Out of curiosity, I decided to step inside and explore. The server was very friendly and guided me through the various sweet options available. I decided to try the Flan from their menu. After lunch, we enjoyed the Flan, and it was absolutely delicious. The taste was perfect, with a smooth and creamy texture that we loved. I'm looking forward to returning soon to explore more of the bakery's offerings!

One of them recently sold their business to Ricopan. That's very sad, because I really loved their guava & cheese quesitos and turnovers. This particular bakery is in a shopping plaza on the corner of Kingsway & Windhorst Rd. I was greeted right away by a very pleasant gentleman. He offered samples of bread pudding. It had good flavor, but the texture was different than what I'm used to. My aunt used to make the best bread pudding. I really need to stop comparing things to what I've had in the past. I decided to get the mallorca with ham & cheese, some pastries, and a café con leche. The coffee was very good. I like that he made it stronger for me. The sandwich had a nice presentation, but there wasn't much filling. They used American cheese instead of a white cheese. Let's just say that it's not my favorite mallorca sandwich in the area. As for the mallorca pastry/bread, it just didn't taste as good as what I've had on the island. I like the sweeter & softer version. However, I do like the tornillos, palmeras, and quesitos. This bakery has a lot of potential. It was somewhat busy on a weekday morning. Hopefully they do well in this area. I really need to go back to try other things like the filled donuts. I did see flan, flancocho, tembleque, and tres leches in the case. I'm just picky when it comes to anything Puerto Rican. Both sides of my family used to make some amazing comida. Please don't let my review discourage you. Try it for yourself.

They sell pastries, desserts, breads, sandwiches, and more. It's great that they are close to home. I absolutely love their guava & cheese quesitos. They are so delicious! I'm not usually a fan of this combination, but I love this particular version. Maybe because the cheese filling is sweeter. They also have strawberry and pineapple turnovers. I've only had the pineapple which I haven't seen in this area. It was great! The guava pastries are also a winner. I'd go back many more times just for these items alone. The mallorca wasn't my favorite. It's good, but it's more of a bread consistency than a sweet roll. The cheese and guava on top was very good. It was just too dense in my opinion. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a Puerto Rican gringa whose parents were born on the island. I'm guessing there are two different versions. The version that I know (and my mother loved) is the softer one that is more like a sweet roll. I've also had better ham & cheese mallorca sandwiches. However, I will try their other sandwiches and fritter appetizers for lunch one day. Other than that, everything else I've tried was wonderful. I love that the turnover and pastries are flaky and full of flavor, unlike some other bakeries. They are perfect! I do want to try the donuts and tornillos. I also want to try the breads. There will definitely be more visits, and very soon.

It's in a stand alone building, right next to a large apartment complex. The turn is very easy to miss on your first visit, even with GPS. But once you've been there, you'll never miss it again. Your tastebuds will lead you home. When I got there, early on a Thursday morning, the place was humming. There are no tables or booths-it's take out only... and people were whizzing in-then whizzing out with big boxes or bags. That was a very good sign. But soon, I didn't notice the other people (cue the music montage)... I was mesmerized-transfixed, even... by all the goodies. Everything from delicate coconut pastries to corn casserole to fruit tarts/tortes, to chicken empanadas, to fancy cakes to big, puffy/fluffy cheese loaves... all beautifully displayed and labeled. It was a feast for the senses. I couldn't stop taking photos! I also couldn't decide what to get, but finally blurted out something about the corn casserole and quickly added the coconut cocada and pan bolo (guava). I am happy to report that everything tasted as good as it looked. As the 80s ballad declared: "the search is over"... I have found my favorite bakery, I love that it has both sweet and savory items. I will be back again and again. But not just for the food. It's the service! The woman helping me was absolutely delightful. She was warm and friendly and helpful and full of good suggestions. She was sunshine. That's something you can't put in a display case or add to a recipe.. Ricopan, you're a star! I'll be back! P.s. private parking lot-fair prices-very clean and they also sell coffee-maybe other drinks, too.

This family-run spot, led by Ken and Andi, delivers an inviting experience with its open-air chicken coop, vibrant fruit trees, and a cozy farmstand open Thursday through Sunday. With its standout cinnamon rolls, homemade jellies, and the option to pop in for a quick treat during the day, Wingspread Farm earns a solid five stars. The baked goods are the heart of the menu, crafted from scratch with natural ingredients and no preservatives. The cinnamon rolls are legendary, rich Danish pastry swirled with sweet cinnamon filling and topped with a creamy glaze that melts in your mouth, available fresh on Saturdays. Pecan sticky buns ooze with gooey caramel and crunchy nuts, while the rotating selection of cookies in flavors like chocolate chip or unique specialties keeps things exciting. The artisan bread lineup shines with French baguettes that are crusty outside and soft inside, plus Hungarian soft milk bread that's perfect for toasting. Farm-fresh eggs from uncaged chickens add a protein-packed touch, and the seasonal produce, like mangoes, guavas, limes, and avocados from on-site trees, brings the garden to your plate. Don't miss the homemade jams and jellies--guava strawberry or habanero mango varieties burst with authentic fruit flavors, made without chemicals for a pure, tangy spread. Savory options like Hungarian salami and fine cheeses round out the offerings, making it easy to build a picnic or charcuterie board. The value comes from the freshness and variety, with generous portions that feel indulgent yet approachable. You can swing by during the day for a single cinnamon roll or jar of jelly, ideal for a quick coffee break or snack run, with the farmstand's laid-back setup encouraging relaxed browsing. Compared to big-box bakeries, Wingspread's handmade quality and local sourcing make every item feel special without excess. They even have several options for those gluten intolerant like my wife and daughter. The service is personal and heartfelt, with Ken and Andi greeting visitors like old friends, sharing stories about their sustainable practices or the chickens roaming freely. They're quick to offer samples or tips on pairing bread with their jellies, creating a community vibe that's as nourishing as the food. The farm is clean and disability-friendly, with paved paths and covered seating for comfortable lingering, plus the joyful sight of chickens doing their thing adds a fun, kid-friendly element. Wingspread Farm is more than a bakery; it's a slice of rural joy in Valrico. Whether grabbing a quick pastry or stocking up on eggs and produce, the wholesome treats and welcoming spirit make every visit delightful. For its exceptional baked goods, fresh farm offerings, and genuine hospitality, Wingspread Farm gets five stars. It's a must-visit for anyone craving artisan flavors and a touch of farm life.

I was still getting their key lime pies at Winn-Dixie up until this past week. For those who are not local, they started their business in Tampa over 30 years ago. The pies can be found nationally at restaurants and grocery stores. They happened to be one of many contestants in a pie contest on GMA recently which prompted me to look up their address. They are closer than I thought. As others have said, it's hidden. Thankfully I read the reviews stating that because it still took me a while to find it. I had also read that you need to call ahead if you want something specific, or during the holiday rush for pies. I went on a whim to see what they had available. They had many frozen pies, and I believe some were being held for pick up orders. She said there was one seasonal guava cheesecake left. At that point, I didn't even really care what other flavors they had. I think they had key lime, pecan, and others. It was guava that screamed the loudest to me. It was a very quick transaction after that. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I kept it in the car for a while because I had other errands to run. It defrosted enough were I could pull out a slice of it and pop the rest into the freezer (yep, it can be refrozen). These cheesecakes are already pre-sliced which is very convenient. Mind you, these are larger than any of the Mike's Pies sold at grocery stores. There are 12 big slices in this cheesecake. I couldn't wait for my slice to defrost. I went ahead and ate it partially frozen. It was the best cheesecake ever! The guava is not just on top of it. It's mixed inside the cheese cake. It had guava in every bite. It ended up being so creamy towards the end as it continued to defrost. Maybe because I took my sweet time savoring each bite. I so wish this flavor was on their regular local menu. I remember seeing it on the menu at Fat Willie's Fish Camp back in September but they ran out of it. I feel like this cheesecake was meant for me to find. I will get it again whenever it's back on the local menu. This cheesecake will have to last until then.
