The service department at Simply Ride is the absolute best in town. Their prices are fair and the work is top notch. You can tell that the employees love working here as their attitude and willingness to go the extra mile is apparent in their actions. I am, and always will be a loyal customer. Terrible customer service. Was strung along with my credit being pulled to find out the bike was already sold. Simplyride ran my credit all over the place only to get terrible rates from only their favored lender. I informed them only to run a specific lender of which I am already of customer of with tier 1 rates, to be told the rates are worse then their preferred lender. All this to find out the bike I was trying to purchase was already sold. Lack of communication and willingness to string me along and unnecessarily running my credit. Wouldn't answer the phone or respond. Waited hours and between messages trying to make a deal happen. Happily purchased elsewhere. read more

Went in to look at an ATV. WOW! I had no idea about this place. They have side by sides and ATVs sure, but they had so many bikes. Harley Davidson, Indian, and loads of other street bikes as well as dirt bikes. My head was spinning and the memories of all the fun I had before on Enduros, Dirt, and street bikes flooded my thoughts. I bought the ATV I came in for but I will be back. Everyone was so cool. I stopped in almost 10 years ago after seeing an HD Night Rod Special online and reading some positive reviews of both the bike and Simply Ride. They answered my many questions and we made a deal. I had a great experience then, used them for service, and upgraded my riding gear over the years. I appreciated the upfront discussion on what and wasn't serviceable on the HD with them not being a dealer. Fast forward to 2022, several thousand miles later, and a new bike itch. While casually browsing I found a Ducati Monster 1200 in their inventory, a model I'd previously ridden and pined since, at a good price. Michael gave me a very fair price on trading in the Night Rod Special and I happily switched from American to Italian for the time being. Another great experience. read more

The service dept is a life saver! I was on a 4,500 mile road trip and was in need of a replacement rear tire. I was in a remote area in Wisconsin for a week and couldn't find any motorcycle shop within a few hrs of where I was that could get me a tire within a week. I was going to be passing through Minneapolis on the ride back to CA and was lucky enough to find Simply Street Bikes online. I talked with Alex, explained my situation, that I'd be in Minneapolis in a few days and was in desperate need of a new tire. Alex took my information, said he'd call back, and he did call back quickly to confirm they had the tire I needed and that they could fit me in even though they were booked up on the day I'd be passing through. A friend recommended I check SSB out when looking for a motorcycle. So glad I did! They have a great selection, set their no-haggle prices to be competitive and were very easy to work with. The sales guy I worked with Steve Bauer was great. I got introduced to multiple people at Simply Street Bikes as well parts, service and finance along the way too. I'll start by saying if I could give ZERO starts I would. This was without a doubt the WORST customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. Over 50 years of visiting stores! Here's the story. I was about to purchase a motorcycle, so I was looking at helmets as well. My buddy called me at that moment so I was on the phone. There was a bench next to a rack of helmets so I placed my jacket there while talking. A few minutes later I sat on the bench and my jacket shifted and knocked a helmet off the bottom shelf. Mind you the shelf was about 15 inches off the floor. Some guy(apparently the owner?) from across the room heard it and came over to let me know I then had to buy it. Interrupted me on the phone as well. I thought for sure he was joking and I had no idea who he was. Just to be sure I looked the helmet over and there wasn't a mark on it, none whatsoever! Obviously, I'd feel horrible if I damaged someone else's property. So after my call ended I grabbed my jacket and that's when some poor guy came over and said he was going to box up the helmet for me. The apparent owner didn't even have the balls to tell me himself. I told the guy I am not purchasing that helmet. So he left and a minute later the original guy came to tell me I needed to buy the helmet. I said NO, the helmet was precariously placed on a shelf so much so that my jacket can knock it off and it was an accident. Not to mention, if the bench is there, people WILL sit on it. We went back and forth a bit and he decided to kick me out of his store, lol. Remember I don't even know who this guy is. He never introduced himself and had NO identifying tags on, nothing. So, I was kicked out even though I was about to buy a brand new motorcycle, probably a helmet and a jacket as well. I'm still amazed they would treat a customer like that. Maybe the dude was having a bad day, I don't know but I'd highly recommend going somewhere else for a motorcycle purchase. I then went to Motoprimo in Lakeville and they were excellent! I got the bike I wanted for a much better price and I was treated with RESPECT! Side note: You are NEVER obligated to buy something you damage in a store unless you are negligent in some way, and the store has to prove that. read more

I stood there by the parts dept for about 45 minutes. NO HELP at all. When the guy wasn't on the phone, he was BS'ing with his friend. I was in pretty early on a weekday. No other customers in the entire store. Gave up on parts and decided to see if sales was the same. Yep, they were, looked over a bike for another half hour. NO sales came to talk to me. SSB is my favorite LBS (local bike shop). Even if they weren't in my backyard here in Eden Prairie, I'd still be a loyal patron. I've been to almost all of the big and small shops in the Twin Cities worth naming and with a decent track record. I've had good and back experiences all over from service to parts (never purchased from any dealers - only Craigslist). I won't name any other shops here and I won't comment on any experiences. But, here's a hint. Check my Yelp profile and reviews; as of this date and review, you won't see a review for any other LBS in the Twin Cities except SSB. I've never bought a bike there, but I have stored, serviced, and bought parts for my Yamaha FJR1300. I've been a customer for about 3 years. Everyone I've dealt with has been rock solid professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I don't play favorites, but Ben and the parts team have been very helpful in getting me bike parts, sourcing a new top case I just had to have from Givi, as well as misc. small stuff. I also appreciate how Ben and team keep me in the loop on answers to questions when researching parts, ordering, and when things come i. They use e-mail and phone. I must have gone back and forth with Ben on this case purchase at least a dozen times through e-mail and phone -- just a little OCD on my part. He never complained and he got me what I wanted. And even though I told him I prefer to support the LBS over online sources, He matched online pricing with hardly a prompt from me. Also, a shout out to the service department. They have supported scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for me without a hitch. They even worked me in this spring at the last minute for an oil change I didn't want to take on-- right in the middle of getting their spring bikes out the door. Not a complaint or excuse at all about how busy they were, but they sure were busy! Also with service and comparing to othe shops in town, their rates are in line. My experience with the service department efficiency and response is exceptional. At the start of last year the tech caught a fork seal leak. When I asked about options, they were all help. They did some research and I did my own. I'm a big guy at 6'3" and 260 and I tour every year and haul camping gear (Yeah... I need an adventure bike, not a sport touring bike!). My research led me to a a custom suspension from Germany tuned to me and my trip loads. My bike was in storage at SSB at the time. I asked if I could get them to install and setup the new suspension and they didn't blink. Again, all help! I drop-shipped to SSB. and they had the whole thing set-up when I picked up from storage. One stop shopping! The parts department has a small, but decent selection of in-stock items, but they can get most anything you want unless it is dealer-restricted (e.g., I don't think you can get a Schuberth helmet there.) But from OEM bike stuff to other farkles and accessories, they seem to have the full range of any other shop. Goinig back to my top case, Ben got if for me in just under a week when many other online retailers were showing it not available or in back order. They don't sell new bikes, but they have good inventory and it seems to change over pretty well. If they ever get a world-class adventure tourer coming through the door (something I'm told is rare), and the timing is right, I might have to update this review to comment on the sales team. Based on my experience so far, I'd say the whole place is top notch. Since SSB serves all the areas I'm interested in, there is no need to go anywhere else. Having them a few miles from me is helpful, but not essential. read more

After moving back to MN from Santa Monica, I was nervous about finding a reliable motorcycle shop/store with good variety of products. I stopped into Simply Street Bikes one day after reading positive reviews. Staff at the door was very friendly and helpful. I told them what I was looking for and was taken back to the service department and introduced to the manager (I am forgetting names throughout this review). He took the time to talk to me and even checked out a few concerns I had on my Honda 599. When I asked about track days, I was introduced to another service associate who gave me information on a local school. I have since purchased parts and fluids from them andSidi boots there last season. I just stopped in and got a great deal on a close out Shoei helmet for the spring. I will definitely stopping in this summer for service and my future needs. TL/DR: Great staff that are knowledgable and appear to enjoy what they are doing and offer honest opinions. My dad took his bike in to get something small fixed and they gave him back the bike with different tires. They then told him he needed new tires. We only ever buy one type of tire because we get a discount on Michelin tires. Now the rims are scratched from where they switched out the tires and we have Bridgestone tires now. I'm pissed that they thought they could do that because he's an older guy or some shit but we're never going back. read more

I've only been there a couple of times, but each time I go I'm very happy with the experience. Nice selection of used bikes, and first class service by very knowledgeable staff. Prices are good (bought a set of tires there, significantly cheaper than Amazon, even including mounting), and while they installed those, they fixed up a few other issues I was having for only $50 more. And they did it all very quickly. Over the years, I've had mixed experiences with various auto/bike service, so when I find a reliable mechanic, I keep going back. I'll be going back to SSB. I went in to get a funky looking nut for my brothers motorcycle because I couldn't find one anywhere else. The dude in the parts department didn't charge me for it, which is pretty cool. I thought I might as well look around, since I was planning on getting a bike of my own when spring rolled around (this was mid January). I don't know much about motorcycles, but Jeff was nice, answered questions, and showed me the bikes i was looking at online. He wasn't pushing me towards anything, but pointed out that the prices were going to go up after about a month when riding weather was a little closer. They delivered the Triumph to my house for free, and I saved at least $200, judging by how much the other bikes rose in price. Very happy with the bike, service, and just about everything! I'll be back when its time to upgrade, or just switch to a bike that's more friendly to my back. read more

Today should've been a great day as I got ready to fulfill a life's dream of buying a new motorcycle. I had been saving for quite some time, and all of the money was burning a hole in my account. I walked into Simply Street Bikes in Eden Prairie full of excitement, and seeing a slower store with 5-6 employees I started browsing waiting to be approached. Several employees made eye contact so I was certain it would be any moment, but as minutes turned to over a half hour my day's excitement turned to complete disbelief. Employees were not helping other people, but simply just ignoring me. At the point of being so completely disregarded you start to wonder how long you could stand there before anyone felt like actually working, but forty minutes was all I could take. Last fall I totaled my motorcycle (someone hit me at a 4-way stop). Because it was late in the riding season, I really wanted a decent used, low-mileage bike to finish out the season. A work colleague told me to check out Simply Street Bikes. I did and man was I glad I did. They have a huge inventory of used, reasonably-priced bikes. Although the bike I originally went in to check out had just been sold, they had another that worked for me. Because I paid cash for the bike (from my insurance settlement) the process went extremely smooth and fast. But more than anything, I was super impressed with the staff. They were knowledgeable about every make of bike on their showroom floor, as well as extremely friendly and helpful. And after the sale, the guy who sold me the bike emailed me asking if everything was OK. Since then, they invite me to all their special events.
