Updated to reflect the fact that our lessons are with a different teacher (totally fine, she's a…read moregood teacher, it's just different), the space for lessons is insanely small, and the receptionist(s) for the last ~ 6 mo will literally not say a word when you walk into RCM. No eye contact, no hello, no acknowledgment, literally nothing. This isn't one-off, it's every week for half a year. I say this because if I were a new customer (and honestly, even as an existing customer), it's a complete turn off. And we've had an instructor cancel a lesson without being notified. Instructors can be absent but if the student needs to be absent for any reason, that lesson is not rescheduled or refunded. Expensive lessons for poor customer service.

Let me start by saying that we have been customer for a few years now. Our kids rented their band…read moreinstruments. from there. We even purchased her cello from there. The staff was always great and helpful. Fast forward a few years, I inherit a handful of guitars from my father. My father is left handed and I am not. To convert the guitars from left to right is a chore, but not overwhelming. i know how to do the work, but chose to treat myself and have an "expert" do it. I dropped them off we had discussed changing the nut only reconfiguring the bridge if necessary. They sold me new strings and I went on my way. I was so excited when they called me and told me they were ready. I was in a rush when I picked them up. I admit it seemed much cheaper than I had expected, but in my rush I wasn't really paying attention. I got home and tried them out. The action seemed OFF. I again was so busy at that time I did not have a chance to really go over the guitars and thought maybe the new strings were still strechting and were amybe affected by the extreme heat we were having. a few weeks later things had calmed down. I took the guitars out and tried playing and then began to look them over, really look then over. The "expert" only restrung the guitar upside down. Did not change the nut. No bridge adjustment. No phone call saying are you sure ofnthe work we need to do. I called the store and in the manner of service I had been accustomed to they told me to bring them back in and they work take care f them. Io dropped them off received the normal apologies, followed up a few days later from their "expert".listing all of the things that needed to happen. I am/was aware of the work needed, but at this point I have lost all faith in this so called "expert" and just asked him to return the guitars to the shop and I would jit take them elsewhere. As I went to pick them up I thought there might have been some discussion or apology for the "misunderstanding". Nothing. That was the last time I will shop there and cannot ever reccomend them again. I would expect this from Guitar Center, but I think their techs would have at least called the first time to say, "Are you sure of this work?" You have lost a family of customers nor can I recommend you to others.

He is a skillful all around guitarist and was able to teach me jazz music theory in a way that held my attention and to apply it to chord changes, classic be bop songs, etc. I am the better for it and would recommend him highly to a student at any skill level.

The music taught at class has proven to be a great resource as our baby has grown into a toddler. When she was little we were able to connect and engage with her through the T4T songs that she was familiar with and excited by. She provided thirty minutes of non-stop fun which included tapping on the drums, maracas and shakers, finger movement songs, and even a tunnel for the kids to crawl through at the end. It was interactive and fun for both the parents and babies and literally my heart just swells when I think about all the fun the birthday girl had. Even my husband was really surprised by how much our daughter enjoyed everything! Miss Hope was able to keep our crowd controlled from age two months to eight years old-- a feat in itself! My only complaint is that I can't get the "Shake Our Sillies Out" song out of my head!

We did the 0-6month babies class and have continued with these classes ever since. The classes have given us so many tools and games to play with the baby outside of the class too. The curriculum is smart and well balanced and the instructors are everything you'd hope for in a music teacher for your little ones. One of the best things is seeing the baby connect with movements and melodies week to week and we now have sooooo many more songs to sing together beyond maybe the 5 that I remembered from my own childhood. My son is in kindergarten now, but he still listens to the CD's and his favorite afterschool activity is "Vocal Tech", which I'm sure is because of these classes. I loved Mr. Steve's classes best, but Libby's classes were very good too. It was easy to reschedule if needed, so keep that in mind. They also do birthday parties, which are super fun for toddlers.

You can see (and hear) how she is progressing every week. She particularly loves the songs she gets to practice with me too. Justin has been teaching my son the keyboard and is a terrific teacher. He makes learning the instrument really fun and I find my son practicing without me even telling him to so. As an added bonus, it is great they are willing to come to your home to teach. We have been part of another nearby music school, but Jeff and Justin have exceeded our expectations and raised the bar in the teaching of music to kids.

The books that she teaches from is also very fun for young kids to learn from (Bastien beginner books) and are easy to order from online. Her studio has all the tools needed to start a new piano journey! She is also great at duetting with the girls during practice and recitals, matching their pace and skill level. It makes a big difference to give them confidence in their pieces. We also have had a great time at the two recitals for our kids, and they are well organized by Anastasia. She lets the kids choose pieces that they enjoy and like. It is amazing to see kids of all ages performing their works, from the most beginner to advanced students.
