Each person took the time to introduce themselves, learn our names, and shake our hands, and that first impression really set the tone for the whole move. They took incredible care of our home and our belongings. They covered the doors, protected the floors, and carefully wrapped and covered all of our furniture before moving anything. It was obvious that they weren't just trying to get the job done, they genuinely cared about doing it the right way. They even finished ahead of their estimated time, which was an awesome bonus! As a veteran, I especially appreciated how well they took care of my family and us throughout the entire process. They even offer a veterans discount, which was a really meaningful touch.

Absolutely recommend Bailey's Moving Company. Gio and Josh rapidly knocked out the job with real…read morecare and attention to detail. They were real pros, and on an easily 100+ heat index day, it can slow things down considerably, with a 3 staircase climb over and over. I needed a 2 person crew for a 10 minute move from a 3rd floor apartment in South Austin to a relatively nearby home. Richard Bailey messaged me here on Yelp and to my phone number after I contacted multiple movers. I can only say one slightly negative thing here. At first contact, I wasn't entirely certain that they had accepted my job offer and date. I did have to message a few times to make sure the date and time was actually locked down. I, and so many of us, have been "flaked" on in the past, as I did a few times in Nashville somewhat recently. So I felt I had to reach out a little more as I had a very tight timeline and was just trying to get all my ducks in a row. However with a few messages we did lock in the day and time with a couple days to spare. I would just say that when we are here putting multiple offers on Yelp, you do end up getting blasted by some companies immediately, too much so, but it does make them "seem eager" to lock in the job. Just a little better first contact would be the only slightly negative thing I could say. On to the great: I received a call and message from Gio of their ETA the day before and on the day, which they met. The heat/humidity combination got really bad, still they had surprisingly great attitudes and asked all the right questions when they came up. They wrapped and protected all the furniture as if it was going in a cross country van/semi-trailer. Going down apartment steps, everyone's furniture has gotten scratched and bonked and movers have just said.. oh well. These guys knew exactly what they were doing and everything arrived perfectly. They even had me "direct" them to which room or area as they pulled carts of boxes up to the home. Gio and Josh were just good people, hard workers with real attention to detail and a positive attitude. I don't have any other reviews on Yelp, as far as I know, so here I am highly recommending Baileys Moving Company. I'll try to use them again if and when it happens next, and I'll be recommending them to any friends that are looking for help moving. Good to meet you guys and thanks again for the great work. - CV

I would send email and left voicemails concerning the contract and that should have been my sign to back out. I arranged to have packers and movers. I expected Bellhop to show up and I am assuming Bellhop is a broker and contracted Robles Moving. The packers showed up on time and brought only 6 wardrobe boxes for a full 1 bedroom packing. Of course Samuel was not returning any phone calls, but the movers called their manager and Samuel put this down and all I would need. I had to wait 2 hours while one of the workers went back to the warehouse to get more boxes. The movers did not check the closets and ran out of boxes. I then have to go to Home Depot for more boxes. They folded my hanging clothes and put them in a small box instead of using the wardrobe boxes I brought. The movers wasted the garment boxes on a hodge podge of items. To think I gave the movers rugs that I didn't want a beverages to drink and to be done like this is absurd. Now onto the mover. I had to double check behind them twice because they were going to leave things. (Which they left my step ladder). Stringing at my new apartment they scratch up the from door and laid my bicycle again the wall which resulted in marks and a gash in the wall. The some of the boxes were mixed with everything. The movers scratched my wood tv stand, broke my bookshelf in to places and scratched the hardwood floors. I would not wish this company on my enemies.

1 Star -- An Extremely Disappointing and Traumatic Moving Experience…read more It has taken me a couple of months to process this experience and honestly get past how traumatic it was, which is why I am only now writing this review. This was my second time using Evolution Movers, and I deeply regret trusting them with my belongings a second time. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. From the beginning, the movers made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable. There were rude, condescending comments made about my belongings, and my wishes regarding how my home and property were handled were repeatedly disregarded. They insisted on going through areas of my home despite my objections and showed a complete lack of care when it came to doorways, floors, and my personal property. I even purchased drinks for the crew, only to have one of the movers tell me, with an attitude, that he didn't like grape Powerade. My belongings were made fun of, and I could hear complaints about having to move certain items, including my plants. As a customer who had hired and paid for a professional moving service, I found this behavior incredibly disrespectful. Unfortunately, the problems weren't limited to their attitude. Multiple items were damaged or broken during transit. Their truck also tore up my driveway while backing in, once again demonstrating what felt like a complete disregard for my property. Perhaps one of the most unprofessional things I witnessed was the movers working out on our gym equipment while they were on the clock. I did purchase insurance through the company to protect against damage. However, getting the damage addressed was not a simple process. It ultimately required me to have a contractor come out, assess the damage, and provide a written estimate before the company would cover the full amount of the insurance I had purchased. I did make management aware of what happened. The explanation I received was that they were understaffed and hot, as though those circumstances explained or excused the way I and my belongings were treated. Being understaffed or working in the heat does not justify disrespecting a customer's home, belongings, property, or boundaries. As a veteran and healthcare professional, I have always believed in treating people and their property with respect, professionalism, and dignity. I expect the same when I hire a company to come into my home and handle everything I have worked hard for. This experience was far beyond simply having a few things damaged during a move. It was the overall lack of professionalism, respect, care, and consideration that made this experience so upsetting. I gave Evolution Movers a second opportunity based on my previous experience with the company. I sincerely regret that decision. I cannot recommend Evolution Movers based on my experience. If you are considering hiring them, I strongly encourage you to ask very specific questions about how they handle property, damage, employee conduct, and customer complaints before trusting them with your home and belongings.

During the move, their crew wrapped and transported my 55-inch Samsung television, which was fully functional prior to the move. After unwrapping and powering it on at my new residence, I discovered severe panel damage, including cracking and vertical line distortion, ruining the TV. We observed the crew drop a plastic box containing personal belongings and drop our mattress, demonstrating careless handling practices. I booked the Basic Move option and was informed verbally that damage claims are considered on a case-by-case basis. Despite this, my claim for replacement value was formally denied, citing lack of a specialty TV box and basic coverage. Attached are photos of the damaged television. Day 2 they took 13 hours to move half of a house with two small trailers. They also had no tools and had to use ours (simple drills, screwdriver etc). Keep in mind we paid to have them disassemble and assemble in the one day move. They ruined a brand new mattress with grease hand stains, and did not put our front door back on hinges properly. And to boot...they quoted $4,700 for the move and then hit us with a $5,300 bill, saying their guys worked 30 mins over the quote. The main issue being that they took longer because we had to unpack and find our tools to allow them to use. ***edit to respond to Victoria*** This response is a perfect example of the miscommunication and lack of professionalism. Nobody ever requested to leave a tv up. The day of packing, my husband was playing Xbox and said "whenever yall need to pack this let me know and I'll shut this down". This is also when we discovered that they did not have any tools to remove the TV, so, the TV wasn't going to be removed either way that day. Nobody was ever asked to "make beds" but we paid to have them put together (assembled). The movers also were not met with hostility. You had a group of young men with neck tattoos talking and bragging about their time in prison in front of everyone (including our children). My husband did the responsible thing, which was to address the staff as a whole. I'll mention he also tipped each one $100 bill at the end. We did this because it was apparent that the fault was on managment and not the individuals. They came both days unprepared without proper tools. Two separate groups of movers on two different days being paid to pack, dis-assemble and re-assemble furniture. (How is that possible?) Nobody was ever "cussed out" in person or on the phone. My husband called the very next morning and left a voicemail for the owner that was never returned. This response and lack of accountability again proves why I would never recommend this company.

My disappointment is with the company's pricing, communication, and billing practices--not with the moving crew. The final cost was nearly double the estimate, and several additional charges were either not clearly disclosed beforehand or contradicted what I had originally been told. I paid a $50 booking fee, but the charges were so confusing that I am still not sure whether it was applied to my final bill. I was initially told that the company offered a healthcare/first-responder discount. Later, I was told that it did not, but that a military discount would be substituted. When I questioned the unexpected charges, the original representative who sold me the job suggested that perhaps the discount should be taken away because I was upset about the bill. I found that comment extremely unprofessional. Afterward, that representative would not take my call. I had to call multiple times before I was finally able to speak with a "Raving Fans" representative about my concerns. This made an already frustrating situation even more difficult. I was also charged separately for materials after being told they were included. In addition, I was charged more than $80 in credit-card processing fees, which had not been clearly disclosed to me in advance. Before booking, I specifically discussed certain services needed for my home and was assured that the movers could handle them. Once the move was underway, I was told they could not provide those services. By the end, I felt nickel-and-dimed with expensive, unexpected charges and changing information. Again, the movers themselves were excellent, but customers should receive clear, accurate pricing and realistic information about available services before committing. Unfortunately, based on my overall experience with the company, I cannot recommend them.

The final bill we were charged was 25% more than the highest estimated range we were given ($6000 -$8000). Our bill was over $10,000 for packing a 2500 sf home and moving eight (8) miles. The amount of supplies they used and charged us for was an exorbitant & wasteful amount. The crew rewrapped things already labeled and in moving boxes from a move the year before. They wrapped items almost individually (ex., typical plastic, *unbreakable* bottles of spices were wrapped by 2's in large sheets of paper). Nightstand and dresser drawers were emptied and boxed instead of just wrapping the drawers closed with the contents (for an 8 mile trip). Towels were removed and boxed instead of wrapping them in plastic wrap in the towel stand holding them. Interestingly, several cans of vegetables were placed inside two unwrapped, fragile, large bowls so both bowls were broken. They wrapped every little thing in wrapping paper, even a LIVE, potted plant and put it in a box with bookcase items - of course it died since we opened "bookcase" items last. They wrapped and loaded dinnerware, kitchen appliances, and glassware and put them all in large/tall boxes so those boxes were heavy/difficult to move from one room to the other which we had to do after they left bc half the boxes were mislabeled; kitchen boxes were delivered to bedrooms and vice versa. Our coffee maker was put in a box with linen closet items - it took a week to find it and when we did there was mold growing inside the tank. When we got the final bill we were shocked. My husband called Andrew to discuss the many issues we had he was told the team of packers had just taken a course in packing for military customers (which we are not, nor was that explained to us before we hired 2CBM) who move cross country and that's how he justified the high (& surprising) charge for the large amount of supplies and man hours to overpack us. To say the whole experience was frustrating and overwhelming (so much more time was involved unwrapping each little thing) is a real understatement. The fact that Andrew didn't inform us or warn us about their new military style packing and moving regimen seems unprofessional and shifty. He is unwilling to compensate for what seems like fleecing and overcharging us. We asked if he could reduce any of the bill or at least get closer to the high end of the estimate - he would not and didn't offer a dime. This was the second time we hired this outfit. First time was March 2024. Our experience was night and day difference. My husband was the point of contact for Andrew thru the entire process this time and they are the ones who planned the in-person walk thru appointment, and the packing and move dates. They signed the contract. However, Andrew only emailed me ~ I didn't meet with him, didn't talk to him. He has my husband's cell number. Andrew said since my husband didn't question the bill (which was sent to my email?) until after the cc was charged there was nothing he could do or would do. I emphatically would never hire this company again and regret that we hired them for our move. And yes, I have pictures of the things i mentioned above. The one star above is only bc it's impossible to have no stars.
