This is the 4th time I've used Simply Trees and I'm always satisfied with their work. Michelle and Jason are great along with the rest of their crew. Oh, and very importantly, they are *insured* which is a BIG plus if a worker injures themselves on your property. This time I had them do a massive amount of trimming...multiple golden arborvitae, cypresses, fruit trees and tall palm trees. I know if I ask them to trim something and it won't look good, they will tell me it won't work well and give me the reason why. I've learned to trust their judgement on this. Simply Trees ships you undersized trees! I ordered 6-7' Thuja Green 'Giants'. One tree was smaller than advertised, the other one just a few inches over. It seems that Simply Trees measures the trees right at time of shipping to sell you the smallest trees possible. The trees I received were flimsy and short and therefore useless for my purpose. I wasted my time and money with them. I recommend buying from your local nursery so you get what you see and avoid disappointments. Buyer beware!! read more

December 2024 rescheduled 3x saying their estimator called in sick. Didn't want the work.

We had agreed on a date for stump grinding at our place. In the early morning of the same day, they said that their grinding machine broke and didn't update us until now; it has been 10 days. We waited for the service for around 22 days and rejected other tree services as we had booked an appointment with these guys. We had done so much tree work in our place with these guys, but this time, we were frustrated. Simply trees you have lost our business and perhaps other potential customers. read more

I was referred by a neighbor who has used Simply Trees for many jobs and were very satisfied. I needed to have a palm tree removed that had gotten too close to the house. They gave a good quote and did excellent work. They were very neat and cleaned up everything. Unfortunately 2 boards on my fence were broken when a piece hit a rock and went the wrong way. They immediately when out and got 2 new boards and made a fix. I plan to use Simply Trees for trimming and other work. Great people to work with. read more

Purchased a $250 tree. It arrived with broken branches, yellowed leaves and in a significantly damaged container. Immediately called business. Nice man on the phone said we will do whatever you prefer, either refund or store credit. Nice. Called today to find out how it works only to hear from another employee the tree didn't look that damaged from the photos and whoever I spoke to was wrong and they never offered refunds and that she wouldn't stand by what the other employee/manager had told me. Tree was not special and I could have/should have it picked up from a local store... and certainly would have been able to return it without a fuss and likely with a more friendly representative. Simply Trees offers limited customer options and poor customer service phone skills. Not a business I will revisit. There motto is "Your order made our day." I bet it did... lol! read more

Warning My experience experience with SimpleTrees.Store was upsetting to say the least. What they advertise is not what they deliver. Speaking of delivery. They advertise 1 to 3 day shipping. After 2 weeks & no tree, following several emails & VM, I finally got Michael on the phone who showered me with excuses and promised to ship my order out. Three weeks later, I finally received the Dracaena. When I opened the box, there was soil every where & the tree that I spent $$$ on was covered with black & brown spots and one of the roots was laying amongst the soil in the box. I immediately sent an email to Michael along with photos, and he assured me he would send me a replacement. Again, several weeks later, the replacement tree finally came. Not only was it 2 feet smaller than the original one I paid for, this too, was covered with black and brown spots. I followed up with another email and attached photos of the replacement tree only to be accused of resubmitting the original photos from the first dying tree. I sent them photos of both dying trees side-by-side & refused to refund my credit card And stopped responding. My advice to consumers, support your local nurseries. Which are much cheaper and will stand behind their products unlike this company read more

The magnolia tree had no roots. Planted it tried to get it to survive anyway, but it died after three months so I called and they said sorry only 30 day warranty. Not a great company. Definitely buy from somebody else. read more

Just had Simply Trees out to do tree work this morning . They showed up on time even a little early. They were polite, knowledgeable about trees and well organize. We live in a historic Victorian home and our trees were growing on top of our roof. They were amazing to watch as they cut and removed with care. This company is very dishonest!! DO NOT USE! I needed a tree cut in my backyard, it was breaking apart. I called them. They said they would give me and estimate. I had to ask for a written estimate which they emailed to me. I accepted it. When They came They said They could not climb the tree. They just drove off!! They never went on the property to assess the tree, they just drove pass. Sent me a bogus estimate. Wasted my time and money. Michele is a liar. She said they looked at the tree. We've hired Simply Trees several times to help clean up the trees and vines in my yard. Jason is very friendly and has always provided us with a fair estimate. He's very knowledgeable about what type of trees are on the property and how to maintain them. Most recently, we had an overgrown olive tree in a tough spot that we wanted to grind out (along a creek bed and grown around a metal fence), Jason warned us that it may be difficult due to the location. They were able to get most of it then give advice on how to get rid of the parts they couldn't reach with their machines. Payment is simple and during COVID you can mail in a check for payment to avoid the credit card fee. In normal times I've paid in person or over the phone. We have about 15 different trees, mostly in our not-that-big backyard. There are many different kinds of trees - and I didn't even know what some of them were. I wanted to make sure they were safe - that they were not likely to blow over or catch fire - and healthy. I wanted an arborist, not just someone who would whack the lower branches off random trees, but someone who would trim them for their health and advise me on the best way to care for them. I put in a request for quote in Yelp and Jason from Simply Trees came out. He explained what each tree was, how best to care for it, what it needed now, whether (or not) it needed to be trimmed (and how) and gave me a quote to have all of the trees cared for. The company was backed up (only negative) and it took a couple of months for a crew to come out and take care of the trees. I imagine this past winter's rains accounted for this. The crew came out today. There were 5 of them. We reviewed what was to be done with each and every tree and it was all done in about 3 hours. They did a beautiful job cleaning up after their work and my entire back yard is now full of light. Jason came by my home to give me a quote on a large oak tree removal and their prices were the cheapest by a huge margin, seriously no one came close. Not only this but he squeezed us in their schedule in less than a week. They told me it may take 3hours start to finish on a weekday. When they showed up I asked for quotes and timing on 3 juniper bushes and a small front yard tree. They gave me quick prices after looking at them and said they'd do it all same time. Wow! So I went back to work thinking I'd come home on lunch to pay - nope! They were done in 1 hour! When I got back I was so impressed at their work and the guy there even said they would have been done quicker but their large truck / machine was in the shop for service. So they could have been done even faster?! Absolutely crazy how good their operation runs. About 6 guys were there for the service and clean up and everything was more than satisfactory. They just completed trimming my birch tree in my front yard. The tree was trimmed about 5 years ago and had gotten out of control. They were able to trim the tree and give it shape and unlike some other service we had the tree's shape looks great and doesn't look like a hack job.
