I'm only familiar with Salsa on 1, so I got out of my comfort level and tried on 2. It felt soooooo weird, but I'm glad I tried!! Then they opened the floor for social dancing and it got surprisingly crowded. This is a very safe environment. Security checks your bag. I came solo and felt perfectly fine. Many people were solo, guys and female. So, it's a cool vibe. Of course there were couples and groups of people that came together. But in the dance community, it's fine to go solo. People are respectful and really respect dancing. I will say, this is the sort of environment where people are taking classes and coming here to practice, along with plenty of instructors dancing. So there's a lot of flair and showmanship. I was thinking, am I at Dancing With The Stars or what, lol!! Lot's and lot's of turns and endless turn patterns. Less musicality. That's what makes it not my style so much, but a lot of fun for others. The classes were about 1 hour each, organized, and gave you a taste of the different styles. The instructors told everyone where they teach so you could take more classes. As with anyplace, some leads are fantastic and easy to follow, and other leads are still learning and practicing how to lead, so it can be bumpy dancing with them. Especially if its a first time dancing together. Other leads were really smooth and easy and fun to follow. There's a full bar selling beer, wine, and mixed drinks. If you bring a water bottle, it must be empty and they will fill it with water for you. Or you can purchase bottled water. I had a pretty good time and danced several songs and learned Salsa on 2. So it was a solid experience for me. Highly recommend.

I was so impressed, they had a great turn out and the instructors did a great job teaching the basics, but have classes for all different levels! Definitely will be back to try all their classes. They also have salsa, jazzercise, ballroom, etc too. Make sure to bring cash if you want to come, usually they do not take credit cards. Also they have a bar also only takes cash and usually provides snacks and drinks.

I drove about 30 minutes out of my way that morning to attend a yoga class with Kasturi, which was wonderful and absolutely the highlight of my visit. Unfortunately, the experience I had at the front desk before the class was the opposite. I brought my sister with me as a guest as I've done since 2022. My membership allows me to bring guests, and I've done so before without any issues. However, the manager, Stacy, immediately accused us of sharing a membership. This was not true and was honestly embarrassing to be accused of in front of other people. My sister was asked to sign a liability waiver, which is completely understandable. She simply asked to read the waiver before signing it. When she asked if it could be printed so she could read it more easily, she was told that wasn't possible. When I tried to take a photo of the waiver on the screen so we could read it, I was accused of taking a picture of the staff and was told I needed to leave the gym. I've never had an experience like this at any other location since starting my membership years ago. At one point the manager became visibly angry, slamming items on the desk and aggressively pushing the check-in machine toward my sister. She was extremely aggressive and rude. I was also asked to prove that I hadn't taken photos of staff by showing my phone, which I did. Nothing inappropriate was found. The entire interaction was loud, confrontational, and very uncomfortable. I've been a member of LA Fitness for years and have never experienced anything like this at any location. I've never encountered such a lack of professionalism and display of aggression from a staff member before. Again, the yoga class with Kasturi was great and worth the drive, but the front desk interaction made the start of the visit extremely stressful and embarrassing. I hope management looks into how situations like this are handled in the future, because members shouldn't feel accused or publicly embarrassed when simply trying to check in with a guest.

From the moment we approached the desk, we were immediately accused of sharing a membership, which was completely untrue. The interaction felt confrontational right away. When I was asked to sign a guest waiver, I simply requested to read it before signing and asked if it could be printed. I was told it could not be printed. When we tried to take a photo of the waiver on the screen so I could read it more carefully, Stacy accused us of taking a picture of her and escalated the situation further. She demanded to see my sister's phone, including her recently deleted photos, despite there being no photo of her taken. I tried to assure her that "No one wanted a picture of her on their phone" but she still insisted to see my sister's personal photo archives. Once my sister showed Stacy her photo long, both recent and deleted that's was when she was finally able to move past accusing my sister of taking her photo. The exchange became loud and tense, and items were being slammed on the desk during the interaction. It felt hostile and unnecessarily aggressive for what should have been a routine guest check-in. The yoga class itself was wonderful and worth the drive, but the front desk experience was embarrassing and uncomfortable enough that it overshadowed the visit. I hope management takes steps to ensure guests and members are treated with professionalism and respect.

I attended a performance with a band called Orquesta Manplesa (listed as DC's newest and hottest salsa band) and I loved that a dance floor was provided for people to dance on. For that type of music, it is hard to dance on grass. Salsa lessons were provided by Salsa with Silvia during the performance and many took advantage. It was my first time attending. I had so much fun that I went back for another show soon after - Marshall Charloff & The Purple xPeRIeNCE which is listed as the most celebrated tribute to Prince. It certainly was as I had the best time ever. Happy Dancing!!! Tip # 1: Doors open 2 hours before each show. Tip # 2: Check the FAQs before attending. Visited August 2025

First you walk from the parking lot to the old barn, you can see it's located by the entrance roadside, and once you get there, walk down the trail, and keep going. You'll be in sort of intersection on your left but we won't turn left here, keep walking and you'll see a walking path *watch on your right with a (ruined) stone gate alike. Walk across the stone gate, turn left and walk for around 10-15 foot steps and turn right, and keep walking until you'll see a sign of small pond on your left, then you're on the right path. You can walk closer to the pond through the short path on your left (that's what we did) and watched any movement around the water, and we found a turtle from here! Or, you can continue walking down the previous path until you see a bridge on your left. From the bridge, you'll see the biggest beaver dam was created along the water line. How cool is that? Another coolest thing was, we bumped into THE BEAVER!! Aaaahhhh!?! Yeeessss!?! We explored and walked back to the trail and found wineberries patch and mulbery tree, so we stopped there and enjoy the berries! *check your left while walking up the hill. Along the walk, we also found A Story Walk, a Demonstration Garden next to Nature Play Scene, a sleeping Eastern Screech Owl, goats house and chickens house. That's a wrap for our good hike today!
