The first year they took over I Rec'd bill after bill that had different amts. I called and never red'c a return call from the mgr. I finally went over and spoke to her and found her to be rather arrogant. The bottom line is my bill has gone up 43%+ since they took over. Recently I Rec'd a notice that they didn't have insurance info for me and I needed to provide it to avoid them charging me for their ins. I immediately provided what they requested via email and the next thing I know my bill shows the ins charge. I called and spoke to a call center person who was no help and said she would have the mgr call me. Needless to say after a week the mgr had not called me back. I called again the and the person I spoke to said she would have the Dist Mgr call me back. After 4 days still no return call. I called a 3rd time and finally did speak to the mgr (who never apologized for not returning my call), she claims they got my info and credited my bill. We'll see what the next bill looks like. The problem with a storage service is they kind of have you locked in, who wants to be moving their stuff?

They indicated that the Ac problem was now being addressed and they did, in fact, issue a refund. If we had been acknowledged sooner, we wouldn't have switched. We appreciated the response... we have been using this storage facility for over a year and it was fine until recently. i'm not sure if ownership has changed but something is clearly wrong. it is supposed to be climate controlled, but they have the heat on in 90+ degree weather. we have tried to have this situation remedied numerous times, and no one will do anything about it!!

We pulled in and were immediately entertained by the wide open gate that would allow anyone to drive up and have access to your storage. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and go inside and check it out anyway.. Opened the office door and we were greeted by a wall of smoke. The kind of odor that could only be created by a several pack-a-day habit. The desk attendant (who lives on premise) started out the convo by telling us about how safe and secure the facility was (apparently unaware that the gate was wide open) and accidentally mentioned that there had been a few issues at night, but when I asked about it, she refused to go into detail. She also revealed that she had only been in charge of this place for 5 days. We took a card and ran out the door for some fresh air. As we got in the car, the gate was still open, haha. Cheapest truck rental in the area though. But you get what you pay for...

I work in a position that requires every aspect of my job to be in place before the actual encounter date. I expected this company to be professionals and have everything in line before the moving date. In hindsight I see why the two moving companies I called before Garden State said they would send someone over a guy to do an estimate. The movers came and said nothing to me about not being packed correctly. I left for a moment and the foreman called Nicole and said I did not pack right. I'm no professional but I thought I did a great job. Nicole decided since I had three guys, (mind you the new guy was sick most of the move) and I did not pack right that she was raising the rate from $145 an hr. to $190 an hr. and taking away the 10% discount agreed upon in the contract. My bed is not properly put together, and I can't find screws for tv stands and other things, it's just a mess. I rely heavily on honest reviews, and I am happy that others seemed to have a good experience. Not me. BEWARE!!!

I had a very heavy 6ft bathroom vanity with a 1 in granite top that I needed moved to a 2nd floor…read morebathroom. The vanity had to be over 500#. Home Depot dropped it in my doorway and refused to bring it any further. I called Garden State movers on a Saturday to which a very friendly lady took all my info, explained everything I needed to know, gave me a price, and gave me the time that they were arriving within a hour. A half hour before they came I received a phone call telling me exactly when they would arrive. When the 2 gentlemen arrived they introduced they're selves with a hand shake, and they then scoped out the job first. I questioned them that there was only 2 of them, how would they be be able to lift the vanity even though they Both were pretty buff. They had the vanity and the top in the bathroom in matter of 10 minutes. They were both very careful watching that they didn't drop or bang the vanity. During the whole move, I was impressed that they verbally talked the move to each other while making the move. I would use Garden state again, and I would highly recommend 3
