I was in need of a casino-themed specialty cake last minute for my mom's birthday, so I called on a Monday and provided them a inspo photo via email and they were able to handle the request for that upcoming Saturday morning! The owners were super friendly and helpful when talking with me over the phone to build the type of cake I wanted. The cake came out PERFECTLY as I had hoped and it tasted equally as good! Price is also reasonable for the quality that you get. This is the second specialty cake I've ordered from this bakery and it won't be the last. Highly recommend!

Simply cakes is simply the best!!! They made this awesome and perfect Cocomelon cake for my baby's first birthday yesterday. I was honestly blown away by the details!!! Definitely turned out better than I imagined and surpassed the sample inspiration photo. Truly a cute, memorable cake!!! The cake was also very delicious and moist. I have been to this bakery and gotten many baked goods that I enjoyed. For Mothers Day I wanted to get a specialty cake. My mom loves Disney and decided to get her a Minnie Mouse cake. It would have marble cake and barvarian cream filling. I ordered before hand and they were super helpful. I was trying to email them a picture for cake but could not email correctly so they searched for me and found a picture that was simiar to mine. When I finally picked it up they made sure that cake was boxed right so that the cake would not get messed up and inform me were the sticks were so we would not eat them by accident. I love the cake. It was super moist and flavor had the right amount of sweetness. My mom loved it.

Not a snobby place, but a really fun, welcoming place!! Greg showed me the sugar free offerings, which I wasn't even expecting to see. They've been experimenting and making these for about 6 months, and I think they've arrived!!! The chocolate chip cookies (sugar free) are Wonderful -- EVEN for those of us who crave sugar! Great texture and flavor. Be sure to call before you go, so they'll be certain to have them ready for you, as they bake them specially in small batches. They've been there since 1998! It's a New place for me, and I'll be back! Mmmmmmm.

Nailed it!! We got exactly what we asked for. I thought cake was a little dry, but it actually wasn't. We let it sit at room temperature and after that it was game over, a cup of milk or coffee with the cake was just fabulous. Definitely recommend it. We ordered chocolate cake and was delightful. Pina colada Macaroons Bomb.com ambiance is excellent. Service immaculate. 10/10 on energy and deliciousness. Man, lemon bar a hit as well, definitely lemon flavor. Not too sweet just enough sugar. I'd have loved to try a cupcake or such but never had the chance. I walked in and waited. Nobody around. A guy came from the back, showed me a bell and told me if I needed help to ring it - and left to the back. I stood at the counter, alone, for about ten minutes. Yes, I needed help with my purchase. I glanced around the dirty store and saw some old Valentine (today is 2/28) cakes in a bare cooler. Decided to not ring the bell if this was a representation of their service. read more

They made the cake for my parents' 50 wedding anniversary party. It exceeded all of our expectations! Gorgeously decorated, delivered perfectly to the party venue in Fontana, and it tasted amazing! All of the guests and my folks raved about how pretty and delicious the cake was. My mom mentioned that the baker even called her the day before the party to ask about the colors of the frosting roses to get the perfect colors she wanted, and they turned out lovely. I highly recommend Simply Cakes Etc Bakery. Greg and Richard prepared a beautiful 3/4 sheet chocolate cake with chocolate fudge icing for my Dad's Celebration of Life event. Not only was the cake gorgeous to look at, (mad at myself for not taking a photo) it was SO DELICIOUS! Received many compliments from guests. Because my Dad was a veteran, they waived the delivery fee to nearby, Indian Hills Golf Club. read more

I have since ordered two cakes from Simply Cakes and they did not disappoint! Simply Cakes was originally recommended to me by some family friends. In March, I ordered a gender reveal cake with marble cake and raspberry filling and not only was the cake gorgeous but it tasted fantastic! I already knew the gender so it was more of a celebratory cake than a reveal cake. I loved everything about the cake that I ordered my baby shower cake from them last weekend. Another gorgeous and delicious cake with raspberry swirl cake with a lemon custard filling. I also found out (after I had already bought mine) that they make cake toppers! Something that I will definitely take advantage of next time. All of my guests raved about the cakes and I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks! read more

I was once a strong supporter of simply cakes since 2010 when I ordered my wedding cake. Every year I would order my wife's, and children's cakes from them. The taste and quality of the cakes is a solid ten but for my past three events with a call ahead order ranging one to one - two months out, I've been denied service stating they were all booked up. I've pushed this cake shop tons of business and it's sad to say I don't see the same passion or effort from the staff (richard) anymore. What a shame... read more

I just ordered a fantastic 2-tier ivory petal cake and a variety of desserts for my dessert bar for our wedding after having to change the date, vendors and location of venue three times! Simply Cakes Bakery Etc. was very accommodating and responded to my emails in a timely manner. After giving them my color swatches and a photo of inspiration, they truly delivered. I was able to pay conveniently through an online service which was helpful considering I do not live in the area. Their blueberry filled cream puffs were raved about all night and the marble cake with cookies and cream filling went well with our BBQ dinner. We also ordered raspberry thumbprint cookies and chocolate covered pretzels. Our guests were delighted and went for seconds and thirds. read more

We had such a wonderful experience at Simply Cakes. From setting up my appointment online, meeting Jennifer and sampling the delicious flavors, to delivery, the process was so easy! She made awesome suggestions and we settled on a textured 3-tier cake with strawberry, lemon, and raspberry filling. It was gorgeous and our guests loved it! I ordered my son's medical school graduation cake over the telephone and through emails, since I don't live in the area. This company was so professional, attentive, detail oriented, easy to work with, and overall amazing! They went over every step, paid attention to all details that I wanted on the cake and more. The cake turned out amazing and tasted sooooo good! It was better than we could of ever expected, especially since we never met them or even visited their shop! I high recommended Simply Cakes! Went in earlier today to inquire a cake for a baby shower. We were greeted (if you can even call it a greeting) by a man behind the counter. He wasn't helpful whatsoever and was very rude and callous. He said we had waited too long to put in an order for a cake and stated we should have done in weeks in advance. He didn't offer any other options and by the end of the conversation I decided to take my business elsewhere. My family and I have ordered many cakes in the past from here and have never experienced anything like this, I'm very disappointed with the lack of customer service he provided. I will definitely not be coming back thanks to this one individual, who seems to have many negative yelp reviews written about him already. read more

I was not happy with the cake I received for my daughter's 13 birthday today. I was very specific with what I wanted and even sent photos which wasn't even close to what I sent. The cake itself was subpar, the cookies and cream filling was barely there and so extremely sweet! When I spoke to Craig on the phone I mentioned that another bakery had told me that "black-dyed buttercream would be bitter and not good" and he responded with "that's only because they don't know what they're doing." But Simply Cakes' black-dyed buttercream was bitter and awful tasting. There was no gold on the top of the cake like the picture i sent showed. I'm just glad i didn't go with the two-tired cake I originally wanted to order only to pay $230+ and be disappointed. Even this 6" cake wasn't worth $50+. Sorry, but I'm so upset and disappointed. In April my husband and I celebrated our anniversary and as usual we ordered our favorite flavor Pink Champagne cake with Raspberry Bevarian from them, and Oh was it to die for! If you don't believe me about how well their cakes tast, watch the expert judges on Ultimate Cake Off on TLC rate their cakes in taste. Richard and the crew won the most impressive a difficult category in cake baking; which I for one feel is the most important in cake delivery, and that was TASTE! Simply Cakes Etc. Is where you go when you want beautiful great tasting cakes that have been designed and planned out for you. I have been a Simply Cakes regular for the past 5 years and travel 60 miles both ways to get these cakes; they make a cake for every occasion in our family, but Richard has been making cakes for my family since the 90's when he worked for someone else. SIMPLY NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS BAKERY !!!! Let me SIMPLY warn you through my NOT so SIMPLE experience.... We needed a one tier fondant cake for a 1 year old's b-day..in five weeks. So we walked in and were pretty much left on our own....only to be told to ring the bell when we needed help.....WOW... SIMPLE customer service would have been SIMPLY nice ;) So we rang the bell....to be told by Mr. SIMPLY RUDE: A.K.A... LOVE THIS PLACE. I have four children and every time their birthdays roll around...I pay Jen a visit over at Simply Cakes. I have had a mickeys playhouse cake built for my twins first birthday, Beach themed cake for my daughter, and a Dodgers cake made for my son. I also have them make me cookies to go along with the cake as a party favor for the kids. Can't say enough about their designs ...it's truly amazing how they create these cakes. The owners of this "long established" bakery do an amazing job at creating ambiance style cakes to fit your special occasion or add decor to their ready to go cakes if you are in a time crunch. The texture of the cakes and the frostings beg you to have a second helping. Their store offers other nibbles from cookies to cupcakes to pastries.
