A random Saturday and was craving some Thai food. Decided to come here since it's been awhile, we've been coming here since 2016, still good til this day. Over the years I noticed there might have been different owners. Such a small, cute, quiet, and cozy place. When you come in, you get greeted and seated quickly. Food is fresh and hot. The family and I ordered the Satay Chicken, Egg Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, Beef Drunken Noodles, Coconut Juice and Thai Iced Coffee. We usually do take out here, and food would be ready quickly. But the day we went here it took a little longer than expected. We were the only ones there until 4 other families came in to eat as well. Understandable for the wait time and how there was only 1-2 workers at the time.

Food was fresh to order. Had good flavor. Service was nice and pleasant. Owner was cooking. Quiet, Clean, and nice ambiance.

We LOVE this place! We come in every time we are in area - about once a month. First, the service is exceptional. The food is always hot and SO good. Be sure to ask for it spicy if you like spicy. The curry is our favorite and full of flavor. I get the yellow curry with chicken. My husband gets the green curry. The portions are a good size and reasonably priced. It is a quaint, hole in the wall, neighborhood place that can get crowded. It is very clean. You won't be disappointed!

Came here on Saturday night for dinner and glad it was open. It's a small cozy little restaurant and decorated well. There's only one server, so please be kind a patient. Glad to see there were a few other guests seated and to-go orders ready. Growing up on Thai food, I'm particular. I loved the gravy noodle because not every Thai restaurant serves it. The only downside and reason for 4 stars is that they used American broccoli instead of the traditional Chinese broccoli. The fried banana dessert was also a slightly different texture, but still delicious. Only downside was they had vanilla ice cream instead of traditional coconut ice cream. But I love coming here for an inexpensive lunch or dinner!

First time here. Cute little small restaurant. The lady that served us was very polite. Didn't take long for our food to arrive. Everything was delicious. I just wished my papaya salad was spicer ( husband's fault, he cant handle spice) I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu.

Quite mediocre Thai food. Thin watery light on flavor pa nang curry. Way too many carrots in both the pa nang curry and pad see ew. Just overall not very good unfortunately.

I came in on a Wednesday after work, place was quiet, and there was only one person working the counter. Even so, my food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the red curry with tofu, a side of white rice and spring rolls with tofu. My total was was 28$. The spring rolls were made of shredded lettuce, carrots, and about four pieces of fried tofu, they were huge, but flavorless would not order again. No herbs either cilantro / mint ect. Came with a sauce I did not eat. Tasted like old peanut sauce. Rice was low quality and not good. Felt dry and old. The curry was on the sweeter side even though I ordered it spicy. Very runny would not order again.

Ordered (2) orders of spring rolls. MUCH bigger than expected. Substituted shrimp with chicken

Unfortunately our first visit here was not the greatest. We ordered green curry, papaya salad, and thai hot wings. The wings were good, a solid 4/5. The curry and papaya salad left much to be desired unfortunately. The curry was basically a watery soup and the papaya salad was missing ingredients listed in it's description. We may give this place another chance, but would only get the wings again.

The servers were very attentive and kind; it was Monday night, and not extremely busy which helped. They boxed my food for me as well, customer service was even better than my first visit! ~~ Original review: An authentic Thai restaurant that is a true pleasure for your taste buds. I had the Thai iced tea with the roasted duck panang duck curry. A unique dish that I haven't seen at other Thai restaurants; the portion was plentiful and the duck was tender, flavorful and yummy. The curry didn't overpower the duck, and it wasn't soggy. The spice level was perfect. Spicy enough for a kick, but you can taste the medley of flavors. I really enjoyed the pineapple in this dish, it complemented everything else perfectly. The thickness of the curry was on point. 10/10 The Thai iced tea was balanced well; sweet, but a strong tea flavor. However, there were small bits of tea at the bottom. Otherwise, it was perfect. 9/10 My coworkers had the yellow chicken curry & chicken lettuce wraps. Service: Good customer service, they checked on us a couple of times even though it started to get busy. The tattooed server was handsome. 10/10 Ambiance: A casual hole in the wall vibe where you can hear the chefs yelling from the back. Gold wall art that makes you feel like you feel like you're in Thailand. Parking: Parking lot with plenty of parking at 6pm on a Tuesday. I would definitely return any time I'm in NorCal.

Our table ordered a little bit of everything from duck entrees to noodles, but I went with my usual favorite, the chicken satay salad. Honestly that peanut sauce is everything. So flavorful and one of those sauces where you wish they would just bring extra automatically. I've had the chicken satay before just as the appetizer and basically made it my meal, but the salad version was really fresh and just as good. One thing I did notice this time was that our food came out at pretty different times. Some of my friends were already done eating before my salad even came out. That said, the food here does feel very authentic and handmade, so I can understand why dishes don't all hit the table at once, especially with different entrees being prepared fresh. It just would have been nice timing-wise for everyone to eat together. One funny moment was two of my friends tried ordering Arnold Palmers, and since they don't really carry lemonade or standard iced tea, they kind of improvised with pink lemonade and what may have as Thai tea. Somehow it still worked because both of them loved it. We've been here quite a few times and usually split checks, which we did again this visit. This was the first time gratuity had already been added onto all of our separate checks, so just something to be aware of before tipping so you don't accidentally double tip without realizing it. Helpful tip: The chicken satay anything here is a safe bet, and definitely double check your check if you're splitting bills with a group. Overall still one of my favorite Thai spots in Elk Grove, especially when I'm craving that peanut sauce.

The parking lot had plenty of spots available. I was warmly greeted before being seated to a table along the window. The menu has many options of popular Thai dishes. I thought the RAO's platter was the perfect appetizer to order so I could try multiple dishes at once. I almost always try a rice dish at any Asian restaurant so I chose crab fried rice. At the last minute I decided to add the crying tiger to my order. Especially since the server said it wasn't very spicy. Food arrived without too much of a wait. The platter was delicious and I appreciated three sauce options for different palates. The egg roll was nice and crispy, not too oily. The wonton was yummy. The chicken was fine for a skewer, but the other two were my favorites. The crab fried rice was decent. I would prefer a little more crab because as I am writing this out, I don't remember seeing big pieces of crab meat. The crying tiger was a deliciously prepared NY steak. I was able to request how to have the meat prepared and asked for medium rare. The meat had a nice pink color and was tender. There were some fatty pieces, but that is to be expected. We ordered mango sticky rice and asked that it be brought out at the end of the meal. The dessert was prepared as expected. The mango was sweet and the rice was chewy. I liked that the condensed milk was served on the side so we could add it to our liking. The dining room had beautiful decor and artwork along the walls. I spent some of the time waiting for my food looking around and enjoying the art pieces.

Try their Green Thai Tea, it's refreshing with a nice jasmine tea flavor. On my most recent visit with friends, we tried the BBQ Pork. It was okay, but not really my favorite. The Thai Basil Eggplant with chicken was good. I'm still not completely sold on their papaya salad though. It's been a bit hit or miss for me.

The restaurant is located in a small plaza close to my house, which makes it really convenient to visit. When entering, you're greeted by welcoming staff and a short wait time as it's not always too busy there all the time. It is also small inside the restaurant, but that adds to the comforting feeling it gives off. My favorite item on the menu is the drunken noodles with chicken, and I usually pick 3 out of 5 for my spice level. I like that they allow you to choose how spicy you want your food because they are considerate of all spice tolerance levels. If I'm not ordering the drunken noodles, I'm getting the Pad Thai with chicken! I usually place orders over the phone as I tend to get KB's with my family, and they prepare the order so quickly. From my sister's house to the restaurant, it's about 6-7 minutes. After placing my order, it's usually done in 10-15 minutes which is really fast for 3-4 items at a time! Whether you're in the mood for eating out or ordering for pickup, KB's Thai Hut is a great choice for Thai food! I've been coming here consistently for a few years and they do not disappoint! I'd definitely recommend the drunken noodles with chicken and their Lao style papaya salad!

Chicken Satay was smoky and tender with a generous portion of chicken on each skewer. Ancient Pad Thai really surprised me - it has the essence of regular pad thai but more umami with interesting depth of flavor. I highly recommend this one! Pad Ped (Salmon) was also very good but best enjoyed fresh from the kitchen. Lightly battered cubes of salmon tossed in a red curry stir fry with veggies - so delicious! Chicharonnes, boiled egg, fried chicken wings, cabbage for the papaya salad and Lao sausage. I have no complaints about this platter, every single thing was delicious. Papaya was also style. Beef laarb- Lao style- we ordered it cooked because my friend doesn't like medium rare meat, it was on the dry side. It would have been better if it was medium rare. Mango sticky rice- OH MY GOODNESS!! It was Sssoooo goooddd!!! The sauce in it was sweet and salty. Mangoes were the perfect ripeness, it was sweet but not too sweet and just the right firmness. Purple and white sticky rice was smothered with the sauce. I saw a table next to us each get their own mango sticky rice and that was it. That's how good it is.
