Wish I could give negative stars. This location has no regard for quality pt care. I arrived at 4:45 and the girl at the front desk asked for my info. By the time she looked up my name and at my paperwork it was 4:47. She handed me my forms back and told me they stop taking XRays at 4:45. As a healthcare provider myself I would NEVER treat a patient with this level of disregard or concern for their time and effort to come in. To the young woman with facial piercings at the front desk - you need to do better. To this facility manager - fix this. I'll be asking to use a different imaging provider instead and won't be back here if I can help it. read more

No drama here. Setting appointment for 3 different tests went perfectly smooth by phone. They got me set up for all 3 on the same day, same facility and all right after the other except for a 5 minute wait for the mammogram. Now originally, I would of had to wait one hour for my Echo Cardiogram but a customer was still doing paperwork and I was there and ready so the tech took me in. Incredibly disappointed with the staff and service I received. Will never return and will tell everyone I know to never go to a SimonMed. Long description below, but sharing in detail so that no one experiences the same thing I did. I went in with my father for his MRI because he needed to take medication (caused extreme drowsiness and dizziness) prior to the scans. As we arrived they took his information and approved for him to take the medication so it would start kicking in. About 20 minutes later the receptionist told us his insurance was expired (which it was not, he used it the day prior), and he could not be seen. After push back from him, she said she would try again. Another 15 minutes goes by and I approached the desk for an update, she said it was still coming back as inactive, and I asked her to call the insurance directly, she said she would. Another 15 minutes went by, and I approached her again, frustrated at this point because the medication was in full effect and worried it would wear off by the time he did the MRI. She finally told me that they are not responsible for calling the insurance and she hadn't been communicating with them AT ALL. I finally called the insurance company, and they confirmed it was active and approved. The receptionist took this information, but then informed me that we could not be seen since our appointment time was over. She suggested we "wait in the reception area in hopes of a no-show" even though they were fully booked till 9:00 PM. They deferred us to another location. Before leaving, I confirmed with her that they had the proper MRI/test at the next location and he would be seen, which she confirmed. She would not give me her name or the MRI techs name when I asked for them. We arrived at the other location and they were unable to do the scan he needed. It is incredibly poor practice to tell a patient to take a mind/body altering medication for a procedure, then deny them the appointment and scan they needed. It is also incredibly unprofessional to keep a patient waiting for an hour, then inform them that they can't be seen. This could have all been avoided and handled if they would have contact the insurance directly, or even told me to call them when we got the first expired notice. They should have had him hold on taking the medicine until the insurance was final and approved. I'm glad I went with him and was able to handle the situation as he experienced the dramatic effects of the medicine. SimonMed should be ashamed that they told a patient to take medication, then not give proper care or promised testing the medication was purposed for. Retroactive billing, picking up a phone and calling, all these things are in place to avoid situations like this. read more

Simon Med has a lot of work to do on their website! I couldn't log in to cancel, reschedule my appointment. Called tech support twice and still couldn't get it done. I had to miss my appointment due to technical issues with their website scheduling process. I will be requesting another imaging company in the future. As Ieave this review I see many one star reviews for similar issues that further confirms my resolve to not give them my business in the future! They can't even schedule a stat appointment correctly. I went through 3 different people in one day. Got a text next the morning of my STAT appointment saying it was canceled. I'm in the process of trying to rule out if I have a kidney stone or not, and I am in pain and they can't even get it right if I could give zero stars or negative stars I would and it doesn't help when you call after 4 PM that nobody speaks English. read more

WARNING- Check YOUR INSURANCE benefits before going here so you KNOW WHAT YOUR expected COST for the procedure will be! This facility tied to ask me for 230 dollars out of pocket!!! I had already done my research and had my health ins app showing MY COST, it was 65 dollars!!! When the woman at the front was shown my app and I told her my cost she shrugged her shoulders and BACKED down. But not until I said she was WRONG and she insisted she "looked it up" and I I said well so did I and I have the proof here on my phone! This company doesn't employ bright front office staff and the result is careless and lazy staff who aren't interested in getting it correct. I haven't a clue where she got the price she quoted me when I walked in to have an ultrasound but she should be ashamed to do this. They must bill you for the procedure not shake you down and demand fake estimated costs up front! Know your health plan before going here and make sure the health insurance plan tells you what your cost will be for your specific procedure! This company has a long history of doing this. Also the FEDERAL law in effect now for 18 months says they MUST tell you what they charge for a procedure! This place is horrible, poor scheduling, you will sit their forever. Then they don't do what the doctor ordered, then we uncovered I have allergy to iodine dye, could't have the tests done ordered by the doctor. They did one without die or contrast, not ordered by the doctor? Then they wanted me to come back for the other test, I already paid one fee for 2 cast scans$150. Now have to pay another fee to come back for a different test. But they wanted me to come back with a 2 days loading up of some medications to get a cat scan with iodine die. I told them I'm not doing that, they are doing things illegal, then not pre-certified by Cigna medicare?? read more

My mom had a mammogram at Rome Towers, and they called us back saying that they couldn't see something on her scans, so they told us to make another appointment for a re-scan, NOT another procedure, and told us it would be free of cost, since they told us themselves that something went wrong with the scans. When we got there, they told us we had to pay something upward of $300 so we asked why, to find out that we were not doing a re-scan, but a whole different scan procedure where we would have to pay. The woman talking to us was, in my opinion, a little condescending, but I guess you can do that when you don't inform your patient that they're doing a whole other procedure, and not the re-scan they claimed was free on the phone, just so you can steal another $300. I made sure to call back customer service to see if we can reach a resolution, but number 1, they just didn't pick up which I get, they must be busy and all, but number 2, when I left them a voicemail, they just never got back to me. My mom has been going to SimonMed for some time, so this level of care was completely unexpected and honestly, scummy. Unfortunately, all we could do is go along with it, as my mom is aging, but I wouldn't trust this location too much OR customer service. I am a cash pay patient and they knew at both appointments. I had a mammogram and ultrasound done on both breasts in February 2022. I was charged 95$ (s/a) in office, and was told to follow up in six months. I did so in September 2022, per SimonMed I was only needing the ultrasound on both breasts. In office I was charged 172.56$(s/a). When I called the automated voice states the accounts remaining balance was 709.44$(s/a), I was shocked. How is it costing me eight times what it costed me six months ago? I then spoke with a representative, she was not able to tell me why it was costing so much when i only had the ultrasound with no mammogram. However she was able to give me a cash pay discount of 70% off,  making the bill 212$(s/a). The full total now being 385$. Had I been made aware at the time that it would cost that much, I would of never of scheduled the testing. I am on a fixed income and am only able to pay 10$ a month and have been since November 2022. They just sent a letter stating that the 10$(s/a) a month is not enough. I will never have any testing done with SimonMed ever again, very disappointed. They wouldn't get a star, however to post I had to put one. read more

If I could give this place and the scheduling for SimonMed a zero I would. Three weeks ago I scheduled a Mammogram. The day of my appointment they leave a message that they rescheduled the appointment. I called and they told me because I needed a referral from my doctor for a diagnostic mammogram. So I call my doctor to send the correct referral and rescheduled my appointment. Day of the second appointment they call and leave a message that they had to reschedule the appointment. So I call and ask why. Nobody knows why but she rescheduled me the same day at a different location later in the day. I show up and they tell me there is no appointment that was set. What!!!!! On the phone I made sure the right procedure and time and double check and still feel like no one knows anything. It is very frustrating to waste time and money to run around and be on the phone trying to figure why they are giving you the run around. This business better get their act together. I'm never coming back. There are places much more organized, know what their doing and have a better customer service!!! read more

Miserable people should not work in the medical field. It is disappointing when you are in pain and have to deal with unprofessional people. The girl at the front named Madison is a reflection of poor management to allow someone so rude to great patients. Being in pain and having lazy people fail to do a job and confirm with the insurance company weeks in advance is frustrating to deal with when someone is in pain! I should have checked the reviews first and would have known to avoid Simon Med especially after the first call to schedule the appointment. I will bullet point to simplify how horrible this office staff is. * Called to schedule the appointment at the end of the day and was given a date and time. * Receptionist took so long the appointment was gone and had to give me a much later appointment a couple days later and at 6:30PM. * The day of the appointment they called and left a message to say the insurance approved for another imaging center and to call to have Simon Med assigned as the imaging center So far not too bad but WTF, my appointment was scheduled almost two weeks ago and they confirmed with my insurance the day of? * I called the insurance who said the request to change usually takes 24-48 hours and the imaging centers are aware. * My Insurance rushed the request and sent it over. * Simon Med of course said they didn't have it until a couple of back and forth calls between my insurance and them before they finally confirmed. * I get to the appointment and the girl up front already knows I'm the last appointment and instead of acknowledging me she turns to her coworker trying to get her attention only to quietly say, this is the 6:30 and the other girl looks around the corner. Then she finally looks at me and loudly asks, Are You Here to Check in? Because we are 45 minutes behind right now so do you still want to check in? Needing an MRI standing in pain but it was too obvious this place can careless and would more than likely lose my MRI based on their competency levels I said no I didn't want to check in. Not surprised to see all the other bad reviews unfortunately. We came here for a fetal anatomy scan. We followed the instructions provided to us about check in via email about 15 minutes before the appointment and entered the office and sat down. The front desk employee Raven was very rude. she proceeded to yell over the office to us if we "needed something" and then condescendingly reprimand us when we told her we checked in online by telling us "no you don't, check in only happens with me". I approached the desk to tell her that I had followed the instructions given to me by her company. She continued to be rude while collecting the information I had already provided and confirmed twice through their check in process. Once we were finally pulled back to our appointment, the tech was even rude. At this point, I was upset at the way we'd been treated and after her snapping at me and my husband I asked her if she was okay. She expressed frustration at the front desk taking too long to send us back and I told her I get it, the front desk was extremely rude to us, but I'm not sure what I did to deserve that treatment. After that, she was much more friendly, but we will never go back to this location again. (Also apparently that wasn't the techs normal location) What was supposed to be a happy experience of us getting to sneak a peek at our baby instead was an experience of us being treated like we were imbeciles. Ok, completely by accident I scheduled another test at this SimonMed-I literally thought it was the location 1 mile south & went there first but, nope, so this is my second horrible experience with SimonMed Spectrum. First, I was required to pay $415 up front for applying to insurance instead of the $300 cash price. When I was called back for the MRI, the technician was in such a hurry (I would have rather waited or rescheduled) that he quickly told me to drop my things on the table & climb into the bed. He fired off questions about metal so fast I couldn't think. I realized I had a watch on so I took that off and got on the bed. He threw a plunger into my hand & pushed the button on the conveyor to roll me into the tube...I realized quickly it was louder than past experiences & he came on the speaker asking 'did I give you earplugs?' NO!!! He pulled me back out & dropped them into my hand & hit the return button so fast I barely got my head down in time to avoid hitting it on tube on the way back in. When the machine started, the ring on my hand started to vibrate...I panicked & squeezed the plunger & he asked, 'can I help you?' I told him I had my ring on & he said, 'you'll be fine' & resumed the test. I laid there for the remaining 15 minutes with tears rolling down my cheeks desperately trying to get my ring off of my left hand with my fingers because I was terrified of what it meant to have metal on, but I wasn't allowed to move my limbs...In past MRI's at different facilities they had taken the time and made great efforts to have me change out of my clothes & be sure I had absolutely no metal on. I had no idea why this was so important but it obviously was and this man clearly valued his schedule over my well-being. When it was over, he held up a garbage can for my earplugs & said I was free to go. Wow!!! Zero customer care, from the contrite attitude of the front desk to the flippant technician, I will NEVER patronize or trust a SimonMed for any type of imaging again. This is not my first bad experience with this company but it will be my last. There are too many good facilities to choose from and give my money to. When your doctor orders tests, ask them what options you have and do not assume this is the only one-when I called my doctor's office to tell them this about my experience in case the test is faulty, they informed me that I could have gone somewhere else-ugh! read more

I recently went through testing at the Spectrum location to determine if I had breast cancer. The radiologist, Dr. Jennifer Lin, first had the ultrasound tech tell me I was fine, then contacted my doctor to say I needed a biopsy and her report stated the findings were on my left when, in fact, it was my right breast that was examined. To add insult to injury, I've left multiple messages on the "compliance" line (all unanswered), left a message for a compliance supervisor & with a district manager. The utter lack of professionalism is astounding not to mention the malpractice of their breast cancer testing protocols. Inexcusable & shameful! read more

Front desk lied to me. Tried to charge me. I know my benefits. Showed them my benefits page. They said they would call and have a seat. Within 5 minutes I went back up and they said yup we called your insurance you owe it. If I didn't pay I could have my credit card added. I refused. And they cancelled my appointment. I called Cigna when I got home and was told I owed nothing and no one from Simon med called to verify. There were multiple customers just as frustrated. Took 20 min to be checked in even though we had appointments. It's one thing to be short staffed. Another to lie to patience. Very unprofessional. read more

They wanted to charge me full price and forced me to give them a credit card rather than doing my insurance like every other doctor in the country. All of this is not my first time with Simon med and they have never done this in the past. Making the appointment was painful as well the receptionist on the phone was rude uncaring and unsympathetic about time constraints. They are overbooked understaffed and do not have enough locations opened enough hours to see everybody. I was very disappointed. I had an appointment for a scan. After waiting in line outside in the sun, because of social distancing, I checked in and was told I would be called soon. I heard the other receptionist telling the other patients how long the wait was depending on what their appointment was for. After patiently waiting for 45 minutes I asked how much longer I had to wait. I was told I was next. After another 45 minutes I got up too voice my disappointment I was called in. A total of 2 hours I waited for a 10 minute test. If I had been told it was going to be 2 hours I would have rescheduled. I certainly am going to see what my other options are the next time I need that service. Use any place else besides this one. They are inept and incompetent in the front office. After rescheduling at least because they had an issue with insurance. Then driving 75 miles for the appointment, we arrived for the scans. They even sent a confirmation email to check in, which we did. Once I went in I was told that they couldn't do the scans because the tech that injects the contrast wasn't there. We would have to reschedule again some time and have to do 2 separate appointments. The earliest they couldn't do this until January. We have been trying to schedule this since October 15. Why didn't they call to say there was a problem? No. Absolutely not. On doctors orders I made an appt for a cardiac CT back in Jan. Appt was two days ago Apr 6. Received confirmation text within a day of scheduling it. I called last week to double check. Yes. Everything fine. So ..... they cancelled me the AFTERNOON BEFORE the test. Supposedly some person in charge of everything cardio never approved it. Left me a VM to say they don't do those at that time of day, haven't contracted a radiologist, need insurance pre-approval etc etc. etc. They had THREE months to look at my appointment and raise any concerns they had. Left a message for the 'lady in charge of everything (apparently)' to ask why and express my displeasure. So ....... did this person get back to me to apologize or explain and try to help? The dressing room was disgusting, no way that place was wiped down from patient to patient. 30 minutes behind for my appointment and when I inquired, they called to the back and didn't get an answer then I was told to take a seat because she needed to help someone else... I did as I was told, not asked or even requested, told... excuse me I was scheduled for an appointment that you are now 30 min late on, you need to take care of me before you take care of someone who just walked in. My physician requested that I have my Mammogram and US performed at SimonMed. I asked for another Imaging facility due to my displeasure and distrust with SimonMed in previous years. Unfortunately, she submitted the paperwork and convinced me that I had not been to SimonMed in 6-7 years and things probably changed for the better. I should have stood my ground!!! Nothing but problems!!! 1. Once greeted you are immediately asked for payment in full or must leave a credit card on file. The full amount will be deducted within a six month period regardless of amount. If you request to be billed, your told that your appointment will be canceled and rescheduled once you're able to pay. 2. After the extremely long wait, you are corralled in a small confinement waiting for your test to be administered. Once you are called back, you are met with (Debbie) who is the most miserable and unkind woman.You are then put back into the corral for another 30-60 minutes of waiting for the next exam. 3. Debbie will come out screaming at the top of her lungs about a female not to be sleeping in a males bed. This muffled screaming went on and on. According to the woman next to me, this was Deb's third go at it. We were all so uncomfortable and were contemplating leaving. A coworker of Deb's came out in disbelief. She confirmed that it was her coworker and requested that we complain at the front desk. 4. In the meantime I was told all of my tests were fine and they would see me next year. Shocker (not really) to receive a letter in the mail less than a week later stating I had abnormal results that required repeat testing an MRI and consult with a surgeon. 5. When I asked to speak to a supervisor when checking out, the clerk leaned back in her chair to relay the message. Considering the supervisor was right next to the person I was checking out with and could be seen and heard she scoffed, "What is it about?" The staff member told the supervisor it was about Deb. At that point, I was told to wait in the lobby and she would come get me. 20-30 minutes later still no supervisor so I left. Being in that facility for 4 hours for a mere 60 testing was exhausting. Once I got home I called and left several messages. Surprise, no response. Fast forward they have overcharged me for my services and I am still trying to get a refund. I cannot say enough negative things about SimonMed. When I read other patients experiences, I can't help but to think if they are taking our medical care serious. Why are so many patients being told everything is fine only to request the same test to be repeated? I have been told on 3 separate occasions to come back and repeat expensive testing. read more

Went back to the desk at 140- complained about it and then got bright back at 148 said I was next. It's highly frustrating watching a whole lot of people come and go and you're just waiting. Probably need to reassess the scheduling procedures. Upon getting back into the ultrasound at about 2pm the tech was very kind and clearly overbooked! I went there last week for a mammogram. The woman at the front desk was pretty friendly and had good customer service. For some reason though the waiting area just seems over crowded and depressing. They tried to decorate it and make it look nice but for some reason it just doesn't seem very inviting. My lack of stars and is mostly based of the technician that did my mammogram. Granted I know this is not a pleasant procedure however if you're going to smash my boobs in the machine you could at least be compassionate about it. Instead when I spoke up and said that it really hurt much more then any other mammogram I've had before, she gave me an attitude like, well that's just the way it is, too bad for you. She didn't do the other side as hard as she did the right side. My breast felt like it had been bruised, and it was very uncomfortable. Show a little compassion and tell me it's going to be over soon something to help people cope. She just acted like she could care less. Then when I was finished she asked me for the doctors order. I had put it in my purse and I got it out of my purse and gave it to her. She seemed very annoyed and said "well this is for a diagnostic I just did a screening." I said well what am I supposed to do about that. It's not my fault that she asked me after she had done test to see what the doctor wanted. I was busy getting changed and didn't even think of giving her the doctors order right away. Shouldn't they have asked for that at the reception desk? Anyway she seemed annoyed and said she would have to call my doctors office. I have no idea how that's going to work out for them, but hopefully it won't cause me any extra problems. I prefer to go somewhere else that specializes in mammograms where the technicians are more compassionate. Skip this place if you can. read more
