I went at 3 pm with my specs and no one was there. I then called, and no one answered. After returning home, I received a call from Jennifer apologizing for not being there. I then arranged to email them specs, photo, and detailed info. No response after sending. I re-sent the email the following day, and two weeks later- still no response! I was finally ready to lay down the money on my kitchen remodel, but after this experience, I am hesitant. Really frustrated after having this happen on my first time. There were a few problems, like cabinet damage during manufacturer shipping, and two different drawers that needed slides replaced. In each case, the interaction at the store has been easy and friendly, and the problems resolved swiftly. I was frustrated at one point, but it turned out to be my own fault: Rather than calling or dropping by the store, I was sending emails and getting no replies. I later found out that the emails were going to employees that were no longer there. The staff is friendly, and if you drop by the store, the owner will personally greet you and make sure you are happy.

Our dishwasher was defective and had multiple issues after one or two uses. Thermador service came out and said the drain pump and circuit board were bad. Yes, you heard me right on a brand new dishwasher! Universal would not replace it with a new one without Thermador approval. Dealing with Thermador has been a complete circus especially when their repairman left our house without resolution. There were numerous confusing emails and phone calls that were just wasting my time. I refused to have a rebuilt new dishwasher and all I asked is to have new one. My view is that I didn't buy the dishwasher from Thermador as this is a Universal responsibility to rectify. Still no resolution and I gave up. Very poor customer service as this dishwasher was a a lemon and would expect Universal to work behind the scenes with Thermador and supply me a new one at no cost to me. So in the meantime my wife and I continue to hand wash dishes in our new remodeled kitchen. We plan to buy a new one from another supplier who stands behind their products. The old one will be removed and delivered to Universal to salvage for junk. Igor - would like to hear your response and I don't want to hear there is nothing you can do without Thermador approval. You should know as a business owner that this can be handled internally between you and Thermador and might cost you some $ but that is what what good businesses do to stand behind their products and meet the customers needs.
