Simon Med is a medical imaging behemoth. I have been here at least twice over many years. The imaging was done, the product was in focus, evaluation done, the doctor gave me my results. I played my part, they played theirs. The bills got paid, I am seen, not viewed. That's five stars from an Imaging House to me.

The only good part of my experience at SimonMed was the technician, Adam, who was great. Other…read morethan that, this place is a disaster and I don't think anyone should go there. Instead, try the competitor, Southwest Medical Imaging. The two couldn't be more different. Before you go to SimonMed, you have to fill out many forms online and I do understand that. But it's still quite a hassle. The odd part is that when you arrive at the facility, you have to enter the same information. The worst part is SimonMed sends you an email and instructs you to click on this link to let them know you have arrived at the facility. There are no people there. No one greets you. You click the link in the email and a message comes back requiring that you enter the same information about insurance that you have already entered at home. It's a total duplication of your effort. When you get that done, the message comes back that you can now approach a payment station where you are asked again to show your ability to pay. You will not feel welcome or secure; you will feel like you deserve a paycheck for all the work that you are doing. I did see a half dozen people working but they were all at computers and none were interacting with patients. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. In contrast, when I got to SMIL, they smile, they welcome me, they come out to the waiting room to get my information and tell me how long the wait will be - it's never more than 10 minutes. I feel welcome and cared for. My guess is the SimonMed is trying reduce labor costs and I bet they are succeeding because you, the patient, are doing all the labor. What an awful place. UPDATE: To continue on how terrible SimonMed is, I just received an email requesting that I pay the bill. Fine, but the email didn't include the bill! So I went to the website and found no possible way to see my bill. I'm supposed to pay it without seeing it? This place is Kafaesque. Again, stay away! It's worse than any medical facility I have ever visited,

Sonora Quest Laboratories - Lab. Notice one IPad checking, NO humans available to help those w problems signing in.

Of course check in is on a smartpad. You know who struggles w that? Lots of people! Older people, people with vision issues, people w oddball medical plans, people with language barriers. But mostly seniors/older people. I watched an elderly man attempt to get help multiple times. I won't go into his personal details, but at least 7 people checked in before he was checked in. Someone at lab told me "times have changed" when I brought this up to staff, but there's a huge population that were not born in a digital age, that adopted technology when it was available, as adults. It's wrong- this digital gatekeeper way of running a business that involves humans- including the old and sick. Once in the back, I was treated well, as I always am by the staff at Sonora Quest. Professional courteous phlebotomist. Labcorp is even worse.

I am absolutely livid. I checked in at 2:00pm with their iPad system thing. Everything went…read morethrough. Then after 50 minutes I noticed other people coming in after I had arrived. Turns out their system is faulty and instead of saying sorry and pushing me ahead they put me back in the queue. Asked them to check the cameras. She gave zero shits and it's hands down the worst experience I've ever had in one of these places. Their signs say they'll be back but she told me this is how we check in. They don't do desk check ins apparently.
