Shrimp Tostada and super burrito w/Chile Verde
    Torri M.

Rounding up to 4 stars ... everything we ordered was Decent and overall tasty. I was looking around to have a repeat of the Burrito we found at Cachanilla ... no such luck. However, I will say that this burrito was at least flavorful and did not depend on my adding salsa to it for any sort of flavor: which on the whole seems to be the norm around these parts. The burrito was flavorful, well put together but definitely lacking in the ingredient 'freshness' I was hoping for. But tasty. Husband had the Chile Verde Burrito and I had the Shrimp. I do appreciate that you can opt not to have rice on the burrito. I also appreciate that they offer a vegetarian or shrimp burrito. Big round up of stars for that! The Chile Relleno was 'ok' a bit surprisingly bland, but well and properly cooked. The shrimp tostada was ... definitely not the best tostada in town, so will not go here for those. However, I was very happy to find a little 'more authentic' Mexican spot in town where not everything was as bland but the salsa! Will be ordering from this spot again.

This place is a small convenience store with a taqueria tucked in on the side. Both areas are organized and clean and they have a couple of small tables for dine in. I ordered two burritos , one pastor and one asada, two plain asada tacos for my little and an horchata. All items were delicious and the service was quick. I highly recommend this little taqueria when you're in the mood for good on the run.

I'm from San Jose and I've Never wrote a bad review, stopped by at 5 am on the way home from Monterey from a family trip. This place seriously has 4 stars??? I've ate so many good Mexican spots and I've had places that were ok and whatever. But this place was the worst one I've ever had. You see the pictures I posted below... literally tasted like water beans, dried pork. My burrito smelled weird cause the meat. Rice was bland. I was really shocked because I thought it would be better which was such a huge let down. I'm only writing this to spread awareness cause seriously I'm not sure how you can say this is a good authentic Mexican restaurant. Also to add one last thing. I woke up and my stomach hurts from that pork I ate, I'm really disappointed to be writing this as I'm a big supporter for local food restaurants but yeah this was terrible I'm sorry. Staffs weren't rude or anything though.

We ordered eight huge breakfast burritos . The staff was friendly, fast, and provided good service. Definitely worth checking out.

Too expensive ordinary food. People are half drunk in here. Not a family place. The cashier are not friendly.

I've been here numerous times and they do offer special meal options depending on the day. On Sunday they offered quesabirria tacos, they were delicious. They put a lot of meat which is my personal preference. The consume was nicely flavored as well and comes with it. The menudeo was delicious as well. There are different options of beans, they offer however they are all so delicious. My normal order is the enchiladas verdes and you could never go wrong with them. The serving sizes are pretty large. In addition, they have a great kids menu for those with picky eaters. The services is good. Our server, Cesar, is the best server here and is very attentive to the table and is great at answering any questions you may have. This place is pretty spacious and they play music. They have different seating options which the host will offer. I'm not sure why the reviews are so horrible. It's never been my experience here. I recommend trying the place out if you're in the mood for some good Mexican food.

I chose the tortilla soup because it was freezing cold in the bar area , and it sounded good. The soup was bland , boring and had limited ingredients. I had to order a side of avocado just to make it interesting to eat. The menu itself is tired and outdated. The food is mediocre and overpriced . In fact ,almost everything is over 20.00 now. I used to come here for the happy hour appetizers , and to watch a game. With food this bad, I don't think I'll even do that anymore. The only thing saving this place from one star is the friendly staff and good chips and salsa.

There's a sign that says "Wait to be seated", but no one came out to seat us and a group of people walked past us to go inside, were sat right away. A girl who sat us ended up being our server but took a very long time for her to come back out to even take our drink orders. I had to ask the guy bringing water and tortilla chips who our server was. Once our server arrived she was very nice and answered our menu questions. I ordered the the spicy Mamacita and my friend ordered the pina colada. Both drinks looked cool but mine was very sweet, not really spicy at all and was tiny for $15. I think I mostly paid for the presentation part...flower, popsicle, etc. We both ordered the 3 taco trio and the food came out before long. I had a mahi mahi, carne asada and a taco macho. Again, the food wasn't that great: rice and beans had an off flavor, octopus was chewy in the taco macho, and the mahi was a bit fishy. We took half our food to go and checked out. All in all I would not come back unless it was out of convenience due to the location. The food and drinks have a nice presentation, but the taste of everything wasn't there for me. Although our server was really nice and my friend and I were busy chatting, the service was slow.

It's a shame the place isn't nearly as good as it was when it first opened. The food always looks great, but the flavors are average, and the cooks can be inconsistent. You might get a great meal one day and a very "mid" one the next. If you want an aguachile that's not too spicy, the aguachile de tamarindo is a solid choice, while the mango habanero has a nice kick. The tacos are consistently good. I'd stay away from the salmon--it was overcooked--and the pasta was too greasy. The calamari bites are on the small side but have a satisfying crunch. Services was excellent.
