I came across Simplify Valet Storage by word from a friend who uses the service and I have to say they took care of everything I had been worried about. Simplify Valet Storage is extremely convenient storage whereby they send bins which I placed some apartment belongings along with winter clothes to be stored whilst I move elsewhere. For bigger Items such as TV unit, mattress, coffee table etc. they sent two associates who came to my home and took extreme care and were diligent whilst packing them to be stored which I really appreciated. I was also pleased with how prompt I was contacted and how I was treated as a customer. Another positive is their unit storage option was far cheaper than others I had looked at. It's a storage service I'd fully recommend and will be using again in the future for sure. read more

I wanted to like this company. The furniture pickup was smooth and I like the people I was interacting with. We had simplify storage pack the larger and more delicate items. When we got the items back from storage there was a significant amount of damage. The sofa was dragged on the ground with the upholstery unprotected, causing tears and other damage to the fabric. When asked, the mover said the sofa wasn't sufficiently protected. Also an antique state was split. When I called to complain, the response was "We can issue a refund of $50 for the damage to the couch per our T&Cs". I was offended by this amount and took some time to consult legal options. I didn't get around to it and a couple of months later asked for the $50. They have ghosted my four emails requesting this. Simplify Valet Storage did a completely INCREDIBLE job moving and storing all of my things. This wasn't a typical storage job -- I had them move and store my entire apartment while I figured out where to live. They were flexible and understanding with pricing when I didn't know how long I would need to have my things in storage. Their moving services are better than any mover I've ever used before (and I've moved enough times to make you cry). All my stuff was delivered back to me in perfect condition. AND they disassembled/reassembled everything perfectly. Everyone at Simplify was a pleasure to deal with. The folks in the office and the movers couldn't have been any nicer. Update: Got my stuff back in Feb 2022. Same professional, timely service. No complication, easy to schedule, just as simple as could be. The only minor issue, which is not at all their fault, but useful to know if you're thinking of longterm storage is if you get a full unit I don't think it's climate controlled and after 1.5 years, my couch had gotten pretty musty. I had a cleaning service come out and they were able to salvage it, but if you have something irreplaceable it's something to keep in mind. read more

We have used Simplify for a few months. The service is fairly quick, we were able to schedule drop off and pick up a day in advance during their business hours of M- S 9am to 6pm. You can't schedule to get your things on a Sunday. When we signed up we lured in by the $30/ month. We didn't realize we would get charged $20/retrieval fee to access ours bins so it makes it much more expensive, especially if you need to access your belongings more than a couple times a month. The retrival fee is in the faqs but was never mentioned when we spoke with their sales rep, just the $30/ month. If you plan to store items you don't need access to often it could be a good deal. If you think will want access to belongings then I suggest budgeting in the $20 fee to access your bins. read more

While OZ tried to fleece me Simplify charged much less for improved services that include 1 year of free storage. Simplify included plastic bins for packing my belongings while Oz did not give any supplies. Simplify brought a team of three movers that moved my studio (filled to the brim with belongings) in only a few short hours. There were absolutely no problems with the move and the movers were all cheerful. Simplify's management was responsive in their communications with me regarding the move. Simplify Storage really took the stress out of moving. I can't recommend them enough. They are amazing!! I used Simplify Storage when I was moving apartment and had a few months between my lease. I stored my bed and possessions in their blue bins. The website was really easy to used and I loved the virtual closet feature where I could see what I had in storage at any time. Their pricing was also very affordable and the cheapest I found when doing research. I got the storage bins dropped off about a week before my move to I could spread out the packing. The collection and delivery made my move hassle free and so much less stressful. Anyone I interacted with at Simplify Storage was very nice and they were able to help me access and plan my storage needs. They arrived on time and overall their service exceeded my expectations. I'm so glad I never got a storage unit I had to visit myself and went with Simply Storage instead. They offer a great service and I recommend them to anyone I know looking for storage in NYC. Wow, I'm not sure what is going on with the other reviews but I had an amazing experience with simplify. Originally contracted them to help store some extra stuff while subleasing, eventually used them as a place to store my items as I moved apartments. Seriously couldn't say better things about them - professional, courteous, on time. A lot of times you get movers with attitudes, but the guys from Simplify didn't complain even moving boxes down 5 flights of stairs. Also very effecient - a pick up never took more than 8 minutes. Only advice would be for a smaller window of time for pick ups - 2 hours to wait for someone potentially is a long time to waste. read more

Have only had a great experience with Simplify - we live in an apartment in Brooklyn with very little storage and really needed somewhere to store our seasonal belongings. We use the valet service regularly and is ideal because we don't own a car and can have the items quickly! Pick up & drop off is an extra cost each time you need it but it still beats renting a car and the time it takes! The employee who does pick up/drop off is great and is always on time and carries everything in and out of your apartment with no issues! Definitely convenient and I like that they combine a few services into one (we have bins + a storage unit with them). 5* ! read more

I was very disappointed with the lack of communication and fees that were charged without notice. Even though I had my furniture moved out of a storage unit after a few days at the beginning of the month, they charged me for the entire month and refused to prorate the monthly fee based on actual days used. I was also told I didn't have to unpack storage bins on the spot when they were moved and that they'd pick them up later for no charge, only to see later that they charged me unknowingly for bin rental fees. read more

Love this concept, and how affordable and easy it is to store with Simplify. Yes, it's $20 to access your stuff, but that means they bring you your stuff (all the way to a 4th floor walkup in my case!) give you enough time to fetch what you need, then take it away. I'd pay $20 for an Uber there and back and still have to lug what I needed to access all the way home. For winter clothes and seasonal items you really can't beat Simplify's storage program. read more

Unprofessional and a pain. They don't run a transparent business and point fingers at their customers for their shortcomings. Their movers are late, their customer service is incompetent, and you need to call them to remove your bank account information / profile. The FAQ page has the most important info, but it's like their website hides it (I work with branding and design, and this is clearly intentional or an embarrassing lack of vision), in fact the Home page and How It Works page only detail the most basic parts of their service, specifically leaving out other important details (strict month-to-month policy, movers fee which is basically at least $200, etc.) I spent around $400 more than I expected - this is for 1 month. I cannot recommend this company for quick moves enough-- I had about two days to get everything in storage from January 10th to February 1st, and Simplify Storage took care of everything. In addition to not having a minimum number of months for storage, they came and moved everything out and back in, and brought boxes for me to use. The move in and out service cost hundreds less than a single move-out session that I did a couple months back! They were VERY on time, even when I specified a certain time within a time window. Always polite and did a very good job at being careful with my belongings- nothing was scratched or chipped, which I've experienced with movers in the past.
