no meat), they are nowhere like how the tamale lady (Martha's hot tamales) makes it. And a plus. Is that they are nice and hot when given to u too!!! Wholesome goodness I been ordering from her for a yr now and I will continue to be ordering from her. U guys need to give her a try!!! Promise u will not be disappointed. Sorry no pics to share, when I get em again I will post pics read more

These are amazing tamales. I really like the pork. There is a good balance of meat and meal. They are rather mild but that is great for some. I dress them up with sour cream and green sauce. They have to great locations. Walmart and Safeway. Out of their van with the rear door open. read more

Best tamales I've ever had. I buy them often from Walmart parking lot or Safeway parking lot. 12 tamales for $20 or 15 tamales for $25 is what I usually pay. My favorite are the jalapeño/cheese, but they're all very good. Look for white mini van with back hatch open. Martha's phone number (408) 396-1479. read more
