His teaching style is clear, patient, and practical--he focuses on real-world driving techniques that prepare you not only to pass the CDL exam but also to drive safely and professionally afterward. Mr. Safe is extremely accessible and easy-going, always making time for his students. He works tirelessly every day until 7pm to ensure no one is left behind. Beyond being a skilled instructor, he is a kindhearted, genuine gentleman who truly cares about the success of his students. His professionalism, encouragement, and deep knowledge of CDL requirements made the entire process smooth and stress-free. A special mention also goes to his assistant Jimmy, who is a great man as well--always supportive, respectful, and ready to help students succeed. Together, they create a very welcoming and motivating environment. Because of their guidance, I passed the Virginia CDL exam and now hold my CDL license. I highly recommend CDL Safe Driving Academy to anyone serious about getting their CDL. If you want instructors who are patient, dedicated, and sincerely invested in your success, Mr. Safe and his team are the best!

After visiting several schools, I chose ITC thinking it was the best choice for my training. However, let's just say the deception they present is GREAT-this is what the should be teaching, "How to deceive people 101" The school is clean and in a quiet location-seems like the perfect learning environment, right? Once again, DECEPTIVE! In the end I realized this school only appeared like this due to lack of utilization of staff & students that's missing for the majority first parts of the day. I attended a fast paced CompTIA A+ program 3 weeks-which I thought was pretty fast for someone new to the IT field-and I was right, I didn't learn SHIT! Though I can only speak for myself, it was clear that other classmates in the small class felt the same way. From day one there were issues. The staff at this establishment was NEVER on time in the morning. So, if you're in a 8AM class don't expect it to start on time... think more think more like 830/45. Forgot to mention the class is only 4 hours and 4 days a week. The instructor doesn't teach-he simply tells you the book is stupid and to listen to what he's saying- not to mention, WE WERE NOT ALLOWED RO TAKE NOTES..something I've never heard of in my entire life when it comes to education. In my opinion, it's completely impossible to obtain A+ or and other training in a matter of 3 weeks. There's very little to no hands on training when it comes to practical skills and when it comes to testing your knowledge?-lol GOOD LUCK. This is a concept that simply doesn't exist. As far as the other staff...we will get to that very soon. Before we do, let me say I was thankful enough to have my training (so-called) paid for by an organization ( Which was by far the best in helping overall-the .org NOT THE SCHOOL) instead of it coming out my pocket. However, please understand that this just gives them more of a reason to f#(K you over. I was flat out lied to by the Dean/CEO of the school who told me that training had been approved when it wasn't. After completing the so-called IT training, I received a phone call from a staff member stating that I needed to come back to fulfill ' "My contract obligations" -once again, AFTER COMPLETING TRAINING, I was told I needed to return to fulfill obligations. After doing more research, I found out that the LIED to my face in order to reel me in and that funding hadn't been approved until very recently. After several phone calls between multiple parties. I was basically told I need to come back to training to, " fulfill" my obligations or face legal action-which I assume was means try to send me to collections or file a lawsuit against me. In the end I didn't go back. If you attend here, You will call your self a fool later and realize that you can't get wasted time back. Here's the short: I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone-actually I'll recommend it to your toddler if you're looking for a babysitter. The practices of the place (I refuse to call a school) are unethical and deceptive. The Teaching style is completely unknown because your not taught anything at all and the staff just seems as if they are all their for a paycheck and not really to help you advance your career. I'm not sure if I should blame the staff or if they're just doing what their master says. He's simply someone who hides behind his flunky who can't even man up to resolves his own issues as a man that he created. Here's a complete of places I recommend looking into before you decide to waste your life in this hellhole CTI (Career Technical Institution ) VETS for America DC ( You don't have to be a VETERAN ) UNIVERSITY OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. -Toodles

I had an extremely bad experience with Bennett Career Institute. I arrived at my scheduled…read moreappointment on time. However, there was a 30+ minute wait after the scheduled appointment time for someone to get started on my hair. I wasn't upset but the unexpected delay would make me late to an appointment afterwards. I was in communication with the front desk to cancel the appointment, she had me submit the cancellation ticket to the lead instructor Ms. Angel Brown who became extremely unprofessional and hostile, acting like she was about to fight me and yelling disrespectfully even though I remained calm. The Front Desk staff was Tara Gregg and Reon White was there to witness everything as it happened. I let Ms. Gregg know that I would be filing a complaint. Afterwards I emailed Roberta Bennett whose email address was listed on their website (who turns out to be the owner's sister). She reported the incident to the owner, Chet Bennett and to Ms. Brown. After a chain of email exchanges, I eventually spoke to Chet Bennett in person and told him exactly what happened as it happened. He apologized and said he would speak with her. I decided not to continue going there for appointments anymore, but almost half a year later I called to schedule an appointment (not for me) but for my daughter. The receptionist, Ms. Gregg, was very rude and just hung up on me. I went in person and spoke with another staff person who eventually told me that they would not offer any hair services to my child. The staff person apologized and didn't understand why the owner was handling it this way. Instead of hanging up when I called I don't understand why it was not clearly stated over the phone, or even better, half a year ago when I first reported the incident. It seems so childish and petty to hang up the phone on a customer instead of directly stating they are refusing to service my daughter because I complained about a staff person (Ms. Brown) being confrontational. The lack of professionalism, customer service, and accountability was shocking. Customers deserve to be treated respectfully. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I rarely rate 1 star, but just know that when I do it is very well deserved.

I am writing to counteract the awful reviews I see here and give another side of the story. I was retiring from a career as a public school teacher and wanted to learn more about live music. I have a passion for attending live shows and thought this would be an interesting way to further that passion. As a middle-aged woman I was in the minority! Often folks thought I was some student's mother! Every teacher, every employee of Omega treated me with the greatest respect, encouraged me and supported me at every turn. I'm sorry others had a bad experience with Pete, the owner, but I found him to be gracious, and extremely knowledgable in his field. Perhaps you are the kind of person who can learn from the internet, or from experience on your own. I wasn't and a large number of fellow students seem to be the same. The students who succeed are the ones who set aside life's fun and games for a while and devoted themselves to study and practice. If you finish (and really who needs a graduation - never been to one in my life and I have a master's degree) and don't get a job in the field that's on you. Robert provides many opportunities for entry level positions. Yes, and even with your much more expensive 4 year degree you may start working at an entry level position. Please consider that unhappy people are the ones who write reviews. Satisfied folks aren't motivated! And why are all the positive reviews in the "not recommended" part of Yelp? I am now in my 3rd year of retired life, touring the country with a blues/rock band and thankful for my decision to attend Omega.

You should remember that the man who was in charge of the graduations had health issues and nobody took over his duties at this unprofessional establishment & NO ONE let any of the students know what was going on. You may not have been working there when the assault took place but it did indeed happen. You wanna call me a liar, I can name names. You act like a whole classroom of students didn't witness it. Yall lied abt firing him & you're STILL lying abt it. Robert, the man who supposedly helps with job placement, never returned phone calls & in that convo abt hopes & dreams & future jobs didn't actually listen to or care abt what field you wanted to pursue. Another reviewer mentioned touring w/ a band. Yes, that's abt all one is going to find out here. Most ppl cannot pack up & follow a band around. Most ppl going to Omega are not retirees looking for their late life career. MOST ppl coming to Omega are young and need a steady job upon leaving to pay off the massive debt they just incurred. And no, Omega does not have enough jobs for all the students they take in. I never wanted to leave a one star review for this school. I finally got Peterson on the phone (after him ducking me & lying abt calling me back) to see if there was ANYTHING that could be done to resolve our issues & the whole conversation was him condescending to me, lying & stonewalling. I was hoping Omega would be everything yall made it out to be. But the lying starts w/ Mr Goldstein promising WAY more than yall are caple of, it continues w/ Mr Peterson who carelessly brushed me off & apparently they now use you to come on here & harass legitimate reviewers....THREE yrs later.

I happily came over and was greeted by a really kind lady at the front desk that I believe was one of the instructors. She asked what I was looking to get done, and had me sign in had me pay. She said because the hair was over shoulder length they charge a length fee of an additional $10. Which honestly, that is a very reasonable policy, and $21 is still cheaper than any hair salon ice been to. After a couple minutes handed me over to a student named Patricia. Patricia did a great job and was quick and skilled in her art. She offered a shampoo or for it to dry after as they spray it generously to cut, but I opted for neither as I was on my way home from work and planning to shower once I got home anyway. Definitely will be returning when I want something done with my hair as prices are reasonable, and the people seem friendly.

I was informed that they did but I'd need to come in for a quote/consultation. I went there this past Monday and waited at front desk for 5 mins or so. I decided to ask the person working 10 feet from me if there was anyone taking care of the desk. A woman a few stations down said that she'd be there in a few. When she finally got to me I asked for the price for braids. Was informed that they didn't do braids. I pointed to their price board that had a price for braids, was told that they only did short braids no extensions. If they are teaching students how to waste a (potential) client's time, this is the place to go.
