Recently moved to this area and decided to do a search for a beauty school as I was in desperate…read moreneed of a trim, but not wanting to shell out $35 for it. I called, and was quoted $11. I happily came over and was greeted by a really kind lady at the front desk that I believe was one of the instructors. She asked what I was looking to get done, and had me sign in had me pay. She said because the hair was over shoulder length they charge a length fee of an additional $10. Which honestly, that is a very reasonable policy, and $21 is still cheaper than any hair salon ice been to. After a couple minutes handed me over to a student named Patricia. Patricia did a great job and was quick and skilled in her art. She offered a shampoo or for it to dry after as they spray it generously to cut, but I opted for neither as I was on my way home from work and planning to shower once I got home anyway. Definitely will be returning when I want something done with my hair as prices are reasonable, and the people seem friendly.

I was informed that they did but I'd need to come in for a quote/consultation. I went there this past Monday and waited at front desk for 5 mins or so. I decided to ask the person working 10 feet from me if there was anyone taking care of the desk. A woman a few stations down said that she'd be there in a few. When she finally got to me I asked for the price for braids. Was informed that they didn't do braids. I pointed to their price board that had a price for braids, was told that they only did short braids no extensions. If they are teaching students how to waste a (potential) client's time, this is the place to go.

Awsome. Great. So glad we found this place…read more This is an excellent place for young musicians to connect with other musicians and to work in Band like settings and perform. Forrest at the Silver Spring location is really great and he extract the most out of the kids in a really positive environment. My son has been to many music schools and lessons over the years and this really is an outstanding program. The best part is it really has many kids who are really musically inclined, talented and willing to work in a group setting. The performances are very impressive and fun to watch. I can not say enough good things about it. The price is very reasonable and they don't pressure you to subscribe to packages or long term contracts - if you pull out you don't pay any more. They focus on who wants to be there. Give it a try - much better than similar programs in Bethesda.

I just ended my employment here after 5 months. I was only afford a couple hours on Sundays for…read morework with the promise that I would be able to pick up more students and days quickly. I was given $15 an hour while working less than 4 hours a week. The lessons aren't even an hour long so i was hardly even being paid to provide expert professional lessons to young children. Essentially I was an underpaid babysitter. On top of being unable to provide employment, my one day that i worked ranged from 3-4 hours a day where i was teaching drums and guitar back to back. I was not given any space of time to switch gears as well as i had to change rooms between each lesson. This was made more difficult by a manager who would pester me about getting out of one lesson to go to the next, presumably because if i went over on the lessons i would then go over on my work time and therefore have to be paid for more than just the minutes where i was in lessons. My last day of employment, I had called in an hour before i was to be there, as I was sick, I had been seeking a day off so as to recover and not come in with an unknown illness that might be contagious. I contacted the manager who proceeded to berate me about her personal issues and was told that because other teachers had called out on other days this week she was unwilling to contact my students and cancel my lessons. I was also told to consume whatever quantity of cough syrup i needed and chase that with vitamin C. I showed up for these lessons, first student didn't even show up. I spent the next two days trying to work out in my head what had happened so that i could contact the manager to follow up without carrying my personal baggage to the conversation. The manager tried to make contact to "discuss School of Rock's staffing policy". I received this message the day after my lessons which i taught while carrying a sickness. As I had missed the managers call, this was the first point of contact she made with me following what had happened, which set me off and so i took an extra day to clear my head, fearing the harassment from my employer of being unwilling to understand or care for my needs as an employee. There was one or two more attempts made at contacting me before what happened next. After three days i received, an email to my inbox stating that my employment had been terminated. I work another job that provides me with just short of full time employment, yet left me availability to work at School of Rock on any day of the week. I had never called out sick prior to this situation. and had been forced to miss/move lessons to cover other people's call outs, mostly made the day of the class or lesson that needed covering. I feel very strongly that I was treated with disdain and profiled as an irresponsible person and made to feel outcast by this organization because of my status as a musician. To the point where i feel that supporting musicians means not enrolling in School of Rock. To my students: I am very sorry that I could not say bye or finish lessons that I had started with you. That is unacceptable.

This woman has failed to deliver my message to the delegates and executives of the organization. I had repeatedly requested to have my voice heard from the traumatic, and prejudice experienced that I had endured. Due to the, unprofessional interviewer Gsheneworke Bekele; this interviewer was campaigning to make false allegations against my wife giving me answers during my interview. This women saw read that I was in an interracial married and were making inappropriate scenarios questions related to my life, married, and family. After, informing the person, Sara Fostered, who is supposed to investigate and mitigate this situation about this tragedy. This poorly managed worker responded back with a completely dismissive statement regarding everything that I had informed her throughout my interview process was my fault. She just chopped out & swept under the rug stating thatI should have lesser noises occurring in my background. Where is the facts of that? what oblivious and obnoxious noises were there? For Pete sake we live a metropolitan area and at that in busy city and an apartment. I feel completely ashamed and embarrassed about myself because of these people. To add injury to insult, they constantly accused me of seeking help from my wife (do you view me as incompetent person, impotent person)? Please, refer to title xl manager Sara Foster and Gsheneworke Bekele. Not to mention, the interviewer herself; Ms. Gsheneworke was the person completely dishonest and distracted throughout the interview. She was constantly looking over to some individual in her area; she was making hand gestures to the individual constantly. Forgetting were she left off on the questions she was asking because she was distracted. Moreover, she was having connectivity issues on her end because she alluded to there being lag throughout our entire interview (I heard everything completely fine and answered the questions promptly). To expand further, she kept falsely claiming and insinuating that the "internet connection was staggering her". Additionally, she mentioned very incoherent and inappropriate scenarios questions which she questioned "what if there is a crying baby in your background how would you resolve that issue during your studies" and "what if there is a aggressive or angry woman in who writes a ticket for an issues, how would you respond to that" the way how she stated the question seemed personal and very passionate. Furthermore, she was very focused on my wife trying to soothe our newborn daughter who is 3 month old by hushing her and talking to her in a low voice and gentle voice because she was aware and knew how important this interview was for me. Also, I had sent them an email this morning but I haven't heard anything back yet.
